Can't remember the talking head's name that Bob Costas introduces that always comes on at the very end of SNF to comment on the "lead stories" coming up for the next day. Anyway, if I heard him correctly, didn't he say RGIII is now seemingly staying in Washington, and plans are to "build a team around him"??? If that is so, what team would want to, especially the Redskins who are in the tank with him? I heard it in passing and I was a bit busy, so can someone fill me in?
Thanks guys.
Paraphrasing here: Redskins will have high draft choices and be under the salary cap next year. Redskins will draft better players to make RGScree better next year! LOL

Hey "the Hock" is your avatar of the 49er RB Hofer who replaced OJ Simpson as the starting RB back in 79? He was good until he suffered a leg injury of some sort. He was never the same.

Yeah Westside, you get an A on your history test. I remember Hofer as a very good back, with a talent for hitting the line at full speed. Very quick first couple steps. Good in the passing game out of the backfield too. Then he blew his knee out as I remember and was pretty much done and missed out on the first Super Bowl.

So gutted to miss Edelman tear up the Chargers last night, was a great touchdown and finally getting some well earned be grudging praise from the caste analysts. Realistically we should see Edelman hit the 1000 yards for the season easily and with Gronk all but there should be a good final three games for the Pats as they secure number 1 seed for the post season.

Be good to see Rodgers and Nelson again tonight and with Clay Matthews on the inside now alongside AJ Hawk makes them even more watchable. Be good to see what Matty Ice can do in what could be a shootout with Rodgers he has some talent in White and Jones so could be an entertaining game later hopefully with a winning TD from Nelson!

Tonight's game has the makings of a Packers blow-out. This usually means a 1-2 catch and maybe a TD night for Jordy, who's promptly forgotten about as Rodgers decides to feed Cobb and everyone else. Manning never does that to Thomas, Big Ben to Wallace, or Stafford to Megatron. It's extremely disappointing to see Jordy still under-utilized/targeted at times, even though he's the best all-around WR in the game.

Enjoy it Celticdb15!

I hope Jordy has a 200+ yard game and multiple TDs, and Rodgers feeds him the ball early and often.

Be safe and give a report back to us!

I'm predicting 150 yards for Nelson, 400 yards and 3 TDs for Rodgers, 2 sacks and 10 tackles for Matthews and a blowout win for the Packers.

I'm still here.

Been busy lately, but did manage to catch the Patriots-Chargers game. First time in a long while that I rooted against the Chargers.

I guess AJ Hawk has been demoted for an afflete with upside. He is 30, but I thought he was still producing a lot of tackles.

Gruden praising Hawk's replacement Barrington.......'better than Hawk, blah, blah, blah'......on the next play he gets burned on a reception by a back out if the backfield.......LOL. Gruden starts mumbling about the GB's coach's courage to play a rookie........the next play Hawk was back in........funny stuff.

A thing of beauty...Rodgers to Nelson for the 60 yard TD!

NFL Record 7th 40+ yd TD at Home for Jordy Nelson

"100 Meter Champ in Kansas"..."THIS GUY CAN FLY"..."people don't realize how fast he is" Gruden is salivating & then said "42 TD's since 2011...he's just warming up"!

This game is close due to GB's pitiful defense, the secondary in particular. This is the one thing that may be their undoing when they meet the Blackhawks for the NFC championship game at Lambeau field in January (my prediction).

Good thing the Falcons have Biermann and Worrilow on defense or the cameramen wouldn't know who to pan to when the Falcons give up a big play.

GB played good defense against NE last week. Tonight it was affeletic DB burn O fest courtesy of Matty Ice and Julio Jones. They dared all the secondary to stop them on almost every play. They better get that corrected or as foobar stated, it will be their undoing in the playoffs even at home.

Yes, a team that has to depend on outscoring opponents due to a weak defense has a way of coming up short in the playoffs.

Toucan's fall from grace, along with the dismal failures of so many other black quarterbacks has been one of the highlights of this season. Here's a pretty good SI article which covers the subject, including the upcoming draft and how most GMs are very gunshy about those mobile QBs who were supposed to revolutionize the position:

http://mmqb.si.com/2014/12/03/quarterback-market-draft-2015/

It's the most difficult position in all of sports and it belongs to the white man, much to the dismay of the cultural Marxist vermin and ******* like Chrissy and other so-called analysts who continue to get it wrong time and again.

