I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this thought but I know this thread gets a lot of traffic.

The Steelers are regarded as having the best offensive skill guys in the NFL. The local radio station here just gushed over them and how talented they are. And then downplayed the Patriots skill guys and said they were just average. Some of the guys on the radio were surprised when they would go back and look at the combine for the Steelers. The way they talk about them you would think they all ran 4.2's and had 40"verts and then they were utterly shocked when they found out they didn't. I decided to look at the combines for Antonio Brown, Leveon Bell, Juju Smith-Schuster and Martavis Bryant, the four main Steelers skill guys.

Antonio Brown- 5'10" 186 lbs, 4.56 40, 33.5" vert, 105" broad, 6.98 3 cone, 4.12 short shuttle, 13 reps of 225

Leveon Bell- 6'1" 230lbs, 4.60 40, 31.5" vert, 118" broad, 6.75 3 cone, 4.24 short shuttle, 24 reps of 225

Juju Smith Schuster- 6'1" 215, 4.54 40, 32.5" vert, 120" broad, N/A 3 cone and short shuttle, 15 reps of 225

Martavis Bryant- 6'4" 211, 4.42 40, 39" vert, 124" broad, 7.18 3 cone, 4.15 short shuttle, 16 reps of 225

These four guys are good football players. Bell and Brown are considered maybe the best in the NFL at their positions, but neither one of them are superior athletes as the DWF's would want you to believe. There are many white guys who are the same or better athletically than they are. If given the chance those white guys would succeed as well. The only one out of these four who displayed good athleticism was Bryant who they repeatedly called a "freak" on the radio. But I know those same guys would never call Jeff Janis a freak who put up similar numbers.

Jeff Janis- 6'3" 219lbs, 4.42 40, 37.5" vert, 123" broad, 6.64 3 cone, 3.98 short shuttle, 20 reps of 225

My point is the Steelers are regarded as the best offensive skill guys in the NFL but aren't superior athletes. It doesn't take blazing 40 speed to be really good players. Which doesn't support the DWF myth that white guys can't play.

Good work there dophins15. Makes me think maybe some of these player's success comes from guile, bringing their lunch pail, and being reliable, not being super superior athletes.

Although Woodhead was cut by the Jets in 2009 and 2010, Rex Ryan was the only coach to have any interest in Danny when he went undrafted in 2008 despite record-setting stats at Chadron State and his 4.3 forty-yard dash times. Ryan also permitted Woodhead to hang around after he landed on IR for an entire year after getting injured during his rookie training camp. Ryan also allowed Woodhead to showcase his skills during the pre-season. Ryan then did Danny the biggest favor...cutting him in 2010, thus allowing NE to sign him, play him, and make him a star scat back.

Woodhead’s best season, the 2015 campaign with SD, saw him net 1,091 total yards, score 9 TDs, his 755 receiving yard were the most by any RB that season, and he was the #2 ranked PPR fantasy football RB.

He was an amazing player and he will be sorely missed. Due to his accomplishments over the past 10 years, guys like McCaffrey, Zenner, and Burkhead are being given a fair chance in the league. One could argue that Woodhead was even more important than Peyton Hillis. Hopefully, McCaffrey will eclipse them both next season.
You make great points as usual. I guess Fat Rex deserves a little love.

Looks like another year of racial apprenticeship for Matakevich in Pittsburgh. They signed Jon Bostic to 2yr deal.

I'm not too concerned about that signing. Bostic is injury prone and has been with four NFL teams in five seasons, which reads more like the resume of a typical White WR. Pitt is expected to take an ILB early, hopefully it'll be Vander Esch and Matakevich will still have an opportunity at substantial playing time. Then again, I'm probably being wildly over-optimistic.

Anyone have Eagles Howie Roseman's ear? He should sign Jeff Janis and or Decker. Wentz would do wonders with them. He's the guy who drafted Riley Cooper....

