Cardinals 2B Nolan Gorman is having a strong start to the year - .300/5 HR/18 RBI

another early season positive development is Cody Bellinger - hopefully he gets back to MVP form in Chicago - currently batting .301 w/ 5 HRs 14 RBIs and 3 stolen bases.

I always thought that before adding new rules they should enforce the ones they had. Like stepping out of the batter La box and getting called out for instance?

I also think they ban batting gloves and arm protection. Half or more of the bs slowdown is related to phantom re-tightening of these pieces of equipment that frankly were rare even into the mid 80s

Not that I care much about MLB. They went woke and lost me but the game itself needs to be moved along.
I am a Red Sox fan and the most annoying thing retired player Dustin Pedroia would do is readjust his batting gloves after every pitch even when he didn't swing. And why does every pitcher always wear that gaudy oversized necklace like that's really gonna stop the batter from seeing the pitch coming.

Mike Trout with a big game. He had a homerun, 3 runs batted in and was 2 for 5 today. He now has his
average back to a nice 306 average for the season. Too bad the Angels lost but pitching did them in again!

Shout it out because Trout is back without a doubt!

So after yesterdays game I was interested to see how he would do today. How did Mike Trout do you ask?

All he did was go 3-4 with another monster homerun and 1 rbi. Would have prefered more runners on but hey I
will take it. Trout is on fire lately! His batting average is now 329 with 5 homers and 13 runs batted in. Slow start
but no longer. Keep it up Money Mike! Here is his homerun from yesterday.

Trout always has these small (dozen or so games) slumps each season… what is encouraging is his BA is back over .300 where it belongs, his RBI numbers are always down slightly due to the lack of quality players around him. I still predict another 30-40 HR this year.

I think that is his floor; his ceiling is a career year, 50+ HR, over 100 RBI and atop the WAR… another MVP season.

Mike Trout getting the day off in St Louis hit his 8th HR last night to break a 4-4 tie as the Angels won against the Cardinals. It was career HR number 358 and ties him for 88th all time with Yogi Berra and Carlos Lee.

I don't believe anyone's mentioned Texas rookie 3rd baseman Josh Jung yet. He looks to be a solid contender for ROY. He hit 2 HR's last night giving him 8 on the season. He's BA: .275. OBP: .325 and SLG: .541 with 24 RBI.

Kuipers has been suspended until the A's complete their investigation. I hope he doesn't lose his job, but I would say the odds are against it.

He’s gone for ever. He spoke the magical word (or close enough to it) that distroys any White man foolish enough to speak it!

In fact they probably also fire the other White guy for being in the vicinity of the word and not doing the proper thing and murdering the blasphemer immediately.

Update on the fastest player in all of Major League Baseball. Rookie Corbin Carroll is off to a good start. He is currently
batting 301 with 5 homeruns and 11 runs batted in. In addition to his hitting he has 10 stolen bases already. The kid has ice
in his veins and plays with a maturity far beyond his age. The Arizona Diamondbacks have a gem that will be very exciting to
watch going forward. This kid hasn't even scratched his full potential yet. For a player that is only 5'10 and 165lbs he really can
hit the long ball better than most anticipated.

Trout continues to play rather poorly (by his standards) the first quarter of the season… he has a had a few big games followed by prolonged slumps.

Statistically, he is the 3rd best player in his own dugout now…

He really needs to turn things up to keep the chase up for the all-time status.

After about 3 weeks without one, Trout hit HR number 9 this evening!

Finally. So happy to hear this! I followed some of the game yesterday and he had 2 strikeouts and no hits. Hoping he breaks out of his
slump in a big way. I think he might need contacts or something. Many times your eyes could be just a little damaged and it may not
effect you in everyday life but try hitting 90 to 100mph fastballs along with curves, sinkers and sliders. It will hurt your performance.

I remember many players in the 30's getting their eye sight fixed and then seeing a huge difference in their hitting!

Geez Trout will come along, baseball players are streaky, 40 hr guys don’t hit one out every 4 games like clockwork, .300 hitters don’t make 7 outs and get 3 hits. This guy will probably go on a tear and end up near where he always ends up.

Money Mike Trout hit his 12 home run tonight. It was a 2 run homer and it's only the 4th inning. Maybe he can hit another. He
is only 2 homers behind Aaron Judge at the moment just for comparison.

Very encouraging to see he has broken out of his slump. Here’s hoping he keeps things up and gets back atop the leaderboards where he belongs.
