Movies

Looks horrible. The 1st Spartacus stunk as well. Had a Māori playing a Gaul. Revisionist Jewish history.

I heard they struck again with the new Robinhood series. Friar John is Friar Lil John. They ruin everything. Now even period pieces aren’t safe.

I mostly watch movies from the '80s and '90s, comedies in particular. A 1982 movie I recently watched that I hadn't seen for a long time is 48 Hours starring Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy. This movie helped turn Murphy into a superstar and he eventually bonds with Nolte in the ebony and ivory way Hollywood always loves.

But Nolte's character is such a throwback it's startling to watch now. He plays a San Francisco cop who needs Murphy's character to help him track down some stolen money, so Murphy is freed from prison for 48 hours but has to tag along with Nolte. There are the usual absurd plot tangents such as San Fran having an all-White redneck bar replete with Rebel flags and whose customers and bartender Murphy easily humiliates. Not exactly a realistic bar even in 1982 SF. Another note is that the denizens of San Francisco are still mostly White. There's been a lot of movies set in San Francisco over the years and it's easy to trace the revolutionary demographic and cultural changes that have occurred by viewing such movies.

Nolte's character, "Jack Cates," regularly directs racial slurs towards Murphy's "Reggie Hammond" including calling him the dreaded n-word. Nobody bats an eye. Jack is also gruff with his girlfriend, and female characters are anything but bowed down to the way they usually are now. He's macho in a way that would be called cartoonish today. Since 1982 strong masculinity has been eliminated in White male characters unless they're criminals or bad guys of some sort, and now there seems to be few if any White leading men left except those much more effete than Nolte in his prime.

James Remar plays a convincing villain in 48 Hours, named Ganz. I checked and turns out he has a Russian Jewish father. Big surprise there to discover another Jewish actor. The other bad guy, Ganz's henchman, is a large, menacing Indian (American Indian, not one from our new India-derived overclass) played by Sonny Landham. Landham later became associated with the Council of Conservative Citizens, a national openly pro-White organization that was strong in the South, and I met him at a CofCC convention in 2010. Landham died in 2017.

It's like looking at a time capsule to watch movies like these that show just how quickly and effectively the Permanent Cultural Communist Revolution operates.

Sonny Landham was great in Predator, possible the most masculine film ever.

That brings to mind Stone Cold, starring Brian Bosworth who infiltrates a violent biker group which ends up slaughtering the entire Mississippi supreme court among other murders. A macho film with covert pro-White vibes, it came out in 1991 and has since been flushed down the system's memory hole.

Good mentions will actually go out of my way to watch those.

Going back to the new “Spartacus” show. This Historian is always debunking period shows and their accuracy. Worth a view. He’s very critical, but I appreciate him pointing out finer details.
