I’m glad you gentlemen realize what a joke this inclusion of negro league stats are. Out in normie land I haven’t heard a peep about it good or bad. Guess most don’t care or have given up any fight to maintain the integrity of baseball statistics.

I also think most people have bigger fish to fry. After all that MLB has done to annoy their fan base and ruin the game this seems pretty minor.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s totally ridiculous, but what should we expect to happen? Street protests?

The integrating of Negro League stats is just another of MLB's fruitless attempts at trying to pander to blacks and get more blacks involved with baseball. The cold hard reality of the situation is that blacks simply don't give a fugg about baseball. Modern black culture is all about instant gratification which is why football and basketball are so popular amongst them. Those sports don't have extensive minor league systems and provide an instant shot at stardom. Compare that to baseball which rewards things such as patience, timing, and accuracy (things blacks aren't exactly known for)

As for the Negro Leagues themselves, I would argue that NPB in Japan is probably more competitive than the Negro Leagues could ever dream of being. You don't see anyone clamoring to put Sadaharu Oh in the Hall of Fame. Just more proof that black worship has become the new religion in this country.

Gunnar Henderson, the 23 year old SS for the Orioles is leading MLB in WAR at 4.3 passing NY Yankee Aaron Judge, 4.2 for the time being. Looks like a fight to end. Witt Jr. is third a 3.9. Kyle Tucker is fourth at 3.6.
Here are the top 5.
1. Henderson-4.3
2. Judge-4.2
3. Witt Jr. 3.9
4. Kyle Tucker- 3.6
5. Soto- 3.5
Too bad 3, white players, of the top 5 are all from the AL. You have to go all the way down to 19th place, SF Matt Chapman at 2.5 to find white position player from the NL.
Brice Turang is 22nd at 2.4
LA Dodger Freddie Freeman is 35th at 2.1..and Bryce Harper is 38th at 2.0.
Unless I'm missing someone, it's famine for top white position players in the NL?
LA Dodger Mookie Betts is the top NL WAR position player leader tied with Soto at number. 3.5 WAR

Do you see catcher Will Smith of the Dodgers? Otherwise, it is not great.

Really impressed with Henderson and Witt. I believe they get a bump in WAR being shortstops as it is usually a light hitting position.

Another young prospect that might be worth following is SD Padres Jackson Merrill. The 6'3 195 lb. Centerfielder is only 21 years old and hit his 7th HR today. Not a huge number, but he's only 21 and in his first full season. He's now batting .281 and can steal a base or two as well with 9 SB's in 11 attempts so far this season.

Trea Turner is back from his hamstring tear. I haven’t done the math, but hopefully he’s still eligible to win the NL batting title. The Phillies are a great team to watch. Paul Skenes is must see TV for the Pirates…a SUPERSTAR

Pirates and Skenes are up 4-1 through 4 innings. Skenes 6 K's, 1 run on 4 hits.
Turner 1-3 so far as the Phillies are up 8-1. Kyle Schwarber 2 HR's and Alec Bohm a HR as well.

So I was browsing box scores and saw that the Cardinals and Giants were playing at someplace called Rickwood Field. The oldest field in America apparently? Flip on Fox to see a cool old stadium and it’s over the top propaganda. The president from the Negro League Museum is going on and on (like a jive talking preacher) about how Josh Gibson is the greatest player of all time. Guys, do you know that Gibson had the eye of Ted Williams with the power of Babe Ruth. On and on with tall tales of unbelievable things that Gibson was able to do. Like listening to Paul Bunyan stories. Finally he tells us that Gibson was a “gentile giant” and now all I can think of “hands up don’t shoot” Mike Brown. My image of Josh is ruined…..

But as NikoDuke said in another thread, this is all so tiresome.

Gunnar Henderson had 3 hits tonight and has now hit in 19 of his last 20 games, is second in WAR, and top ten in HRs, Slugging, OPS, triples, runs, and many other stats, all while being only 22 years old.

Thanks Snow Plow. Henderson along with Witt jr. should be right there in the POY hunt with the Yankees Judge who hit his 27th HR today.

Bryan Reynolds extended his hitting streak to 20 games yesterday, the longest by a Pirate since Jason Kendall also had a 20 game streak in 2004.

Reynolds is a solid hitter with good power and is one of the rare talented players who started his career with Pittsburgh who re-upped with them instead of becoming a free agent. The long-time M.O. of the team's owner Bob Nutting is to trade good players before they become free agents in order to save money. Nutting has mastered the art of keeping the team in permanent mediocrity (and often a lot worse than that) in a way that he makes a nice profit every year. If he's not the worst owner in professional sports, he's close.

Not great, but Henderson cancels Witt and this game is meaningless.

Hope I got this right. It’s more work than you’d think as I couldn’t find a site with pictures next to the name and there are surprisingly no upside pitchers named D’Andre to easily eliminate.

Not bad. Each league gets 32 players; 20 position and 12 pitchers. So, 34/64 overall.

I am surprised but happy at the number of whites. I wish there were more white positions players, but I will take it.

My daughter and I have attended 4 minor league games this year, two AAA and two single A games. To the best of my ability to keep track of the players the single-A games were almost 75% Hispanic and the AAA games were a surprising 51% white. The Durham Bulls had the most whites on their roster when we attended their game with Memphis. I love baseball and I love having my daughter back in my after a 30-year separation.

Happy to see Skenes made it as well as Jackson Merrill (21 years old), and Bryan Reynolds.
No doubt the AL would've had another starter in Trout had he not been injured. Tucker and Harper are injured as well. Don't know if they'll actually play or not?

White pitchers at the top of their game, as usual, for the All-Star lineups.

Christian Yelich has a Japanese grandfather, so I guess feel free to go with him.

Sean Burrough's death has been ruled an accidental fentanyl overdose. Fentanyl deaths have largely been swept under the rug since the Presidential race has taken over the news cycle. I guess it's because mostly white kids are dying.
