So the lockout is over and the NBA is back. I have mixed feelings on this; I would have preferred to see it fold and to see the "stars" try and make the move to Europe. Where their every-other-play-travailing, every-play-carrying, loud and obnoxious whining would not be tolerated.
But it is what it is, there will be a season. And we have our brothers to root for.
Last season ended phenomenally for the Caste Busters, the Dallas Mavericks led by white superstar Dirk Nowitzki. And with significant contributions from Barea, Cardinal, and Stojakovich they proved once and for all that in this 'new and ultra-afroletic' NBA that white players can dominate and win championships period. They also added Rudy Fernandez who may end up playing in Europe this year.
This season is one that I am excited about for the first time ever.
I am excited to see Jimmer Ferdette prove everyone who questioned his athleticism, as racially biased.
I can't wait to see Ricky Rubio pair with Kevin Love for one of the most dynamic duos in NBA history.
I can't wait to see JJ Red ick for the first time as a starter playing without looking over his shoulder.
I can't wait to see Chase Buddinger develop into a All-Star.
Gordon Hayward silence all those who said he was taken to early.
Can't wait to see Adam Morrison's comeback, there will be a comeback.
I can't wait to hear about how much hustle it takes for Tyler Hansburgh to overcome his melanin deficiency and dominate.
Can't wait to hear about how much hard work it took for Dirk to get to where he is, or how sneaky Steve Nash is.
Or how Manu Ginobli puts his defender too sleep then hustles by them.
Or seeing Enes Kanter dominate with that sneaky style.
Or seeing Chandler Parsons prove that he should have been a first round pick.
Or Josh Harrellson win the starting job in New Orleans despite the lack of upside.
Yes it would have been nice to see it fold.
But let's rally for our brethren; the NFL is waking up slowly but surly. Now it's on to the NBA.
Happy Season my fellow Caste Busters.
