Proclaiming a shitty journeyman quarterback to be your starter makes me think the NFL has placed a mandate for the number of black starting QBs in the league. My guess is the league wants to have at least 45% non-White QBs in the league. After watching Smiff's career and especially last season for him to return to the team he originally sucked for and be named starter is WWF scripting.

There are several potential rookies in this class that have better "upside" than the failing upwards Geno Smiff. If they do not select a QB early on - Simpson, Nussmeier, Allar then something is amiss.

I’d say this was the caste system in action but the Jets organization is so retarded that it’s hard to tell.

It’s difficult to say what the “promised land” might look like to a Jets team that has won 49 regular season games over the past ten years. Perhaps it means Smith, who struggled in Vegas last season, can make the Jets a respectable six or seven win team in 2026. It would be surprising if Smith remains New York’s starter throughout the year considering his lengthening injury history, his age, and the team’s need to see what they have in younger players as they prepare for what will likely be a post-Glenn rebuild.
 
By “promised land” I think what Glenn means is the number 1 overall pick…
 
Smiff had a really good season a few years ago with the Seachickens, everyone thinks that’s the QB they’re going to get. I don’t believe that’s happening
 
Anointing Geno Smiff as the #1 starter months before the season starts and before the draft has even taken place is beyond retarded. Also LOL @ a 6-11 season being considered "respectable." I guess by Jets standards it is.
 
Maybe ol Geno can Tom Iron his way off the team before the season. If I were the Jets, I’d use a 2nd round pick to get Sorsby in the upcoming supplemental draft. Then go into the season with him and Klubnik competing for the starting role. If a veteran is needed, they can keep Bailey Zappe, especially is Sorsby is suspended by the league for some number of games.

Can anyone honestly say this wouldn’t be a huge improvement on the QB room.
 
The NFL protects its negroes. The track record speaks for itself - Josh Jacobs, James Pearce, Jonathan Cooper all have not faced any repercussions to this point for domestic abuse. Geno Smiff, the quasi retard will get the same treatment. Can’t understand how this dullard got several chances in the league outside of being black and looking like he has extra chromosomes.
