Mariucci added the classic line "He's faster than a lot of people think". Jeez, really? I wonder why he's faster than "most people think"? Durr.

Also the announcers did bring up the fact that Nelson was a "walk on" in college, and wasn't recruited - really? Wonder why? Hmmm. How many other Nelsons are out there that aren't getting recruited and end up not even playing? Plenty I'll bet.

Here are the negatives for Jordy Nelson from Sports Illustrated prior to the the draft.

NEGATIVES: Lacks the second gear and not a receiver who stretches the defense.

Can't stretch defenses huh? Then how is he doing it week after week against these super affletic corners? Is he a magician. He's still considered a "possession receiver" by a majority of the DWF's despite betting corners on deep routes week after week. In recent memory these are the only white receivers that weren't considered "possession" receivers by the media and DWF's, Tim Dwight, Don Beebe, Kevin Curtis, and Bill Schroeder. Yep, a whopping four receivers in the past 20 years or so that I can think of.

Thanks Sports Historian...figured it was 84'... being a young kid back then probably took the 100 yard games for white running backs for granted!

Glad to see Hillis bounce-back strong! 99 yards rushing last week & 112 this week!! He simply needs to stay healthy; get key O-Lineman back healthy; and more talent surrounding him for the lowly Browns.

In Len Berman's ESPiN quick highlights not one mention of Gerhart...rushing for 109 in a quarter & half impressive! The dwf's tried to question Gerhart's recieving skills...eventhough he was a good CF in baseball...he is a complete back ready to be a feature back!

Congrats to Jordy "another former walk-on" Nelson with yet another preformance showing great speed and explosive burst; excellent leaping ability; making things look easy! Now the haters(dwf's) can get off the pipe with my Andre Johnson comparisons!

Gronkowski has brought some serious brutality and respect to the game in 2011 at 6'-6" 260 & running like a WR! One announcer compared him to "Drago" from the Rocky movie.

Welker is running away with the reception title with 116 heading into final week! 111+ receptions 4 of the last 5 years!! Not bad for an undrafted 5'-9" melanin defeicient athlete!

Nice to see Jason Babin getting more props; has taken it to another level proving not be a
1st Round bust!

So true Don...Jake Locker is the future standard blue-print at QB! He's been refered back in college to a faster/sleeker version of Tebow/Tebow-lite...when Locker replaced the injured Hasslebeck vs Saints a few weeks ago you could see the difference!

Nice list of WR's WA33...Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Too many looks at Sanzenbacher would bring out the caste system in the Bears' locker room pretty damn fast I'll bet. One of these days an insider will spill his guts about the caste system on a team, I pray for that day. Just off the top of my head I would like to hear Danny's story about his time with Jets where they kept an average black RB over the guy who used to torch the first team D. We have heard about the caste system second hand about John Kuhn's time with the steelers, but one of these days someone is gonna give us the inside scoop. Heck even an unpaid intern's testimony would be great if he knew what he was looking for.

Earl Bennett isn't very good, but Jay Cutler loves to throw to him and Sanzenbacher's role will diminish again when Cutler is healthy, unless the Bears unexpectedly do the right thing and release or trade Bennett and make Sanzenbacher their "Welker/Amendola" type in the slot. Bennett and Cutler both went to Vanderbilt is the media refrain given to justify their "chemistry," though Bennett was a freshman when Cutler was a senior.

BTW, did anyone see Bennett's lone catch last night? He lumbered 49 yards at the pace of a sumo lineman, yet none of the Packers' equally slow d-backs could bring him down until the 1 yard line.

From what I've read the Browns are down on Hardesty. Chris Obongowhateverhisname is even ahead of him on the depth chart. That favors well for Hillis, but the Browns could always draft a running back like Trent Richardson and that spells doom for Peyton. The best case scenario is the Browns keep Hillis and draft a couple of good offensive linemen and a quality receiver. That would help Hillis out a lot.

Jordy is averaging 18.7 yds/catch.
That's the highest avg. among the top 40 receivers in the NFL.

" 'nuff said" as some "peeps" say.

no surprise here for us! i love how he's going straight against the caste system in the way that Danny Woodhead could if he was ever allowed to be a MJD for Pats.

