49ers receivers continue to fall with injury problems, which continues to pave the way for Trent Taylor to have a breakthrough season:
George Kittle is one of the most exciting San Francisco 49ers players to watch on Sundays ... or Mondays, Thursdays, or whatever day he steps onto the football field. He's one of the more entertaining players in the league. While fans are eager to see The People's Tight End hauling in passes and punishing defenders with his impressive blocking skills, the NFL star can't wait to see another player back on the field.
Kittle spoke with 49ers.com reporter Keiana Martin on Monday and was asked to identify the one teammate he is most excited to see this season.
"Trent Taylor," Kittle responded without hesitation. "Are you kidding me? This dude is so good. So good. Just let him get on the field, and he's just going to -- I'm so excited about Trent Taylor. You guys have no idea."
Taylor missed last season after suffering a setback while recovering from offseason foot surgery. That came after a 2018 season that was hindered by an offseason back injury.
Taylor's best season came during his rookie year in 2017 when the receiver racked up 43 catches for 430 yards and two touchdowns.
"I've been working out with this guy for two offseasons," Kittle continued. "He hasn't gotten to play. Now, he's back. He's healthy. He's fast. He's quick. He can catch every single ball. It's going to be so much fun."
