It's great that the T'Wolves are starting 4 white guys. Great!!!
To keep that going they need 2 things:
1/ win games.
If any team isn't winning the line-ups will be tweaked and adjusted; or the team will be dis-mantled.
2/ Darko needs to play better. His numbers aren't good enough. He needs to step up his game.
The rest of the guys deserve to be starting for sure.

Jack, how much longer before the media labels the T-Wolves as racist and they are dismantled just like the Pacers? The Pacers were a half white team a few years ago and now only have Hansborough, Amundson, and Jeff Foster on the roster. We see teams like this from time to time but they never last long.

Utah had a fairly White roster and starting lineup for a number of years.

Yes, that's true but for some reason the media never went after Utah for that. I don't know why. They were always a good team with those half white rosters they had. The Jazz today have only two whites, Gordon Hayward and Turkish player Enes Kanter. Quite a drastic change from not that long ago.

The Boston Celtics of the Larry Bird era were about half white but that's becoming harder and harder to do in the league today. The Bulls of the Jordan era had a half white roster or close to it as well. You had Steve Kerr, Luc Longley, Jud Buechler, Toni Kukoc, Jack Haley and Bill Wennington.

The T-Wolves are 4-7 right now. If they happen to turn things around and become a playoff bound team, I expect the media to say something about it.

The Twolves lost a heart breaker. Another close loss by 2 points. Kevin Love was sensational as always and Rubio continues to improve. They have had a brutal schedule with very little rest. Mark my words. They are close to being a very good team. They play hard night after night. They will win alot of games. They are by far my favorite team to watch.

As mentioned by WL, Minnesota lost a close one tonight to Atlanta.
Love with 30pts and 13 rebounds, and Rubio with 18 points and 12 assists.
But Darko Milicic had 0 points and only 2 rebounds in 15 minutes.

The T-Wolves need to find a better center to be a great team. Darko is just never going to live up to his potential. He's a backup at best. Marc Gasol or that Italian guy on Toronto would be nice if they could get either.

So far this season, Gortat is leading the league in field goal percentage at 62 percent! He's also averaging 14.3 ppg and 8.4 rebounds per game in just 28 minutes per contest. Here are some more updates for our guys.

Nash is back to his regular form and is now tied with Rajon Rondo for the league lead in assists at 10.1 per game.

Two whites can be found in the top 10 in scoring, Kevin Love is fifth at 25 ppg and Andrea Bargnani is ninth at 22.3 ppg. David Lee is close at 13th with 19.1 ppg.

Dirk Nowitzki is having a poor season so far by his standards. Is his age finally catching up to him? He's 21st in the league in scoring at 17.7 ppg.

Ricky Rubio is playing very well. He's currently 8th in assists per game at 8.3 per contest. He's also averaging 11 ppg while shooting a very respectable 46 % from the floor. He will be a star and a John Stockton type in the near future.

Kevin Love is second in the league in rebounding at 14.6 rebounds per game.

All in all, we do have some very good white players that we can all enjoy watching. David Lee, Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio, Andrea Bargnani, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, and Marc Gasol are keeping me somewhat interested in the NBA this season.

Also, most of the T-wolves losses have been close ones, not so with their wins. They are a team poised for a breakout I think.

The Magic started 3 whites today, Turkoglu, Anderson, and Redick.

All three had good games today, with Anderson and Redick having monster games. Turkoglu had 15 points.

Redick had 21 points on 8-12 shooting, and Anderson exploded for 30 points and 7 rebounds today!

Orlando's white players led the team today, as they were the Magic's three leading scorers. Of course, you'd think that they didn't touch the floor if you listened to the morons at ESPN "analyzing" the game. They only talked about Amare Stoudemire, "Melo", and Dwight Howard. They mentioned "Big Baby" Davis being fired up too. Oh, they also talked about some Knicks player who has huge potential just because he managed to dunk the ball over somebody one time.

