The few cities that have done well in minor leagues were cities that weren't on the NFL radar.

When Baltimore was in limbo the CFL club called the Stallions actually had a cult following in the city and the fans used to unofficially call them the Colts at home games. At city like San Antonio could be a crown jewel of an upstart league. What has killed these leagues is ownership that has zero inclination to gamble on their leagues when the inevitable red figures come in. It could take a good ten years before a CFL type league could get financially viable through a decent money cable television deal, it seems like the McMahon and the AAF didn't have the long term commitment to succeed.

With the league folding AAF players are allowed to sign with NFL teams. So far I have seen nothing for the notable white standouts Truthteller has been tracking here.

Checking the link Bucky provided, from time to time, it seems like NFL teams were only targeting white quarterbacks and offensive lineman the first 4 or 5 days they were allowed to sign AAF refugees. So everything was going according to the Caste script that we know all too well. Probably the only reason the NFL has signed no white AAF tight ends and fullbacks (also non-taboo spots) so far, is because there were so few to chose from. Actually, I think the NFL is much more "white friendly" towards white offensive lineman, fullbacks and tight ends then the odious spring league that just folded.

In the AAF, white offensive lineman seemed to be in the minority, as I believe every AAF club started at least 3 black (or Poly) offensive lineman most games? Memphis had a all sumo-line that struggled all season (according to their coaches), making the exploits of quarterback/wide receiver tandem Brandon Silvers to Reece Horn even more impressive.

However, there is some breaking news: The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed defensive lineman Winston Craig, who I really hyped up in the AAF thread the first three weeks, but faded a bit statistically in March. It appears the white, sumo-like Craig (think Beau Allen) is the first white at a Caste position to sign.

Here's a list of the white prospects at Caste positions I think most deserve to be signed. I'll break them down into three categories:

First Group: In a fair world, these prospects should have already been signed by NFL teams due to their AAF success and youth:

WR Reece Horn -- Signed by Miami Dolphins
DL Winston Craig -- Signed by Pittsburgh Steelers
DE Casey Sayles -- Signed by Pittsburgh Steelers
LB Austin Larkin
LB Greer Martini -- Signed by Minnesota Vikings

Second Group: A bit older and/or have failed in several attempts to make the NFL, but absolutely deserve another look after AAF:

DE Karter Schult -- Signed by Minnesota Vikings
DE Dylan Wynn
LB Dylan Donahue
LB Davis Tull
LB Trevor Reilly
LB A.J. Tarpley

Third Group: Younger prospects who have a tougher road to signing an NFL contract, considering they were not regular AAF starters:

P.S/Edit: Just announced the Minnesota Vikings have signed Karter Schult, who could've been the AAF's defensive MVP. He has a tough hill to climb, however, as DWF's and media consider him a DE/OLB tweener. Hope he proves them wrong.

Overall I am pleased Chris Hogan signed with somebody. It was getting spooky. I do not like the one year. But it beats no man's land.

Now Cam was horrific in the latter stages of last season. Will his "shoulder" issue be cleared up by this coming season?

For me at least I like that he landed in Carolina. With Luke Kuechly and CM this is a team I have been behind full force and adding Hogan to the mix only sweetens the deal.

In review Jordy retired. I give that an F grade since he has at least one but probably two good years left. Packers would have been a perfect ending but the NFL doesn't trade in feel good stuff. Especially when white skill athletes are involved. Heaven forbid they give the fans something they want. And Aaron Rodgers since he is the QB and the franchise and he is kind of like important. The Packers seem tone deaf these days.

Chris Hogan to the Panthers I like. But one year is not good any way you slice it. Give it a B which could have been higher if it was a multi year deal. Some QB concerns here though but Hogan isn't a volume receiver and I would like to think he will be used properly on airing it out patterns and such. Carolina's WR crew was awful last year so this is a solid upgrade for them. Like EP says above maybe the return of some nice deep stuff for Hogan.

Adam Humphries got the biggest deal (36 million for four years) but landed in a rough spot. Mariota is not a WR friendly QB. There is always the hope another QB emerges like back up Tannehill. So hoping for the best I give it a B. But at least he was pursued with vigor, unlike Hogan ( and Jordy). Out of all of the WRs here Humphries hasn't hit his peek yet which is exciting. And I am encouraged by Mike Vrabel's off season moves. If he can follow it up with a "diverse" draft he could start to ring in a less caste based era. I was a big Mike Vrabel fan when he played and he seems like a nice guy. I'm sure we will all be closely monitoring their draft.

