While BSPN and the rest of the corporate sports media still fixate on Tony Mandarich, Heath Shuler, Ryan Leaf, Brian Bosworth and other busts from various drafts from the '80s and '90s, a must-see "greatest draft busts" show could be made just from the 2012 draft.

The second pick in '12 was Robert Griffin, the third pick was Trent Richardson, and the fifth pick was Justin Blackmon, three colossal busts right there.

A lot of the other blacks taken in the first round that year have been underachievers and busts as well, including LB Nick Perry, RB David Wilson (out of the league due to injury), RB Doug Martin (two terrible seasons after a good rookie year), WR A.J. Jenkins, DE Quinton Coples, CB Stephon Gilmore, and CB Morris Claiborne among others. The only black player taken in the entire first round who has met expectations is Chandler Jones.

By contrast, most of the Whites taken in the first round in 2012 have excelled, such as Andrew Luck, Matt Kalil, Ryan Tannehill, Luke Kuechly, Harrison Smith, Riley Reiff, and David DeCastro. The only two disappointments have been Shea McClellin, who has been moved to ILB and will be starting for the Bears there this season, and Brandon Weedin, who is locked in as Tony Romo's backup.

But don't hold your breath waiting for BSPN or the NFL Network to air a show about all the busts in the 2012 draft.

While there are concerns about the pro-style offense, he's done it enough in college that you know he'll be successful in the NFL. If Luck is 1, then RG3 is 1A. In fact, he has an even stronger arm and he moves just as well. If he stays healthy, he'll be the quarterback Washington so desperately needed and well worth the picks they gave up to get him."

again these supposed draft experts are totally wrong about a player of color and yet won't be called out or held accountable - they are wrong more than your local weatherman.

Mcgay, kipper, gayock and all the rest were hyping up rgme as a superior player to luck. Luck is proving everyone wrong as he has become the next great qb and once again fits the mold of what an actual successful qb plays like and looks like. The decline of rgme has been one of the pleasant surprises of the NFL offseason.

Ball was the most hyped running back coming into the league the year after Trent Richardson was the most hyped RB. And Melvin Gordon has looked very shaky so far, could well be the next Wisconsin RB bust.

Too bad someone doesn't have the time to go over the past decade of NFL drafts and rank the players drafted in the first two rounds on whether they are/were colossal busts, busts, disappointments, or played to expectations. The list would be eye-opening even to DWFs, well maybe not DWFs, most of them are hopeless.

I think it was two seasons ago that Montee Ball was auto-selected for me in the first round in the other fantasy league I'm in. He was one of the top fantasy RBs projected for that year, he was like the 5th or 8th pick overall. He was hurt off and on that whole year and did absolutely nothing. Then last year he did nothing. And just like that this year he is cut. Another total bust. What a joke.

Melvin Gordon is shaping up to be a bust from the first round of the 2015 NFL draft, among others, but of course Whitey will never get a chance to be recruited and run the ball no matter how many blacks suck at the position:


Ex-Broncos RB Montee Ball went unclaimed on waivers. It's a mild surprise, but speaks to how far Ball's stock has fallen. The Denver Post reports the diminutive third-year back has already drawn interest from multiple teams, including the Falcons. He'll likely crack someone's 53-man roster in the next week.

I remember then-Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland REALLY loved Coples due to his affleticism and wanted to draft him, but was overruled by the Dolphins owner into taking Tannehill instead. This is what I heard anyway. Stephen Ross is a buffoon but even a broken clock is right twice a day. Boy did Jeff Ireland suck or what?! No wonder this caste clown never got another GM job after darkening up the Fins.

At least they didn't wave a promising white player (ie Zach Vigil or Mike Hull) to make room for him. It was a black scrub (Zack Bowman) that got cut. So on the positive side, it's a lateral move at worst.

Oh and figures it was former Jet caste clown Mike Tannenbaum that picked this loser up off of his former team. He must still have that magical "upside"
