New York Jets General Thread

Jets signed Alex Erickson. He’s up to 4K return yards and 1k receiving in his career. Not bad for a walk-on and Udfa. I’m a firm believer he’d be closer to 4K receiving if he was given a chance in wr rotation.
Yes indeed Bucky!
Saw Erickson out there last night ; had a 19 yard catch.

NY Jets also have 6'-3" 210 Rookie WR Jerome Kapp from D2 Kutztown State...like Erickson he is down on the depth chart.
He showed some speed on the post pattern ; but his 3rd string QB Chris Streveler really struggled out there

Having Rodgers starting is a good thing for Zach Wilson ; may have been thrown in the fire too early ; a couple years as a Back up he should be good to go after Rodgers retires (2 years?)...(like Rodgers did w Favre) but its a different time now w more Rookie QB's forced to enter the fray

Nice find! I was not aware of Kapp. Agree with Zach Wilson and it really looks like Rodgers is doing his best to server as a mentor/coach to him.

Nice Kutztown always seems to put out some Studs!

Guys don't drink anything while watching this one....

PS Rogers never wanted to be a backup to Favre how's he going to be a backup to Kennedy?

Here's another hilarious take on this clown world headline...

Nick Wright looks and sounds like Tom Green with a Chuck Schumer beak. He’s a visually unsettling individual.

Jets signed mega-bust Justin Fields to a 2 year $40 million contract, $30 mil guaranteed. Nobody needs to worry about them in 2025.

Jets sign CB Brandon Stephens to a 3 year 36 million dollar contract. 2 Career INTs, admittedly decent tackle numbers for a CB and 32 PDs. I am sure a White athlete could provide a similar impact if given the chance.

They might as well dump that money in the Jersey swamp mob-style as it will never be seen again….

Jets doing Jets things.

Jets add Harrison Phillips

Poor guy! What did he do to deserve this punishment.

Is this the Jets first White defensive starter since injury prone Henry Anderson briefly played for them? Might have to dig up the old write ups.

It sounds like the Jets have plans for Andrew Beck, or I hope so.

I’m glad it looks like he will make the roster as a versatile blocking back. A coach with an open mind should look at him more as a featured, running back just off of this kickoff return only.

There isn't much buzz about 2024 UDFA DE Braiden McGregor, who signed a no-frills 3-year contract last year. I asked AI if McGregor would make the roster: the computer algorithm thinks he has a solid spot as a low-risk backup. McGregor has dealt with several long-term injuries dating back to high school that hindered a borderline 5-star grade - I am holding out hope that he overachieves and works in as a situational pass rusher this season.