When the fact the Magic were going to win dawned on them, they gave passing mention to Turkoglu. Their "leaders" for Orlando was Howard, who had a pedestrian (for him) 8 points and 10 boards, and that fat ass Glen "Big Baby" Davis, who was Orlando's only black player in double figures with 12 points. His state line was an insurmountable 12 points and six boards.

Doesn't BSPN realize that today is MLK Day and that they shouldn't be judging people by the color of their skin but by the content of their character (or performance) :icon_wink:. I guess that's only a one-way street too.

Minnesota continues to improve easily beating the Kings tonight. Kevin Love led the way as usual with 33 points and 11 rebounds. Luke Ridnour poured in 25 points. This team gets better with each and every game. For those of you who haven't had a chance to watch them yet, tune in some night. Love is a superstar and is quickly becoming one of the most popular players in the nba.

Also Ricky Rubio had 9 pts, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds!

On the other hand, Darko had another dismal performance - 15mins, 0 pts, 1 rebound. Pathetic.
For the Kings, Jimmer had just 6pts. What's happened with him?!

Jimmer has been "Keith Smart-ed". He only logged 15 minutes on the floor. He only took 7 shots, 0-3 from 3-point-land, but 3-4 from inside the arc, with 1 steal and 1 assist. Actually a decent stat line for someone as marginalized as he has been with the new "friend of DeMarcus Cousins" head coach.

JL, I've noticed on the BSPN NBA highlights, white players are rarely mentioned when having big games.
Even Love doesn't get alot of attention; and Redick, no one's even heard of him!

This is another reason why I never watch anymore.

For those who are interested. There are two good national tv games on espn tonight. The Magic play the Lakers in a game where both teams will have almost half white rosters. Then the second game is our team the Timberwolves. Should be a fun night for the basketball fans here on this board. A good appetizer before the big football games this weekend.

Huge matchup tonight!! The T-wolves play the LA Clippers who dont have 1 white on their roster:thumbdown:

By the way, although Darko has seen his production and minutes fall off a cliff, the good news is that the young center from Montenegro, Nikola Pekovic has been usurping his minutes averaging almost 20 over the last 3 games with decent production. Could be a matter of time before he replaces Darko as a starter to retain 4 whites starting

Darko is looking great thus far tonight against the Clippers: 8 points & 2 blocks of Blake Griffin in the first 10 minutes!

I've been watching the game. Darko has 18 points and is really playing good. You can tell he is very tired as he usually only plays around 20 minutes a game on average. Maybe this will be the start of bigger and better things. His defense has been really good. It' s too bad Ricky Rubio is having an off night. The Clippers have a 7 point lead going into the 4th quarter. I'm still hoping the Twolves can pull this one out.

One note to add from the game. Kevin Love has started the season with 15 straight double/doubles. He needs one more to tie the all time nba record of Moses Malone. Two more double/doubles and he has made history again. Love is 2nd in rebounding and 4th in scoring in the nba! What a stud! He is the future and Minnesota better resign him quickly.

I watched the second half, the first regular season NBA game I've watched in a long time, and I'm glad I did! Rubio didn't make a field goal until late in the game but still showed his great ball handling and passing skills. He was tremendous in the fourth quarter. Good to see Love slimmed down and is now the first White American superstar in the league since. . . John Stockton?

Minnesota was very enjoyable to watch, and they're young and will only get better. The Clippers played hard too, maybe the racial component will make for a lot of interesting, hard-fought games involving the Timberwolves this season.

What a fantastic game. I haven't watched an entire nba game in a while but the Twolves are so much fun to watch. Kevin Love won it hitting a 3 pointer at the buzzer! He had 17 points and 14 rebounds. Darko was amazing putting up 22 points and 7 rebounds despite fouling out. Rubio had a bad game overall but was really getting into the grove in the 4th quarter. You can see the talent there. Ridnour and Peckovic both played very well. Luke Ridnour does not get enough praise. He is usually the 2nd leading scorer and despite his size, he is fearless. What a competetor. All of this and JJ Barara didn't even play due to an injury. This is the team to watch guys! Four out of the five starters are white and that is as rare as it comes. The Twolves play hard every night and now are back in the mix and are just about back to 500.
