https://www.outkick.com/ravens-lamar-jackson-says-racial-bias-against-black-qbs-still-exists/

Slightly different info, but what got me is would a white coach or GM be stupid enough to ask a hyped up black QB to do WR drills, I would fire that moron for general stupidity. Show me a coach or a GM that needs to rebuild that can smoothly escape from being stuck with an over rated black hype job in the first round I would hire that guy in a heartbeat.

The idea that there was a widespread desire to move Lamar Jackson to WR is a liberal media creation. There may have been a couple of guys who thought he might hae to convert to WR but there was no major push for this.

The liberal MSM makes it sound as if the "racists" who run football were dead set against him playing quarterback and he heroically prevailed against all odds. What rubbish!

There continues to be too many posts on this thread that belong in the individual team forums or individual player threads. For example, we have both a Raiders general team thread and an individual Maxx Crosby thread.

Looks like Christian Kirk of the Cardinals is going to have silly money thrown at him, given that he's been a semi-bust thus far as a second round draft pick. He may make $15 million a year, while Marquez Valdes Scantling might get $10 million annually after four seasons of between 430 and 690 yards in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball. His poor hands, bad route running and general ineptitude is one of the reasons Rodgers lobbied for Jake Kumerow to start in his place.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero believes "it wouldn't be a shock" to see free agent Christian Kirk get $15 million or more per year. Interest in Kirk is heating up with Davante Adams and Chris Godwin tagged and Mike Williams re-signing with the Chargers. Kirk's free agent market stands to further benefit if Dallas trades Amari Cooper and extends Michael Gallup. Kirk set career highs while sharing targets with DeAndre Hopkins and A.J. Green in 2021 and is entering his prime at 25 years old. With Green, Zach Ertz, James Conner and Chase Edmonds all free agents and Kyler Murray needing an extension, it's unlikely the Cardinals have the cap room to re-sign Kirk.

It's insane how much money mediocre black players are getting.

I don't understand what these GMs are thinking. Are they banking on upside?

Black scrub season is almost upon us. Have to keep the league filled with mediocre black players.

The Browns franchised black TE David Njoku for 10.8 million. Last year he had 36 receptions for 475 yards.

That is criminally stupid. They could have let the upsider walk and they’d still be set with the proven Austin Hooper and talented youngster Harrison Bryant. Instead they will now likely cut Hooper. There is a reason the Browns only make the playoffs once a decade.

Rumor that the Browns might trade Mayfield and picks for Watson. I really do not want this to come to fruition as it kills any shot at Davis Mills developing as a starter.

Pretty ridiculous MVS is projected 10 mil a year. Somebody's about to get ripped off! 15mil a year for Kirk? No way.

I also agree signing Njoku for 10.8 for a year is laughable.. Looks like Brown's are going to go back to being dysfunctional.

Ain't that the truth. The Jags have just signed two magical nobodies (Foyesade Oluokun and Folorunso Fatukasi) to 3 year contracts worth a combined $75 million, with about 2/3 of each contract being guaranteed. Trent Baalke may as well have just taken that money and thrown it into a wood chipper.

Oluokun led the NFL in tackles last season so he's quite a bit more than a nobody.

Good point Don. I think we help our cause lost by acknowledging that some black players are very good, excellent even. But that white players, when given the opportunity, perform just as well and in many cases better than their black counterparts.

The caste system’s racial slotting is extremely prohibitive to opening the average person’s eyes. It gives “plausible deniability” to the DWF and the person who lacks ability to think critically. Bottom
Line: so few white men are given a fair shake - and when they are they often are superb.

Jaguars just signed Zay Jones to a 3 year 24 million dollar deal... the money these teams throw around on mediocre players is amazing.

You can get a receiver as good as him or better in the draft for much less money, I don’t get it.

Per SportsTalkATL, the Falcons have prepared an "elaborate presentation" in an attempt to convince Deshaun Watson to "come home". Several other franchises, I'm sure, have also produced a similar sales pitch in an effort to recruit Watson, who was evidently "impressed" by those of the Falcons and a few other teams.

The mental image of all these football executives groveling at the feet of any athlete, much more so a serial rapist like Watson, is beyond farcical, and unlike anything I've ever seen in any sport, possibly save for The Decision by LeBron James, except that in James' case one could at least make the argument that his talent warrants such fanfare.

It's as though I'm watching a season of The Bachelor play out in real time (a show, fittingly, whose primary consumers are the same group who are, no doubt, glued to their computers awaiting Watson's grand Decision).

The Browns are probably looking to trade Baker Mayfield. He has one year left on his contract at 18 million.

Probably the Browns could only get a low draft pick and would have to pick up a substantial part of his salary.

Carolina and Seattle would seem to be possible landing spots. Most likely Seattle because Carolina still has Darnold's salary on the books.

Yes indeed EP and that is a likely analysis. I don't like Mayfield's politics or his woke tendencies but I will go on record that I want the Browns to go to the cellar and stay there and set new records for losing perpetually for as long as Watson is at the helm. And heck, for years after that for their stupidity in going after Watson KNOWING he's a scumbucket. I also wish the Browns' idiotic DWF fanbase, especially the season ticket holders that go cheer for this overhyped mediocre QB and criminal (allegedly), to enter into depression after witnessing fail after fail of this average QB that is undeservedly given the $$ and the start at QB.

Yeah I'm like the black spectators in the opening scene of "Invictus" that go to the Springbok's games to cheer against them. I thought Mayfield had a brain when I saw that he did not participate in the NFL draft night follies but that hope was dashed. You don't need be any sort of racial bigot IMO but for cripes' sake White men, just be cordial, professional and respect the black dudes that deserve respect and keep your mouth shut about their absolutely moronic fellow blacks and then cash them checks.

And lastly "the media" does not love blacks, the psychopaths that reside in the media just use them to bully us psychologically, and of course it works. You think uber leftist living by Central Park Keith Olbermann wants anything to do with blacks besides open his door to his building? Yes I chose a leftist with observable mental health issues, but all of them have issues.

Detroit chosen over Green Bay as NFL Draft site in '24. NFL chose a more diverse city for you to be potentially robbed at gun point while attending The Draft.

The usual suspects in the (((media))) are already pumping out articles about "what this means for the future of Detroit" and other nonsense. Remember when Detroit hosted the Super Bowl and how it was supposedly going to "revitalize" and "reinvent" the city? How'd that work out for them?