I know what you mean about being wildly over-optimistic. For some reason I feel this sense of optimism that the Bills will end up with either Darnold, Allen or Mayfield but deep down I am afraid they will take the woefully overmatched black quarterback. I haven't been this interested in a player going to a team since back when I wanted Roethlisberger to go to the Steelers. I really want Darnold to end up with the Bills but would be happy to see Allen or Mayfield end up in Buffalo as well. I think Rosen is the most NFL ready QB - he can start from day one (I hate the kid's politics but from a QB perspective he is the prototype QB - Not exactly Peyton Manning as a prospect but in the same ball park) and he ends up on the Jets. I really hope the Giants either trade down or decide to not select a QB as the media pushed narrative is that Eli is done and they need a new QB - no one mentions Davis Webb who by all accounts performed well in practices only to be benched all season due to an inept coach and racist GM who wanted Geno Smiff to start a game because no black QB every started for the Giants.

That would be awesome if Jordy and Decker were both on the Raiders. At the very least, even if Oakland remains otherwise overwhelmingly black (and I don't think it will), it would be reminiscent of the Broncos the season they had Peyton Manning, Decker, Wes Welker, and almost no one else to root for.

Don,

What do you make of what is happening in Oakland? I wonder if Gruden has been given pretty much total power in personnel decisions with McKenzie being kept on as a figure head. They have 11 picks in the upcoming draft:

1st round - 10th pick
2nd round - 41st pick
3rd round - 75th pick
4th round - 100th pick
5th round - 159th pick
6th round - 185, 192, 212, 216, 217 picks
7th round - 228th pick

5 picks in the 6th round - where it is almost acceptable to draft white players to build up depth in the roster. Hopefully Gruden has much more control of the draft. I wouldn't be surprised to see McKenzie drafted his overrated unproductive son.

If I had to guess, I expect Gruden and the new regime to move slowly but steadily away from the previous extreme of being the blackest team in the league, ever. If they sign Decker that'll be huge and a solid sign that Gruden indeed won't be nearly as rigidly Caste as he used to be. He waived a string of very talented young White receivers when he was coaching in Tampa, and also greatly decreased Mike Alstott's usage (that was partly injury related but still premature).

We'll know more by the way they draft. Their all-sumo line is still heralded as great, but in reality wasn't very good at all last year, and of course they and the rest of the team threw a game against Washington because Derek Carr wasn't "down with them" on the national anthem. What happened to the Raiders last year was exactly what we predicted -- a coal black team that is winning never keeps its momentum for long and begins to experience dissension and petty jealousies. Hopefully Gruden is sufficiently astute -- and "courageous" enough -- to give them the overhaul they need.

Yes that sumo line was being heralded as some top notch unit last year - what a joke. The defense was a joke too. Gruden's scathing analysis of players during his time as a MNF analyst hopefully gave him a better perspective on what it takes to be a football player.

Oddly enough I am eagerly anticipating what the Raiders and Bills end up doing in this draft. My biggest personal defeat will be if the Bills draft Lamar Jackson. I personally hope Jackson ends up in Arizona playing 4th fiddle behind Goff, Jimmy G and the Dung Beetle on a declining Seahawks team.

I'm hoping, but not expecting, that Lamar Jackson is the one sitting and sitting at the draft this year while the cameras fixate on him every time his name isn't called, as usually happens with a White QB going back to Aaron Rodgers in '05. While someone like Deshaun Watson gets instant media adoration, most black QBs turn out to be flops, or flops after initial success, with Dak Prescott perhaps being the next example if he continues his decline in play again this year. Jackson has so many question marks that an organization would be foolish to take him early, but this is the Caste NFL and someone likely will.

