NFL Week 8

Pats lost their swagger a bit. also, what the **** is Faulk doing playing for Danny Woodhead? i appreciate him working hard to come back from the inujury, but why not give a younger guy touches he earned??? is Danny even active or is he injured?

Patriots feeding the ball to 35 year old Kevin Faulk. Belichik drafts two running backs and brings back Faulk - now Woodhead is returning kicks. That's the only way he'll see the ball.

Thanks. I hope Tebow can get it going. It is a tough test playing Detroit this quickly but he needs to learn as he goes. I expect Tebow to get better very quickly. I don't care if he throws side arm. Many qb's have done that. As long as he gets his completion percentage up, he will be just fine. I laugh at how many fans and the media don't think that he can run at this level. He has plenty of speed and power. He will punish some of the defenders that try and tackle him. I hope that he can hit Decker on some deep routes today.

The Bengal RB situation makes no sense other than racial favoritism. That can't even possibly be argued otherwise.

it can only be argued with a vague (and inaccurate) "upside" and "big play threat" in Scott. what bull**** that is.

at least Tebow is targeting Decker today! had at least 5 balls thrown his way already!

damn, that would have been a TD had it been Danny running it instead of Faulk...

Last year White RBs took one great leap forward this year they've artificially been pushed back to their intended place.

Are the Bills starting all White line today? My computer feed isn't the greatest. I'm 99 percent sure but with David Nelson looking White on my feed you never know....

Correction: The Broncos pass coverage is the worst I've seen in a long time.
It's rare for a receiver to be in the endzone, 30 yards from any defender.
Well, they've relegated their play-making safety, Kyle McCarthy, who was all over the field (including the backfield, harassing opposing QB's) during pre-season, to their practice squad. That's probably why.

Nice to see Scheffler with the long acrobatic catch and now the TD catch. Now that Denver only goes after affletic TE's, he wouldn't have the chance to do that for them anymore. Too bad for them.

In a year where White QBs have declined, Matt Stafford has certainly been a bright spot!

Horrendous running by Scott, where's Leonard?

White QBs have declined? Even Uncle Chris will disagree with you on that one.

not to mention this is inconsistent with Bellicheck knowing when to give older players the boot. Faulk was never elite and at 35 coming off an injury his play won't be much better. He might overachieve for a few games but that is it.

I had a feeling this would happen, teams would start defending the Patriots more vertically, so they would have to resort to doing more horizontal stuff with yards after the catch, as well as running. Woodhead would be perfect for that. Bellicheck can watch how the Saints use Sproles, Woodhead is stronger than Sproles, has better balance and more agility. They use lots of dump offs and toss plays with pulling lineman, plays that Woodhead has done great on. Instead their rbs have 3.5 ypc with a long of 9. Faulk has 1 reception for 7 yards.

Just watched the Patriots run a direct-snap play on 3rd and 17 to Faulk, who slowly waddled around the left end and then out of bounds. This is an improvement over Woodhead??? Pathetic indeed. Danny would have at least come to within sniffin' distance of the first down, Faulk barely managed 9 yards.

Exactly what I thought. I somewhat admired Belichick coming into this season but this is disgusting.

During his four-season college career, Nelson played in forty-four games, started fourteen, and made forty-six receptions for 630 yards (a 13.7-yard average) and seven touchdowns.

His career stats at Florida should tell the story -- he's obviously a mulatto. The Marxists that run these leagues love shoving these half-breed's in our faces. No way, no how, does a white career college backup, with those paltry stats, ever get a chance to play in a real NFL game, let alone be allowed to be a 'key player'... except at quarterback, perhaps, -- i.e. Matt Cassel.

haha Scott Chandler became a TD machine! his 6th of the season, and 2 today weren't short passes either!

Andy Dalton has 2 TD passes in the first half. He's been very very good for a rookie; in fact if team success is the most important measuring stick he's been a lot more successful than Cam Newton with about one-tenth the media attention.

oh, and btw: Hardesty pulled out lame in first half. surprised he lasted that long!

Beyond qb, no White skills position player would get within sniffing distance of a 53 man roster spot. At best he would be a training camp invitee who would be cut or at best hidden away on the practice squad. He would never make an active roster out of training camp.
