Surprisingly, Weenieworld actually suggests Burkhead could be given early down carries, and calls him "a fascinating fantasy case" for 2017:

Patriots signed RB Rex Burkhead, formerly of the Bengals.

It's a surprising signing in that Burkhead seems a redundant talent to James White and Dion Lewis, but advanced metrics love the former Bengal, and suggest he's an underrated runner. Burkhead is a mismatch as a pass catcher, and aggressive and elusive as a runner. He's also a special teams standout. It's possible the Pats give Burkhead an opportunity on early downs. He rushed 27 times for 119 yards in a Week 17 spot start for Cincinnati. He's a fascinating fantasy case for 2017.

Don't want to get too excited at this point given how the NFL has a way of smashing hopes, but 2017 may well see Burkhead, McCaffrey, Woodhead and Zenner all getting significant carries. And possibly Juszyzck may get to carry some in San Fran.

We can dream can't we Don. I sure hope your right. It makes sense that all of this guys should contribute in a big way if they just play them. No one can talk about qb discrimnation anymore. So let's see our guys that are good get a chance to show what they can do. Exciting times indeed.

Wow Burkhead to the Pats. A little disappointed some other RB needy team did not sign him but it just goes to show how ingrained all the other cuck coaches and GMs are in the NFL. At least now McCaffrey will probably end up being drafted elsewhere. I am happy for Burkhead as he will have a legitimate chance in New England to make an impact. Next year we will hear Aunt Crissy and Uncle Al say things like Burkhead is just the type of player the Patriots like, how do the Patriots keep finding these guys - everything they say about Edelman, Hogan and Amendola - all the back handed compliments/cut downs.

Surprisingly, Weenieworld actually suggests Burkhead could be given early down carries, and calls him "a fascinating fantasy case" for 2017:

That is surprising, because I did a quick search of the current news articles on Burkhead's signing and, as if following instructions, they all say Rex was signed to fill Brandon Bolden's role. Bolden had one carry last year. As if that's the only potential Rex has, and the only potential New England sees in him. Weenieworld's one non-troll must be writing the blurbs this shift.

Another recurring media theme will be that Burkhead is too small or lacks the "skill set" to be an every down back. He's a bit on the small side when it comes to weight, but showed when he finally got his chance at the end of last season that he was far and away the Bengals' best running back. And he has the perfect "skill set" to play every down. I really hope Belichik lets him shine, so all the Caste troglodytes can scratch their heads yet again and wonder "how does New England keep doing it?" And hopefully it will cause enough consternation in Cincinnati, where the team's best back rotted on the bench for four long years, to cause the long overdue firing of Marvin X.

Patriots officially sign Rex Burkhead. Big chance for him with White and Lewis entering last years of their contract. Come on Rex and well done Belicheck just as you worry about the pats off season FA moves he comes through again with a middle finger to the caste system.
Wow!! Best news of the off-season so far. This reminds me of when the Pats signed Hogan last year. It was almost too good to be true.

I'm dreaming but how great would it be if Bill B and the Pats just go all the way and have a majority White draft and field a majority White team. Maybe last year's witch-hunt has pushed them to throw caution to the wind and give the NFL the biggest middle finger in league history.

Yes indeed!! Often wondered how Burkhead might do with the Patriots.... Almost surprised the diversified NFL OK'd the acquisition.

A Brandon Bolden role?? What baffoonery! Guess they conveinaintly overlooked his 119 yard game in Week #17 when finally getting the opportunity? At age 27 is past time to shine! + Whitworth & Zietler left

Coach Pellini had to defend Rex while at Nebraska...saying he's a "under-rated athlete bec he's white; he's only 5'-11" & can Slam Dunk a Basketball"

Will be nice to see Don's "New" Avatar in Patriot blue...

It's not how I imagined things would turn out because I wanted McCaffrey to the Patriots, but this is good enough. Burkhead will now have a legitimate opportunity with the Patriots and talented enough to be a 3 down back. If McCaffrey ended up with Rodgers or Brees, it will be an exciting upcoming nfl season.

This is what walter cuckpinsky said about the Eddie Lacy signing. His mentality is that of the prototypical DWF and just reading his asinine "analysis" is maddening. He's a jock sniffing heeb moron:

Seahawks sign RB Eddie Lacy (1 year, $5.5 million): B Grade
Eddie Lacy has been overweight the past two seasons, though he did average 5.1 yards per carry last year before going down with an injury. Still, Lacy promised to undergo a P90X training regimen this offseason, so perhaps that'll get him into shape. This 1-year "prove it" deal will certainly serve as a motivational tool.

This contract makes a lot of sense. In fact, I think it's perfect. The Seahawks are filling a need with a talented running back who will be extremely motivated. Lacy will be at his best in 2017. While he'll miss Green Bay's great offensive line, the Seahawks could make some blocking upgrades in the 2017 NFL Draft.

I'm grading this as an "A." I love logical "prove it" contracts like this.

Update: Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel has reported that Lacy weighed in at 267 pounds at one of his free agent visits. That's about 30 pounds above his playing weight. So much for that P90X regimen. I'm dropping this to a "B." I still like the move because of the upside and zero risk, but this signing no longer seems like a slam dunk.

I don’t know about the Saints taking CM at # 11. They’ve said a pass rusher is a priority. They have addressed that a little in free agency. Who knows? If CM is there at the 32nd pick, I believe the Saints will pull the trigger. That would be nice with John Kuhn, Coby Fleener, and Josh Hill all on board. After an iffy start in his first game, Coby Fleener really pulled it together and was solid as can be for Brees. Looking forward to more targets with Cooks gone.

"Zero risk" I can name about 5.5 million risks...unless they're trying to make him an OLineman or fullback? Nah, that only happens to white backs.

