This whole Alex Smith/Kaepernick thing is such a microcosm of the absurdity of the NFL and the media. Alex Smith was nearly perfect in his last full outing and was 6-2 as a starter. He has the third highest QB rating and the highest winning percentage over that last year and a half. In a league where Tim Tebow isn't allowed to replace Sanchez with the 4-7 Jets, how does Alex Smith get benched?

I knew the day after Kaepernick's last game the die had been cast. The media was in yet another over-hyped absolute frenzy about this new breed of QB who threw for an unbelievable whooping 253 yards! Put him in the hall of fame! And the week before he pulled off the miracle of a tie with the unbeatable St. Louis Rams! (thanks to two amendola tds called back). The voice on ESPN radio was telling me as I drove to work that he has NEVER seen such a quick release nor such poise shown by a rookie. Funny, that he somehow now has a fast release when out of college his big draft drawback was supposedly a slow/awkward release. How did he cure himself?

You know they just make this stuff all up. Quick release or slow release it doesn't matter. The DWFs buy the narrative no matter what the story. Tim Tebow has a slow release after all it was proven on MNF when they compared it to the Dirty Sanchez's release. Tebow's release was .01 seconds slower in the scientific study done by ex-concussion syndrome talking heads in monkey suits. You can't argue with science. Kaepernick is terrific in every way and will surely reinvent the quarterback position. The 49ers will improve on the dooldrums of the Alex Smith era and go virtually undefeated for the next several years - unless, of course, they meet RGIII in the championship games which is likely to happen this year as the RGIII led Redskins are not mathematically eliminated.

I saw something during the Texans game that nobody seems to have mentioned. J.J. Watt, the Texans best defensive player, was being chewed out on the sidelines for some reason or other. The same type of sideline chewing out was shown last year between Brady and a coach.

I never see a black stud player being chewed out. Ever.

This raises two questions. One, do stud black players get chewed out but the networks are not allowed to show it. Or are only white studs chewed out by white coaches who are chicken sh!t to get in the face of a black player.I don't see black coaches chewing out black players either.

And, do the networks drool when a white player, especially a stud, gets chewed out?

With Kaepernick now starting the 49ers, Jets, Panthers, Bucaneers, Redskins, Seahawks and Eagles all have black quarterbacks. All but Vick are under 30 and every year at least one new one is going to get drafted in the first round. This is the new trend in the NFL and its only going to get worse.

Leonardfan, great points. Don't forget Logan Thomas, Teddy Bridgewater, EJ Manuel, and Geno Smiff are coming out soon and all are expect to be early picks.

Manuel, Smiff and Thomas will all be busts. Logan Thomas regressed greatly this year and will only be touted by Jew Kiper and Todd McGay. Manuel cannot play against good defenses - same goes for Smith. Unfortunately we are going to be continue to hear about the next generation of QBs from here on out until someone tells it like it is. The DWFs will all want their very own Robert Gremlin the Turd.

This year we can only hope Glennon, Barkley, Tyler Wilson and Landry Jones hold off the impending negro hordes from overtaking the QB position through AA policies, media created hype and the increase in rules that make the position easier than ever to play.

Next year we can hopefully see a regression in Griffin like Newton has displayed this season. Russell Wilson is still a flash in the pan and won't last to long as a starter. Vick is on his way out IMO. Freeman is mediocre and this season is a fluke. Kapernick has one game under his belt yet is benefiting from the media created Griffin hype about the new generation of QBs.

I don't consider Sanchez a black quarterback. Tony Romo is half Mexican but is regarded as White. Sanchez is more White than anything but a little mestizo looking but the Caste System wants blacks. Six teams have black QBs, and Vick is on his way out, so five at best out of 32 teams. Far less than what the Caste masters would have hoped by now.

Don,

I agree completely but looking at college football - black quarterbacks are probably starting at 35-40% of schools. These means less opportunities for skilled white QBs. For example USC has 2-3 very highly rated white QB recruits on their depth chart - it angers me that these kids would be ok with sitting on the bench rather than going to another program that would allow them to play and develop into a high round draft pick. It seems that college coaches recruit either all white QBs or all black QBs.

Every year the media is going to hype and push at least one black quarterback into the first round. Also Peyton, Eli, Brady, Brees, Big Ben, Rivers are all on the wrong side of 30. A void is going to exist and must be filled.

Geno Smiff is still projected to be the first pick in the upcoming draft on most mock drafts. Anyway, he will most likely be a top five pick regardless. Probably a team like Jacksonville gets him and that means the end for Gabbert as Smiff will be the starter and given multiple years even if he fails miserably.

The 2013 NFL draft will probably have two black quarterbacks drafted, Smiff and EJ Manuel. 2014 probably Logan Thomas and Taj Boyd. Then comes the 2015 draft where they are hyping up Bridgewater as the second coming of Steve Young. Some of these guys will potentially get starting gigs.

I don't see Boyd or Logan Thomas becoming full time starters in the NFL. If Gabbert gets replaced by Smiff it will only show the double standard that exists. How can a guy like Josh Freeman get 4 years as a starting QB yet Gabbert is pushed out after two seasons.

Ask Vick, he's been around for 10 years.

Vick was his own special case - he had media hype and the DWFs support from the very beginning. He was the next generation of QB and the beginning of the black takeover of the position...that is what the media made him out to be anyways.

Freeman does not get much national exposure on the other hand. He plays for a small market team yet he was given year after year.

A decade ago, even Vanity Fair magazine was predicting QB would soon be a black position in the NFL.

No question that they're being used to an extreme extent in college, but very few have translated to the NFL so far. Remember 1999 when three were drafted in the first round. Almost every year there's one or more black QBs heralded as "sure things." The NFL may eventually change its rules to such an extent that black QBs can thrive, but I guess I look at it where if we keep spreading the word about our righteous cause it'll be the other way around -- Whites will start getting more of a fair chance and the demographics of college and pro football will slowly but surely begin to reflect fewer blacks and more Whites.

And Hillis immediately fumbles on his first carry. Seriously, this guy's done everything possible to make it easy to derail his career the past two seasons. . .

goddman, if Hillis wants to stay in NFL, he needs to hold on to the ball!

Yeah just horrible! Luckily the play was reversed. How does he go from setting the NFL on fire a few seasons ago to a guy who can't even hold onto the ball in his limited carries?

Don - again I agree. I am doing my part now - calling out the media and draftniks from the big sports networks and websites when I see them stereotype a white player. Also I will be contacting the NFL if 25-30% of white players get drafted and ask why every year the percentage of whites drafted is almost identical.

After the last election I figure I can speak freely and go on the offensive.

Looks like Hillis is trying to get run out of the NFL.Guess he really is as stupid as people around Fayetteville have been saying.

and now Hillis has been pulled for Draughn it looks like...nvm they just had him throw the ball.

The demise of Hillis has been very disconcerting. Hopefully Burkhead and Line can make up for it in the coming seasons.

Decker with a 29 yard reception. He needs to average 63 yards per game, including today, to get 1,000 yards on the season.

That interception Peyton Manning threw a while ago was terrible. Ive never seen that guy try to fit one into triple coverage like that.