Yea the media is really treating him with kid gloves and hyping him up (like they do with all black qbs). As the whole SJW angle has been ramped up in recent years their is more and of labeling someone racist if they criticize a black QB. I posted some scouting report that referred to him as a "blank canvas" which was a way to sugarcoat the fact his mechanics are so bad and he is all arm when he throws (dat wrist flick). His career completion percentage is 56.9% and he played in Petrino's passer friendly offense and I hear no criticism about it. Josh Allen's career completion percentage was 56.2% and they knock him about that constantly. Jackson also looked pretty bad throwing the ball at the combine and escaped any major critiques because of that. At least Allen went in there and showed off his arm, worked out and proved he has all of the physical skills.

Pretty much any team that drafts a black quarterback like Jackson has to treat it like the running back position. black quarterbacks have the shelf life of cottage cheese. They may have some initial early success but they tend to get figured out and flame out of the league within a few years. This is the elephant in the room no one wants to look at. I commented on the Youtube video of Lamar Jackson's poor performance at the combine and pretty much any commenter who's critical of Jackson is automatically labeled a racist. It's getting to the point where you can't even be critical of blacks in an unimportant and benign endeavor such as football without being labeled a racist. This is SJW insanity run amok.

Don probably right about Bostoc. I remember when Chicago drafted him early and Bears DWFs thought they had the next Lance Briggs. Underwhelming 2nd rounder to say the least.

If Gruden signs Decker, Raiders instantly become watchable. Draft a couple of pale faces at OL and now we’re talking.

I wouldn't be surprised to see McKenzie shutout of the decision making process. He may just negotiate contracts at this point and give input but if Gruden and ownership don't agree the idea will fall on deaf ears.

In the past he won power struggles and purged a few coaches but Gruden is being paid to0 well to be subservient to McKenzie.

Gruden was brought in to save Carr from his team mates and cucked coaching staff. IMO Carr is a rarity a legitimate franchise QB not even Davis wants to blow that opportunity

I'm kind of wondering if this is happening in Miami as well. There has been a purge of sumos on the offensive line (Miami's offensive line was previously all sumo, but is now 3/5 white) and there has been talk that they are looking at drafting one of these white TE's as well (notice they didn't sign any affletes at that position this offseason) It's also believed that they're high on AJ Derby too. Many of the rumors here in Miami is that there is a power struggle between Gase and Tannenbaum/Grier. Fan speculation suggests that it may be Gase that's responsible for whitening up the roster a little bit. He's been given the usual criticism from the DWF's for doing so even though caste stooge Tannenbaum and his racist black GM Grier are not popular among the fan base. Miami as well as Oakland are definitely going to be teams to watch during this upcoming draft.

I remember two seasons ago when Gase turned the team around by getting rid of some sumos and throwing some white OL in their. Gase must be in a tough spot especially with Tannenbaum in the middle of it all. His track record speaks for itself. I agree the Dolphins will also be an interest team to watch. Gase seems like a no-nonsense coach and could probably get the right types of players in there if he were given more power in the personnel decision process. I still think Tannehill is a very good QB. They have 9 draft picks this year I believe. It would be nice to see 5 of those at least to be used on white athletes.

I think this was lost in the shuffle but Joe Thomas retired yesterday. He is probably the best O-lineman of the last ten years and should be a lock for the first ballot in Canton(and is an obvious lock to make it).

It would be sad if the Browns had a quick turnaround from dreadful to a fringe contender in the next two seasons with Thomas retired. He should have had an Eric Wood moment of seeing a playoff game before he retired.

Zay Jones was a huge bust as a rookie last season after being the 37th player selected. Apparently the Bills took him because he's a "quality character" guy:

Zay Jones was arrested Monday night in Los Angeles and charged with felony vandalism. In a video obtained by TMZ Sports, Jones is seen completely nude and involved in a struggle with his brother, Vikings WR Cayleb Jones. Zay was yelling, "I'm going to fight for Jesus," and was allegedly trying to jump off of a 30th floor balcony in an L.A. hotel, smashing his foot through a window. The window and area around it was covered in blood from Zay's leg/foot. He's currently being held at USC medical center, and it's unclear what exactly is his issue.

DWF Alert! I think he's been sucking down a few too many of those Coronas.