Looks like there won't be a single black QB in the playoffs this season. Pigboy Rex Ryan's team is highly unlikely to make it, Raheem's Dreem Teem has turned into a nightmare for Caste System lovers, the collapse of the Eagles' Dream Team, lots of White players on both sides of the ball excelling (again). All in all there's been a lot of things to cheer for this season. Now if we can get the Packers against the Texans or Patriots in the Super Bowl. . .

Brees tore thru the Falcons coal black defense like a hot knife thru warm butter. Add to that, the blackFalcons' afroletic WRs fumbling the ball (YOnes) and dropping passes all over (not-White)...poor Matt Ryan. The sorry Falcons will get their @$$es handed to them (again) & be 1-and-done in the playoffs. :icon_rolleyes: As for the Saints, I hope the Pack knocks them off...as they've too many affletes as well.

so the zulu priest breaks the record. I don't think he can be compared to Marino. The league was much different back then, way harder to throw the ball.

I think Drew Brees is a class act all the way. I don't like his chants, but this is today's NFL, he's adapted and he's likely a political liberal anyway from what I've read of his background. I cheer for him as an athlete, I don't care what his politics are. He seems like a very well-grounded guy to me who hasn't had the easiest personal life (e.g. estranged from his mother).

If the graphic shown during the Monday night game is accurate, the average amount of passing yards per team in 1984, when Marino set the record, was 228, as compared to 243 this season, not as big a difference as I thought. Yes the passing game is easier now than it's ever been but the bottom line to me is that we remain in a Golden Age of Quarterbacks in the NFL who have excelled at today's passing game. If Brees hadn't broken the record first, then Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers, or Eli Manning, or Peyton Manning, or Matthew Stafford or Philip Rivers would have sooner or later. Then we have Roethlisberger and Romo and Ryan and Flacco and Schaub and Dalton and Locker and Ponder and Palmer and Cutler and Bradford and Tebow and Cassel and Smith. McCoy, Gabbert and Skelton or Kolb may yet develop into stars. Next season we'll have Luck and a couple of other young talents to root for at QB. Has there ever been a time with so many good to all-time great Whites at the position?

I don't why Brees has to be degraded by being called a "zulu preist". He is a great WHITE quarterback. Its not like he is the only player in the league that has to resort to tactics to get along with blacks on the team. This is similar to when Carson Palmer was singled out on the forum. Drew Brees doesn't have the luxury of having a mostly White line like Rodgers, Brady, or Manning when he was healthy (not taking anything away fromt those players, still elite and both have performed well with linemen going down). He also doesn't have the luxury of having a reliable White receiving threat. He has to constantly motivate those fat ass sumos (mainly the guards) of actually playing. I don't know if you noticed but those two fat guards constatnly underachieve and when they do, it makes life much harder on Brees. So what if he does some stupid chant? It helps motivate his teammates. Rodgers and Brady don't have to do stupid motivation chants, because their teammates are ready to play every game. Over the past several years it has been hit or miss with the Saints. Yeah it was harder to throw when Marino broke it, but it doesn't take away from his accomplishment. He has no top receiving threats on his team. Colston is the top receiver but has an average skillset, as well as the rest of the receiving corps. Jimmy Graham is having a monster season, in his 3rd season of playing football, EVER. These guys look good because of Brees. Without him Jimmy Graham is just another guy that failed to switch from basketball to football (Notice how Gates emerged with Brees as well). Colston would struggle to put up 700 to 800 yards per year. Lance Moore would probably be boucning around the league. Sproles wouldn't be having the season he is having, although he would still be decent like in San Diego. Like I mentioned before, the owner seems to want the team blacker. Like someone mentioned, if it were up to the owner they would probably have a black qb right now. I don't know how much input Payton or Brees has, but I imagine it was Payton who wanted a White qb for his system and being a former qb and qb coach, the owner probably let him have more of a say in that situation , even though he wanted Culpepper. Payton would rather have a White qb coming off of shoulder surgery than Culpepper. When they got Brees he was still in the rehab process, even in training camp his passes were hitting the dirt. I really don't think he passed the physical which is why Miami played it safe. Before Sean Payton they had Aaron Brooks who had guys like Marc Bulger and Jake Delhomme behind him, and before that it was Jeff Blake. Yeah it would have been nice to stick his neck out for someone like Mike Hass, but would Rodgers have stuck his neck out for Nelson his first year there?