That PX90 thing if that is their real belief I would fire the lot. You cannot outrun the fork, that is part of the health club scam, "Get fit for summer" pay your initiation fee and a month or two of dues and then show up once maybe twice, repeat. My health club pulls that, it has a high initiation fee ( I approve it keeps out the Basketball Joneses), the other day the membership director was escorting a scooter bound fat woman whose gut touched the seat, thank god I ignore the type.

From Weenieworld:
Rex Burkhead's one-year, $3.15 million deal makes him the highest-paid Patriots running back since Fred Taylor in 2010.

The Patriots haven't paid a running back $2-plus million in over a half-decade. Some Patriots fans apparently assumed Burkhead would be a special teams-only replacement for Brandon Bolden. According to ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss, Burkhead is "viewed as a key cog, both offensively and on special teams" by the Patriots, while the Providence Journal's Mark Daniels believes Burkhead "is coming to the Patriots with a chance to be their starting running back."

Every now and then one of our guys gets a rare opportunity. A make or break opportunity. Sounds like the Pats need him to prove it. I hope Burkhead has an injury free season and proves it to the Pats and rest of the cuck GM's in the league

Rex going to New England is incredible . I really can't remember the last time a free agent signing has ever made me this happy. Honestly I think this is more preferable than CM going to the Pats because Rex is just as good as CM but he doesn't have the pedigree, status, or fame. If Rex couldn't find a team he'd probably be done for or out of the league very soon .

CM on the other hand is a bit more indestructible . Everyone in the country knows his name. He broke records in college. Many people think he was robbed of the Heisman. He put up great combine numbers and his dad is a former pro. So I think no matter what team he gets drafted by there will considerable pressure to play him

On another note all my joy turned into rage after I read this

Browns reportedly have interest in Geno Smith, potentially as a starter
Posted by Michael David Smith on March 14, 2017, 6:01 AM EDT

The Browns haven’t identified their starting quarterback for 2017, but it could be someone who spent the last two years as a backup.

Geno Smith has drawn interest from the Browns and would be able to compete for the starting job in Cleveland, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Smith hasn’t started and finished a game since 2014, so he would seem more likely to be a backup in 2017. He has indicated that he’s willing to serve as a backup, and two teams that have shown interest in Smith as a backup are the Chargers and Giants.

But if Smith wants to start, Cleveland may be the only place where he’d get a chance. At the moment, the Browns’ quarterback depth chart consists of Cody Kessler, Kevin Hogan and Brock Osweiler, with Osweiler likely to be gone before the season starts and Hogan not seen as having a legitimate shot at winning the starting job. So Smith could compete with Kessler in camp, and potentially beat him out.

But Kessler showed some promise as a rookie last year, and there’s nothing forcing the Browns to cut Osweiler, even though they traded for him more because they wanted the draft pick that came with him than because they wanted Osweiler himself. A Kessler-Osweiler quarterback competition might be better than a Kessler-Smith quarterback competition.

Meanwhile, there’s a suggestion that if Smith really wants to be a starter, he needs to do so in the Canadian Football League. Canada or Cleveland.

Jesus Christ are you ******* kidding me ? How is this fine African American even still in the league ? He was a starter for his first 2 years in the league while never even having to compete for the job and he played like complete garbage . He was also the unquestioned starter going into his 3rd season but he got his jaw broken by a fellow teammate. The Browns already have 3 young white quarterbacks on their roster . Kessler showed promise last season and we have no idea how great hogan can be but they're already writing him off according to the article . And I don't think there's any way that Brock is really as bad as he played last season . I mean he played pretty well on the Broncos and could have won a super bowl with them if Manning hadn't come back

I wouldn't worry about Geno Smiff starting for the Browns. It's a clickbait type headline more than a serious possibility. . . there's always all kinds of stuff floated around during the long NFL offseasons that never comes close to happening.

Back to back examples on Weenieworld of the nearly complete freedom black affletes have to engage in criminality with no consequences even when caught:

The Sacramento County's district attorney has declined to file charges against restricted free agent DE Ethan Westbrooks. Westbrooks was arrested in a domestic violence incident two weekends ago that left the mother of one of Westbrooks' three children with a visible injury. Westbrooks has three kids with three different women and has been in custody battles for them. The 26-year-old was extended an original-pick tender by the Rams, giving Los Angeles the right of first refusal.

A Pittsburgh judge dismissed all charges filed against free agent Darrelle Revis on Wednesday. Revis was facing four felonies and one misdemeanor stemming from a brawl in February. He's now off the hook. The off-field matter isn't what is keeping Revis unemployed in the NFL, however. Revis mailed it in last season and saw his play fall off a cliff. There's a real chance he doesn't suit up in 2017.

I think it would be a good idea for someone to start a thread called the afflete crime report or whatever so we can document every time an African American athlete gets in trouble with the law . It could be a good way to redpill lurkers

There's already two long-standing threads: http://www.castefootball.us/index.php?threads/athlete-crime-thread.16329/
http://www.castefootball.us/index.php?threads/crime-thread.3621/

A lot of the black athlete crimes get posted in various NFL threads, or NBA threads, etc., rather than in the athlete crime thread, otherwise it would be colossal in size.

Was just looking at a fantasy site that is tracking free agent moves and this is what they wrote about Burkhead: "A non-factor on most teams, but fits the profile of a fantasy contributor with Pats."

Now why would Burkhead be a "non-factor" for "most teams" and yet be desired by the best team? One would think that a player who "fits the profile" of the perennially best team would be wanted by all the other teams as well.

It's astounding how indoctrination replaces logic in the minds of so many otherwise intelligent people. The writer has unwittingly described the Caste System and the one team that snubs its nose at it when it comes to offense.
