i find it hard to believe that jacksonville would go after a non black qb. does anybody know the last time they had a starting qb who was not black?Edited by: green fire317

but the crowning point of evidence is that the above photo wasn't accompanied by a single reference to a "room-brightening smile." therefore, it's obvious he's a white man.
JC, you and others here who believe Means is white are right, and I'm glad you are! I finally found a "smoking gun" that confirms it:

Growing up in Avon Lake, Ohio, Means shared his love for pigskin with current Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez. The two lived across the street from one another and, like their families, are still friends.
That plays to Means' advantage - especially as the combine lingers.
Not many players can say they have a lifelong friend - or neighbor, for that matter - who caught the scouts' eyes and plays in the NFL.
Coincidentally, Means said he emulates his friend's style on the field.
Not a bad idea, since slot formations are becoming more frequent in NFL playbooks.
"I definitely feel like I model myself after (Gonzalez)," Means said. "We're both six-foot, white receivers who adapt well to different offensive schemes. We have a lot of versatility that can help many teams out there."

It's very rare to see a young white athlete even hint at race...let alone mention the words "white" and "WR" in the same breath.
It's also nice to know that Anthony Gonzalez thinks of himself as white. He should, he's pale, blue eyes, and has light hair. The media will do anthing to have a "hispanic" star at WR. It's cool that Gonzo won't play their affirmative action, head-counting games.
With the ancient head-case Marvin Harrison finally gone, Gonzo is primed to be the next white WR star.