Great qb surrounded by mediocre players and breaking the record was a great accomplishment. It will be even better when Rodgers and Brady go over it as well, and the fact that all 3 will be in the playoffs this year unlike someone like Cam Newton who wants to become "the greatest qb ever"....we'll see next year on how he progresses. Without him the Saints would probably have some black qb running around because of bad blocking and playing backyard football, basically a repeat of the Aaron Brooks era and would still be losers. It would be nice if Brees landed on a Whiter team but I think Sean Payton has helped him elevate his play. He has been doubted for most of his career and constatnly proving the "experts" wrong. He is finally getting some respect

I go back to 1958 in following pro football and I think there are more good to all-time great QBs now than ever. The rules make passing easier but in looking at films of QBs of the past, the technique of playing QB has advanced, along with passing game strategy.

Funny thing, the method of running with the football has not changed.

I have mentioned previously than men like Drew Brees are happy in a system that has worked out very well for them.

Jordy Nelson has been the most dynamic wide receiver in the NFL this season. The son of a dairy farmer from rural Kansas seems to shine most intensely while on the grandest of stages. His 6-catch, 115-yard, 2-TD performance against the Bears on Christmas Day faultlessly exemplified his body of work this season. That is, despite playing a racially-appropriate role of a “part time receiver” on his own squad, Jordy has delivered a staggering 59 catches, 1,101 yards and 12 TDs, averaging an utterly-electrifying 19 yards per reception. One can only dream of what this tall, strong, athletic, big-bodied, speedy receiving-maven could accomplish if he were to ever be truly “unleashed.” Prediction…Charlie would voraciously devour the entire Chocolate Factory.

On this scintillating 55-yard TD grab, Nelson blazed past Bears’ safety, Major Wright, as if the Cocoa-Boy were treading water. Naturally, the glass lense of the Great Eye made certain to peer at the other safety, Craig Steltz, who was merely trying to correct Wright’s mistake…

Nelson added a 2-yard TD later in the contest, outmuscling black scrub, Zach Bowman…

CAPTION: DWF Delight

Near the end of the broadcast, Nelson was shown with his lovely wife, Emily, and their young son, Royal, wishing the audience a “Merry Christmas.” It was an unabashedly-sweet moment (depicting a young white man managing a great family life whilst dominating on the football field) in a nation otherwise devoid of such wholesomeness and virtue…

Wes Welker abused his old team once again, amassing 12 catches for 138 yards. His league-leading total through 15 games is now 116 catches for 1,518 and 9 TDs. He’s been everything for New England this season, and then some…

CAPTION: Eighty-Three Expends Energy of Ethiopians

The defensively-flawed Patriots were sleep-walking for three quarters and certainly didn’t deserve to win this game, but I’m glad they did. Since they’ve been so dreadful in the playoffs (while playing at home, no less) since 2009, I’m worried about their chances, even with a 1[SUP]st[/SUP] round bye and home field advantage. Also, due to injuries, the Patriots closed the game with 3 black offensive lineman (Cannon, Waters, and Thomas). This from a squad that hasn’t had a non-white OL to crack the 53-man roster for several seasons at a time…let alone the starting lineup. Hopefully Matt Light (ankle) and Logan Mankins (knee) will return next week, sending Thomas and Cannon to the bench.

Toby Gerhart had his best professional outing against the Redskins, germinated by a gruesome knee injury to the undeniably-great Adrian Peterson. As other alluded to; Peterson’s days of dominance may be over. It doesn’t please me for Gerhart to receive his starting position due to injury, but if this will afford Toby the chance to become a superstar running NFL back, then so be it. I remember watching the video (on NFL.com) of Wes Welker blowing out his knee in a meaningless game in 2009 against the Texans. The comment section for the video featured merciless, racial taunting by DWFs. I can recall some of their brain-dead reactions…“Whiteboy Down!” “LOL!” “Hahaha!” “LMFAO!” I wonder if they’ll mock Peterson in a similar manner?

