Vikings tie it up on a Peterson run.
He couldn't be bothered to move his lazy ass all game long until he got benched for Toby. Now he runs like a man possessed.
That's going to be an ongoing problem for Minnesota. They're going to suck as long as Peterson feels like his starting job is safe.

The announcers said that "nobody has been able to stop Newton all season".
Uh, I must be living in some bizarro world.
I thought a 2-5 record meant that pretty much everybody has been able to stop him.

but Im sure plenty will mention his rushing tds when people talk about his interceptions for this season.

Yea its such a joke. Honestly though Newton has played well but he has reached his ceiling for his career. He won't play any better than he has now. Teams will figure the offense out and get all his tendencies down.

Ponder looked pretty poor on that series. Although he didn't have a lot of time to throw.

Gabbert has been a real disappointment so far. I know the team around him is bad but he needs to elevate his play.

Hillis just now listed as "O" on ESPN Fantasy Football.....up until a few minutes ago he was "Q"......and the beat goes on. Thankfully, Toby's getting a few carries and averaging 6.8 ypc on 4 carries.....:high5:....which probably means he'll never see the ball again today......

So will ESPN's story all week be that Ponder beat "Superman"?

Add another loss to Cam's record. This time to a 1-6 team.

Chris Prosinski with a TD saving tackle on Owen Daniels' long catch and run

oh and by the way: Curtis Painter has 79 rushing yards on 7 runs!

Carolina loses...nary a word will be spoken about Newton's two lost fumbles.

Rams defense played an outstanding game, great game by Jared Allen as well.

The Rams defense has abused Drew Brees all game. Big upset win for St. Louis.

Chris Long had 3 sacks in that game!

damn, Tebow's pass in the end zone just a little too long for Decker...

Kruger with a clutch sack! his second of the game, Jarrett Johnson also had 1.

He can learn their basic playbook. But he's not effective unless they augment it with non-traditional plays.
It also helps that they play against dysfuntional teams week after week.

Like Tebow?

Hate the media slobbering over Newton as much as the next guy. But he can play.

Correction: The Broncos pass coverage is the worst I've seen in a long time.
It's rare for a receiver to be in the endzone, 30 yards from any defender.

Just woke up from a six-month-long nap and heard all of the glowing praise and saw the glowing stat lines for the first 8 games for sCam Newton. I notice that the interception numbers are buried in any of the stories, and apparently he has never fumbled, so Carolina MUST be 8-0 and steamrolling all of their competition, right? No? Then it must be a CONSPIRACY against the great bug-light-smile hero, sCam! The defense must be ranked DEAD LAST in the league against the run AND pass, and give up 60 points a game in order to overcome the dynamic playmaking of our offensive (no double-entendre intended) hero! What? So they're a better "D" than Buffalo, New England, Atlanta, and Green Bay? Then sCam should be at least 6-2, right?

I think I'll go back to sleep. I'll wake up next year to hear similar hype about Robert Griffin III.

Newton is a loser. Carolina has spent several miserable years with high draft picks building up a stout offensive line. They have two of the best tight ends in the NFL. They have a very good run defense. And Newton still can't beat lousy teams. All he does is accumulate stats.

let's see if Brian Leonard gets some carries with Benson out. remarkable Bernard Scott drew the start, i don't expect him to do well... and yes, Bernard Scott, he of 2.8 ypc in 2011 (as opposed to Leonard's 7.1)

You guys nailed it. Cam has been ok but nothing special so far. I would say he is better than most of the other so called affletic qb's but he is not anything close to the mvp that they make him out to be. Last time I checked, Superman was not named Cam.

Kevin Walter had a nice game for Texas today. I'm really excited for the Steelers vs Pats. I hope New England can make a statement today. Hoping for huge games from Brady, Welker and Woodhead. I still wish they would use Edelman more. What a waste of so much talent. The kid is so explosive.

Kevin Faulk back in the lineup for the Patriots.....so I'm guessing that Woodhead gets 1-2 touches today......