Cole Beasley landed a nice 29 million 4 year deal with the Bills. Gets to work with an up and coming talented QB who had no help last season. This is the best move of the lot. Give it an A. Josh Allen to Cole Beasley. I like the sound of that.

While on the subject of WRs Adam Thielen and the Vikings have agreed to a four year 64-73 million dollar extension. The face of the franchise, Thielen is one of the best wide receivers in all of the NFL. I would argue he is the most graceful. A joy to watch play.

This will set the tone for the Vikings for the next several years and marks Adam as a true team leader. They are in good hands.

With a few tweaks here and there this team looks set to make a come back this season. I think Kirk Cousins is verging on becoming an elite QB.

They desperately need OL help though and the defense needs some shoring up. Their draft will be crucial in filling up some of those holes.

Taylor definitely picked the right team to sign with. He may earn the third receiver spot on the Vikings. He's yet another White receiver that must stay healthy though, as injuries derailed the limited opportunities he was getting in Denver.

I forgot to include Danny Amendola in my mini wrap on white WR free agent signings. Danny is seemingly at the tail end of his career but hopefully he can make something out of his one year contract with the Lions. Not a caste friendly team for years.

Jordan Taylor is a tall talented WR who has yet to get a full airing. I would think the Vikings could use him as a 3,4 or 5 WR. He does return punts. I don't want to see Thielen returning punts I'll tell you that.

I agree with Don. It is tough enough for white WRs
to make a mark in the NFL but with the injuries ( Quinn, Taylor, Cantrell etc.) it just blows up the whole formula.

Maybe I'm seeing things but at times white receivers try too hard at times trying to impress ( a catch 22 I know) which leads to unnecessary injuries. Black WRs generally just go with the flow not trying to kill themselves since they have a greater safety net. White WRs who have a shot have to stay injury free. Very important.

Lombardi called OL Gregg the greatest player he ever coached. And that was correct which is saying something when you think of all those great Packers.

Tyreek Hill, Kareem Hunt and now Frank Clark - all with dometic violences charges against them. Along with a player who might croak on the field ( Montez Sweat) most teams bend over backwards to accommodate black players who have terrible behavior or other alarming issues. The Patriots just gave troubled WR Josh Gordon an extension. What the hell for?

But these violent thug types? To me it is simple. If I was a GM these players would automatically be taken off the draft list. And I wouldn't trade for anyone with a shady past.

The fact that the charges against Hill were dropped the other day is outrageous, reeking of the same kind of blatant racial favoritism and corruption from the Chicago establishment that protected Smollett after his hoax was exposed.

CBS Kansas City has obtained audio allegedly recorded by Tyreek Hill's fiancee that appears to incriminate him in the couple's child abuse case.
Hill's fiancee, Crystal Espinal, apparently made the recording and gave it to a friend as an "insurance policy." The T.V. station has since obtained it. In the recording, Espinal alleges that Hill both punched and whipped their son. "He is terrified of you," Espinal says to Hill. "You need to be terrified of me, too, (expletive)," Hill apparently replied. If verified, it is damning enough to seal Hill's fate in Kansas City, which should have already been in grave danger. The situation figures to come to a head in the next 48 hours. This could be the end of Hill's NFL career.

If they are consistent they need release him or at the very least suspend him indefinitely while this is being thoroughly investigated. Nothing brings tears to my eyes quicker than sad child abuse stories where predators like Hill murder children while the police and children's services fiddle while Rome burns because of the fear of being sued by the suspect if they can't prove a case of child abuse.

PS, on the tape he also calls the woman a bi#%, which probably means he did the daily double of domestic violence and physically attacked this woman. I have a shade less sympathy for her as she can flee the household that she lives in, the boy probably doesn't even know how to dial 911 yet.

He visited the Titans last week. This reunites Urban with Dean Pees, who served as his defensive coordinator for four years in Baltimore. Urban logged 33 tackles and 3.5 sacks over 462 snaps last season while earning PFF's 25th-best run-stopping grade out of 112 qualifiers at defensive tackle.

It appears that the Titans under Vrabel are trending in the right direction. Humphries and Urban are good additions. Hopefully they can nab a few pale faces in the draft too.

On the other hand the Ravens are looking to be entering the Texan / Seahawk / Raider territory of coal black squads. Weddle, Urban and Flacco are gone. What is there to cheer for here? A few underutilized tight ends?
