Shameless flatterer Jon Gruden just referred to David Harris as the Jets' "All Pro linebacker," something Harris has never been selected to be in his career.

I looked it up out of curiosity and he was selected in 2009.

He was named to AP's second team in '09, that's all I could find. Does that qualify him as an "All Pro"? I thought it was the players named to the Pro Bowl by the league.

Nah, then they'd call him a Pro Bowl Linebacker.

Whether Harris qualifies as an All Pro or not, Gruden is still a shameless flatterer

The NFL isn't going to change noticeably until major college football becomes more fair, and that isn't happening. The SEC, the NFL's main farm system, is blacker than ever, and each year it seems like there are more black college quarterbacks than the year before.

There's a few White running backs finally getting a chance in college, and lots of great White receivers, but until the filtering process changes -- star White high school players getting few scholarships and opportunities at the big programs, and many of the ones who do being subsequently ignored by the NFL -- all we can do is note the slight incremental changes that occur in a positive direction.

The crux of the problem is at the college level, but there is great ignorance by the fans and often the White players themselves that allow it to continue. For now, the continued shrinking of the pool of black athletes (due to ever increasing dysfunctionality in the black "community") combined with White players doing noticeably better with their opportunities in recent years is the best trend going against the Caste System, but the system itself remains firmly in place for now.

That makes me think that a book aimed at white HS players could be a lot more useful than one about the caste system in general, since there has been discussion here recently about a CF book. "The White High School Player's Guide to Making it in College Football." Which schools to pick, how to avoid getting moved from skill positions, standing your ground, getting attention of scouts etc.

Being flattered by Gruden is often the kiss of death. Last week he was comparing Tony Romo to Clint Eastwood and John Wayne - ie the greatest, toughest gunslinger in the West. How'd that turn out? He thinks half the players on the field are NFL MVPs.

It's annoying to see Tim Tebow rotting away on the bench while someone far less talented (ie, every Black quarterback) gets not only playing time, but praise and hype.

Tebow is just hated because he's obviously not a misogynistic pile of garbage and his talent is threatening. Therefore it's crucial to the PTB to shuffle him to the backstage and paint him as an Opie or Ned Flanders.

If he wanted to, he could be the best runningback in the league. That really says something about him.

Anyway, in general about Whites, if they're beaten in fair competition, it seems in large part their reaction is to shake hands, study the film, and come back fit to kill next time.

Blacks, it seems their MO is to feign injury so they don't look like total bi7ches, whine that some sort of foul or penalty occurred, beat their wives or girlfriends out of frustration, smoke a bunch of crack, and blame the White race for the stupidity of the Black one.

Oh, BTW -- Sanchez sucks, and the Mexicans can have him.

He's like that late 80s film critic on NBC - a Jew with crazy hair and glasses - who said about almost every movie he reviewed, "this has Oscar written all over it," or "It'll be raining Oscars!"

i really enjoyed the Sports Science bit they did on Watt: 6.88 cone drill (0.02 faster than Clay, and he's 40 pounds heavier!), his hands are bigger than Gronk's and he has a great vertical to boot - they compared his jump to D Rose...! what an athlete Watt is!

I have to admit that I'm pleasantly suprised at all of the high praise they are giving to JJ Watt. He deserves it as he is the best defensive player in the league in my opinion. It's just really refreshing to see one of our guys getting some hype. This guy is a monster.

There is no doubt that Tebow should be the starter. His energy level and confindence just rubs off on other players. Football players at any level love to play with this guy. He just has that aura about him. Tim Tebow can also be a good qb if a team would believe in him and give him a few years to grow as a qb. The guy is only 25 and he has never had adequate time to grow into a the type of qb that he can be. Regardless, he is the best option they have. Sanchez just doesn't have what it takes to win week in and week out. In a fair world, it should be Tebow Time all the time!

Two completions from Sanchez and Gruden is slobbering over him as if he were Joe Montana.

So quick thought, would the NFL clear Griffin to play simply to keep the hype train alive? He's already had two concussions...

Tebow threw a perfect deep pass early in the game and it was of course dropped

Wow. Gruden just said that Texans C Chris Myers "has 'fast-twitch' muscles". Probably the first time he's ever uttered that phrase for a White player...and a Center at that.

EDIT: Orioles lead Yanks, 3-1, end of 6th inning, for those interested.

I don't understand the Jets play calling there in the red zone. Sanchez hearing it from the fans.

It's a shame that the Jets are using Tebow as some sort of a circus act.

On the other hand, the entire country is watching JJ Watt tonight, the best defensive player in the NFL.

A few observations I wanted to share now that Week 5 is officially over:

1. It was very nice to see JJ Watt get some exposure tonight on the big stage. The announcers gave him props all night long, and I did not hear a single utterance of caste-speak. It's very rare to hear that about a White player who's not a QB. Normally, a "high-motor" or "deceptively quick" is thrown in there, but not tonight.

2. The pi$$ poor play of the black quarterbacks has somewhat lessened the disapppointment of the White RBs thus far. Michael Vick is on his last legs, sCam has taken a major step backwards, while Josh Freeman and Russell Wilson simply suck. RGIII is the only one who's played OK, but I believe it's just a matter of time before he starts to regress. Meanwhile, several others who were starters just a few years ago (Garrard, Campbell, Vince Young, T-Jackson) are either permanent back-ups now or entirely out of the league. It's a QB driven league and the White QBs are in charge. The PTB's best efforts are simply not paying off.

3. Finally, I've read on this forum a claim that black defenders don't play as hard against black QBs. If anyone has seen the hits Vick has taken over the years, the way sCam was manhandled by Seattle this weekend, or the hit that knocked RGIII out, it's safe to say that assessment is nonsense. They may root for one of their own to succeed no doubt, but when facing them, all bets are off.
