Another positive to last night's outcome was watching coach Ryan's fat mouth hang open in dispair as his team lost....again! :target:

I will never forgive him for cutting Danny Woodhead 2 years ago, after leading the RBs in yardage from pre season scrimmage so that he could keep supa affeletic Joe Mcnight around to make impact plays.LOL

On a down note, Brian Cushing may be out for the season with a torn ACL. Matt Slauson got him on a chop block from behind. I really wish those were illegal.

MRI coming today, pray for the best. Cushing is a huge asset to the team and his replacement by a black player would make the Texans much less white-looking.

A couple of things, The Jets didn't completely embarrass themselves on national tv. Also, they have a white TE named Konrad Reuland who must be wondering what's up? Even with the two blacks in front of him lousing up all the time, he never gets a shot. Same way with the White LB McIntyre. Sanchez didn't do much, but he'll be given the ball again next week I think. But if they lose to the Colts, I'd think Tebow will get his start.

"Liverlips could be referring to Gene Shalit."

That's him! Couldn't remember the name.

A few observations I wanted to share now that Week 5 is officially over:

1. It was very nice to see JJ Watt get some exposure tonight on the big stage. The announcers gave him props all night long, and I did not hear a single utterance of caste-speak. It's very rare to hear that about a White player who's not a QB. Normally, a "high-motor" or "deceptively quick" is thrown in there, but not tonight.

2. The pi$$ poor play of the black quarterbacks has somewhat lessened the disapppointment of the White RBs thus far. Michael Vick is on his last legs, sCam has taken a major step backwards, while Josh Freeman and Russell Wilson simply suck. RGIII is the only one who's played OK, but I believe it's just a matter of time before he starts to regress. Meanwhile, several others who were starters just a few years ago (Garrard, Campbell, Vince Young, T-Jackson) are either permanent back-ups now or entirely out of the league. It's a QB driven league and the White QBs are in charge. The PTB's best efforts are simply not paying off.

3. Finally, I've read on this forum a claim that black defenders don't play as hard against black QBs. If anyone has seen the hits Vick has taken over the years, the way sCam was manhandled by Seattle this weekend, or the hit that knocked RGIII out, it's safe to say that assessment is nonsense. They may root for one of their own to succeed no doubt, but when facing them, all bets are off.

Absolutely. It was a black LB who knocked out Griffin.

I tell ya, James Casey is just flat out fun to watch. For almost the entire first half when Houston had the ball my eyes were glued to him as a play developed. Time after time his blocks were crucial for Foster to reach the second level of the defense. He has a certain panache, too. Finally in the second half he showed what he could do as a receiver. Surely, James Casey is a cinch to make the Pro Bowl?

I would agree to a certain point, there is no doubt black males are extremely oriented towards dominance struggles between themselves. The black on black murder rate is a stark example of that. Doubtful that low IQ, emotion driven, high T, super competitive, football players are going to stop and mull over racial solidarity while preparing to level the ball carrier.

I do think however that they are motivated in the extreme to play extra hard against White players. For all the reasons that we have covered here.

Jaxvid summarizes it very well. Blacks do seem to get after black passers and their opponents in general, but a common sight also is a black defensive back making what amounts to a limp-wristed attempt to "tackle" a black receiver or running back way down the field, whereas when it's a White receiver or running back downfield (or anywhere on the field for that matter), getting him to the turf becomes an urgent matter of the highest priority.

I've always maintained that if you want to see football at its most competitive, match all-white teams against all-black teams. All of a sudden the black players with "questionable work ethics" will become "gritty overachievers" with "non-stop motors" when it comes to effort.

Nothing puts more fear into the fragile hearts of negroes than being bested by a white man.

Competitive for like 1 quarter, then blacks run out of energy.

Very true. Gruden and Turdrico were running wild in their praise of Watt, literally calling him a “monster,” discussing his fantastic athletic abilities (specifically when leaping to block passes), poking fun at the Jets’ black sumo lineman who were attempting to block him, among many other virile compliments…

CAPTION: Watt Tallies 8.5 Sacks through 5 Games

For the past five years or so, it seems as if an unstoppable white defensive end will always lead the NFL (or at least be in the top 5) in sack totals. Kyle Vanden Bosch (2005), Aaron Schobel (2006), Aaron Kampman (2006), Mike Vrabel (2007), Patrick Kerney (2007), Jared Allen (every season), Clay Matthews (2010), Chris Long (2011), and even “white-looking” mixed players such as Jason Babin (2011).

Given that there are so few white starters at DE league-wide, it’s quite remarkable just how many of the precious few permitted to play are so effortlessly superior to their criminally-overrepresented black counterparts. Of the players mentioned above, I think Watt may be the most talented of all.

Former Texans DE, Mario Williams (the highest paid defensive player in NFL history), has registered 11 tackles and a measley 1.5 sacks this season, all of which came in garbage time against the lowly Browns. During the Bills-Patriots game last week, Williams was every bit as invisible as Ndomakong Suh is each Sunday for the Lions (unless, of course, he's attempting to sucker punch someone after the whistle). Keep in mind that stopping Tom Brady was the primary reason Williams was signed. No wonder the Texans let him sign elsewhere.

It's ironic like you say the white defensive ends have such a high level of success. Even white linebackers are all over the field. They always have been Most whites in general have alot better cardiovascular conditioning than blacks. It's so obivious which is just one more reason why we should see many more white safties and especially corners in the nfl. Wake up scouts. Whites can be incredible football players if given the chance and Jason Sehorn is not some cyborg 1 in a million type athlete. There are whites far more athletic than even he was. Where is our affirmitive action?

Maybe we should call up Chuck Norris?

Loss of Cushing is huge...I mean this really sucks, he's probably out at least a year, I was ready to pencil in Texans for AFC championship game and now I'm not sure.

Really bad news about Cushing. Hopefully Bryan Braman will get a chance to replace him.

Braman's listed as Brooks Reed backup (with Nading as 3rd string), Texans don't have any white ILB unless they move someone there or sign a guy like Ruud.

EDIT: from what i read, Nading can play a bit of Cushing's position, so he may be Dobbins backup now.

I hope they sign Ruud. Tim Dobbins, who filled in for Cushing last night, is the definition of a scrub.

It has been mentioned, but is worth saying again, Watt is doing this in a 3-4 defense. That is not optimal for DEs to make plays. It's been a while since we have seen a 3-4 DE do anything like this.

Braman plays on the outside, and is a good 6'5", so I can't see him replacing Cushing inside. Injuries suck. It wouldn't seem so bad if there weren't so few white players.

I thought it worth a mention that the Denver - New England game not only featured two of the all time great QB's but another curious meeting. In the not so long ago past when even one White WR was an oddity I remember being cheered by the play of Brandon Stokley on the receiving end of many of Peyton's long passes. I think Stokley's play opened up a few eyes and not long after there was Wes Welker redefining the slot receiver position. I do not think it coincidence that Welker followed Stokley as they are both speedy, elusive, and short.

After Welker kicked that door open other White receivers found some playing time as the copy-cat NFL came to see the possibilities of having a sure handed fast player in the slot. Now every White wide receiver is compared to Welker no matter if they are short, tall or in between. But it's a compliment. And what we owe to Welker I think we can also thank Stokley for starting the whole thing. Is there anyone I missed in that evolution of the modern day White wide receiver from occasional "possession receiver" to slot position speed burner and high reception short yardage option?
