additional circumstantial evidence is that he grew up in the same neighborhood with Anthony Gonzalez and is best friends with the Colts' wideout, he played college baseball in Indiana, and the lack of "buzz" from the NFL toward this athlete despite his obvious speed.

but the crowning point of evidence is that the above photo wasn't accompanied by a single reference to a "room-brightening smile." therefore, it's obvious he's a white man.

JC, you and others here who believe Means is white are right, and I'm glad you are! I finally found a "smoking gun" that confirms it:

Growing up in Avon Lake, Ohio, Means shared his love for pigskin with current Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez. The two lived across the street from one another and, like their families, are still friends.

That plays to Means' advantage - especially as the combine lingers.

Not many players can say they have a lifelong friend - or neighbor, for that matter - who caught the scouts' eyes and plays in the NFL.

Coincidentally, Means said he emulates his friend's style on the field.

Not a bad idea, since slot formations are becoming more frequent in NFL playbooks.

Great find, Don!

It's very rare to see a young white athlete even hint at race...let alone mention the words "white" and "WR" in the same breath.

It's also nice to know that Anthony Gonzalez thinks of himself as white. He should, he's pale, blue eyes, and has light hair. The media will do anthing to have a "hispanic" star at WR. It's cool that Gonzo won't play their affirmative action, head-counting games.

With the ancient head-case Marvin Harrison finally gone, Gonzo is primed to be the next white WR star.