CAPTION: The Tears of Gerhart’s Opportunity

While “filling in” for Peterson over the span of 4 games (whilst losing countless carries to Percy Harvin), Gerhart has amassed 94 carries for 464 rushing yards and 1 TD, and 22 catches for 187 yards and 3 TDs…

CAPTION: 67-Yard Burst-O-Speed

Speaking of white running backs, Peyton Hillis seems to have finally returned to his former self, following up his 99-yard performance last week against Arizona with a 112-yard day against the Ravens stout defense. Hillis is proving that when he isn’t injured, he can every bit of the dominant back that won him the cover of “Madden 12.” With any luck, he can close out the season with another great game against the Steelers…

peyton-hillis-2jpg-98c18ffcf3ea4fa9.jpg

CAPTION: Peyton Passes Pollard

Despite the Texans’ struggles, it was a nice week overall. 2011 has arguably been the best year for our cause. This year featured the first time that two white receivers on the same team each achieved a 1,000-yard season (Welker and Gronkowski) since the 1960’s, the first time that a white receiver has lead the NFL in receiving (Welker) since the 1980’s, the first time that two white running backs had a 100-yard rushing game in the same week (Hillis and Gerhart) since the 1980's, a white TE (Gronkowski) broke the touchdown single-season TD record held by two non-white TEs (Gates and Davis), the emergence of the first legitimate “deep threat” wide receiver (Nelson) since Patrick Jeffers, white players continuing to shine to defense, etc.

Great summation of the week as usual, Thrashen! Indeed, '11 has been a banner year in updating a lot of "White stats." I don't know about anyone else, but that gives me a lot of hope!:party::cheer2:

haha, great summary, as always Thrashen. i was surprised when rotoworld actually blamed the correct player (Private Wright) as being burned by Jordy, and not Steltz (or even Conte, who wasn't even playing, hehe).

EDIT: do i also get to rub it in: what was riddlewire's prediction on Hillis' remainder of the season? blocking for Hardesty, wasn't it? HAHA!

I got a little paranoid about Hillis as well. Several members on this site were mentioning that he was a lead blocker on a lot of plays. I never saw any of that but thankfully it wasn't true.

That was just Riddlewire being Riddlewire, a.k.a anti-Electric Slide!

Hillis is clearly returning to form. He got all the carries early in the year, had to do some sharing with Hardesty around mid-season which was puzzling, and maybe the had to with his health. And now, the last 3 games, he's gotten the bulk of the touches again, with Hardesty and Ogo-whateverhisnameis completely phased out of the running game.

He never once played fullback or had to block for another ball carrier, so I have no idea where that falsehood comes from. Let's stay optimistic and hope for good things this Sunday and in 2012. Despite all that's happened, I still think CLE is his best opportunity to be a featured back and have success as a primary ball carrier.

Well now....the Probowl rosters have been announced and....you guessed it...the incomparable Greg Jennings made the roster instead of Jordy Nelson....can it be anymore blatant than that? Welker, Gronk, Clay Matthews made it along with an all white ensemble at QB.....

I don't know where people get the blocking part but early in the season he did line up several times at FB in the stupid little"Pony Package".He either went out into slot, ran pattern,or got handoff in those situations.I do remember several people saying that running out of FB stance with a bad hammy was a mistake that may have made things worse.

I thought Drew's mother committed suicide not to long ago?

Looking at Wikipedia it states that Drew was named after the Cowboys WR Drew Pearson.

About his mother: Brees' mother, Mina Brees, died on August 7, 2009, aged 59. The death was ruled a suicide.[SUP][34][/SUP] Brees was briefly excused from training camp for a "family matter".[SUP][35][/SUP] In 2006, Brees had described their relationship as "nonexistent" ever since he refused to hire her as his agent when he entered the NFL.[SUP][36][/SUP][SUP][37][/SUP] After her death, Brees stated that this quote was three years old and that his relationship with his mother had been improving.
