Mike Gesicki separated his shoulder in practice yesterday. Hopefully he's ready to go by the start of the season. Gesicki and Hunter Henry on the field at the same time can make things a lot easier for Mac Jones.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Mike Gesicki sustained a separated shoulder.
The hope, per Rapoport, is that Gesicki is OK for the Patriots’ season opener. Gesicki was hurt during a tackling drill on Monday and was seen grabbing at his shoulder as he exited toward the team’s locker room. New England is widely expected to deploy two tight end sets this season, so the Gesicki injury could force offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien to shift course ahead of Week 1. Hunter Henry would be a little more interesting for fantasy purposes if Gesicki is sidelined for the season opener.

LOL Genius isn’t **** without Brady.. Mac Jones ain’t getting the same kind of sumo he had at Bama.. These moves reek of desperation.

Mediocre after mediocre trade, we are desperate for tackle quality and depth but the two made today are awful. Belichick not struck gold with these two that's for sure

Problem isn't helped tbh by Reiff being awful in camp moved to guard and now injured. He was paid guaranteed starter money and hasn't been good.

Looks like Hunter Henry is staying at New England, rare piece of good news for the franchise and takes the top tight end of the board before free agency begins for next week.

3 year 27 million. Hopefully change of coaching and some improved play around him will see a bounce back year.

Career scrub tears his ACL halfway through last season and is rewarded with a 3 year contract worth up to $33 million. I can't wait to see the Patriots this season, could be great comic relief. Hunter Henry may feel very lonely on the field and in the locker room:

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Kendrick Bourne and the Patriots have agreed to a three-year contract.
Bourne’s deal is worth “up to $33 million,” according to Schefter. The veteran receiver was in the midst of one of the best years of his career last season (37-406-4) before a torn ACL suffered in Week 8 limited him to just eight games on the season. Bourne has never gone for more than 800 yards in any of his seven professional seasons and has eclipsed 500 yards only twice. While his return to the Patriots is a good sign for Bourne and his playing future, it shouldn’t stop the Patriots from going out and seriously addressing their wide receiver issues via free agency or the draft. Incredibly, DeVante Parker also remains under contract, but the Patriots running things back with Parker and Bourne as their top two receivers would be malpractice for a team that won just four games last year while ranking 31st in points per game.

Teams often do this, such a shame people go away from the formula of a good number of athletic quality white players and high character black players, so often a winning formula ie Patriots back in the day and the current Kansas city chiefs. The ultimate copy cat league that people never copy the winning formula!

The Patriots are going to be comically black if Jayden Daniels is the pick at 3. At least they'll be interesting to watch from a sociological standpoint.

I think they end up taking bo nix or McCarthy after trading down from 3 in the first round. They are sending four staff to watch Nix pro day.

Think we trade down take a tackle in the first and then select Nix would be my guess. Or trade down and take Mccarthy in the first

Austin Hooper signed 1 year 4.25 million solid signing to play with Henry hopefully more of a fit than Gesicki for us.