The only problem is that no one can seem to make a racial connection here. Just cause 5 black qb's in a row were busts it doesn't mean the next 5 will be busts because race only exists when they want it to. The DWF believe the reason why Smiff,Griffin,Kaep, etc suck is because they just individually suck, their blackness has nothing to do with it. That's why next year Jameis Winston, Brett Hundley, Dak Prescott, and maybe even the "quarterback" from Alabama will all get drafted and become NFL quarterbacks.

And when most of them inevitably fail it'll have absolutely nothing to do with them being black. So the year after that J.T Barett, Trevone Boykins, Golson, Braxton Miller, etc will also get drafted and become NFL quarterbacks. Most will fail but one will probably stick around. And the cycle will continue every year. The plan is to throw everything they can at it and just hope something sticks. Meanwhile many good white quarterbacks will either go undrafted or fall to the latter rounds.

And that's pretty much a death sentence from a DWF stand point. They all have it in their heads that if you get drafted past the 2nd round then you're probably not very good and you're nothing more than a backup. That's just how stupid they are. Mike Glennon had a phenomenal rookie season last year that mostly went ignored by the media for obvious reasons but the DWF still wrote him off and were clamoring for a new QB only because Glennon was drafted in the 3rd round. Matt Barkley is someone who has also completely been written off because he was drafted in the 4th round, even though if he had declared for the draft just one year earlier he would have been a lock for the first round. There are a lot of other young white quarterbacks drafted in the mid rounds or unsuccessful in their rookie seasons who have been completely screwed over.

I guess a lot of us here seem to be focused on white skill position players and the struggles they face but white quarterbacks have it just as hard. It's becoming more and more difficult for a white quarterback to solidy himself as his team's franchise quarterback, just ask Nick Foles and Ryan Tannehill. It's like you either have to become a top 5 player or win a super bowl.

Just two years ago they thought that black QBs were finally going to dominate the NFL. They'll never let it go, the agenda is always pushed. But it's possible that they'll start being drafted noticeably later, as the teams that want to win know they need a White qb no matter how black they allow all the other positions to get on their team.

I have to give you some credit Don; a year or two ago a lot of us,myself included, were actually worried that blacks like Griffin,Newton, Kaep, etc would actually take over the quarterback position and you told us to relax , and that these things happen every once in a while and then they go away. The only problem now is that all the top rated college quarterbacks are black so every year now we're just going to have a new wave of black quarterbacks. I don't think it'll stop. Just look at the NCAA selection committee's top 10 ranking, only 3/10 teams have white quarterbacks.
and once a coach tries to get them to play in the pocket and take less hits there are still dwfs saying "if they just let him run more.." going in one big stupid circle trying to fufill "upside"

I laughed out loud when I read that cause I hear DWF say that all the time.

8/146/2 for the NFL's premier deep threat, a good night indeed!

The NFL has very few “speedsters” at WR and most of them are under 6-ft tall (Antonio Brown, DeSean Jackson, John Brown, TY Hilton, Randall Cobb, Julian Edelman, Emmanuel Sanders, Golden Tate, Mike Wallace, etc).

Of the “elite” WR’s over 6-ft tall (Julio Jones, Jordy Nelson, AJ Green, Dez Bryant, Calvin Johnson, Demaryius Thomas), Nelson clearly possess the most superior straight-line speed of the bunch. There isn’t a black cornerback on the planet (even Darrelle Revis, who ran a 4.38 second 40, was burned by Nelson last week) that can stay with him on a deep route…

After last night, the farm kid from rural Kansas who had to “walk-on” at Kansas State is now 5[SUP]th[/SUP] in the NFL in receiving with 78 catches, 1,265 yards and 12 TD’s. He's tied with Julius Thomas for the most TD catches.

The good news is that Green Bay has every reason to win their final 3 games to ensure home field advantage, so they surely won't be resting their starters (only Jordy's numbers suffer when this occurs) unless they have big leads at the tail end of games.

PS - it was nice to see the Packer defense shredded in the wake of AJ Hawk's demotion. Hopefully their putrid play continues until Hawk is re-inserted into the starting unit.
