Yes two cards and as far as I can tell only the Polish veteran is the only White male fighter on the two cards. I could watch the DAZN card but I do not expect a win from Sulecki as he probably does not have the power to hurt the Mexican American prospect but he could expose him with his tricky style.

I happened to catch the Sulecki fight and he seemed game for a round or 2 but ended up looking every bit of a veteran fighter who is fading on the downward trend of his career. His opponent, heavily hyped Pacheco, didn’t look like a fighter with world class potential, but in the end he was able to stop Sulecki with a pretty good body shot.

Yes this sums up the fight as the Pole has seen better days and was fighting a division up from his prime division. As for Pachecho he will be going from the shallow end of a pool to the ocean without any life vests if he fights anything close to a prime Alvarez in a mandatory fight. He still has not had a chin check or had his stamina tested.

PS Monster Inoue fights on Tuesday morning and he fighting Irish veteran TJ Doheny in a 122 pound undisputed title fight in Japan. This is a tough assignment for the Irishman based out of Australia as nobody has seriously hurt or been competitive with the Japanese sensation but in the last fight of Inoue he suffered a flash knockdown before he pummeled his opponent in submission.

There has been talk of an Inoue vs Tank fight as the crown prince of Saudi Arabia has proposed the bout but this similar to Crawford fighting Alvarez seems more fantasy than reality as Inoue would have to jump 3 divisions to fight Davis as 135 pounds.

Updating the Inoue fight and once Inoue had a feel for his Irish opponent it was largely one way traffic until Doheny retired due to back spasms early in the 7th round.

Similar to Tank and many other fighters he will throw away rounds while gauging his opponents tendencies and then slowly start breaking down his opponents.

During the broadcast the announcing team pitched Bam Rodriguez for Inoue and this makes more sense then Inoue jumping to make a super fight with Tank Davis as the Mexican American star will only be going up 7 pounds and judging by the size disparity from Tuesday morning, Inoue could meet Bam at a catchweight around 120 quite comfortably.

Purse demands should not hold up this fight as a Saudi backed fight would set a record for weight divisions in the range of this proposed fight.

This is a slow weekend for boxing as all I have seen are club level shows in England and North America. DAZN had a card tonight with Ivan Redkach as a b side opponent to Jose Zepeda.

I missed the Quebec card from Thursday but both Chechen fighters easily beat their opponents and could probably get an upgrade of opponents in their next bouts as these fights were essentially live gym sparring sessions.

Probably the biggest news of the week was the crown prince of Saudi Arabia stated he wanted to drastically reduce the North American PPV price points to reduce piracy. This would be a welcome reprieve for the fans of the sport who are the only fans of major sporting events that have to pay live ticket prices for televised sports. Nobody has mentioned that Canelo Alvarez has a PPV this weekend against Edgar Berlanger. The various sports books have odds from 16 to 1 to upwards of 20 to 1 for Alvarez. At 20 to 1 Berlanger is a live dog IMO that pays 9.5 to 1, I know there is a wide gulf in experience and accomplishments but Berlanger is a naturally larger man who has a perfect ledger to this point so he will not be in survival mode from the first bell like Charlo was.

A similar undercard bout has Caleb Plant fighting unproven Trevor McCumby for the interim WBA strap at 168 pounds. I could repeat my views on this as the fight seems like poor man's version of the main event.

Mccumby could be a live underdog against Plant. If I remember correctly he was on his way up the ranks but popped positive for PEDs which set his career back several years. Should be a good fight unless Mccumby folds like Mike Lee did against Plant.

As for Canelo/Berlanga, I’m not sure how much Berlanga will have to offer Canelo, but his size should carry him into later rounds.

I was never a big fan of Garcia so I haven’t really followed his career much. His mental issue was brought up in the post fight ring interview so he may be struggling with something right now. Either way it was a terrible performance and he clearly didn’t want to be there. Maybe time to hang em up.

Mccumby surprised Plant and took it to him until the 5th or 6th when Plant figured out he could smother Mccumby in the corner and he wouldn’t have an answer for it. I see potential in Mccumby if he can learn from this loss and get himself in shape to fight a full 12 rounds. But in the end I’m glad to see Plant get the TKO, even if he’s a bit of a wigger.

Canelo/Berlanga needs no recap as it was exactly what I think we all thought it would be. A beating by Canelo with enough power to exert dominance but not enough to put his opponent away. Berlanga is a big 168 guy and I’m sure he can continue to have some success but I don’t think we’ll ever see him emerge as an elite.

All in all some decent fights, the best being Mccumby vs Plant. I’d like to see both those white warriors continue to fight and do well.

Also worth noting on the Friday card, heavyweight Richard Torrez Jr takes on durable but beatable Joey Dawejko. This will be another test to see where Torrez is at. He is half hispanic I believe, but so far he's been a pretty exciting prospect in a sea of blackness that has become American heavyweight boxing. He should beat Dawejko, but the real question is how easily can he beat him. An early to mid round stoppage would be my prediction as Dawejko is on the back half of his career and has probably seen better days.

All in all a decent lineup of fights for this weekend. I won't probably catch the Friday card, but I'm gonna try to watch the Saturday one as there are a lot of good white fighters and some caste match ups.

White is right, I asked my son to post the fight schedule while I was out of town, but he didn't. I will get it this week.

It is no problem as we all are volunteers here. Regarding last night Torrez Jr. probably faced the best Dawejko I have seen in terms of fitness and mobility in the ring. If the Polish American had this dedication a decade ago he probably would have won a few of his cross roads bouts that he seemed to lose down the stretch.

Torrez easily handled the rare power shots of the veteran and was starting to tattoo the veteran when he started having gum shield issues and was eventually disqualified because he dropped his gumshield half a dozen times when the prospect landed combinations on his face which was bleeding because of the punches.

After the fight was stopped Ramirez Jr. was asked by the reporter if he was now a contender. IMO he is still a prospect as he still has not scheduled a ten rounder and has not faced even a Charles Martin type which is the minimum a prospect needs to be viewed as a contender.

I was only in and out on the main event as Jaime Munguia stopped a game but in the end out gunned Erik Bazinyan who at times out boxed the Mexican star but never had the power to truly hurt the Mexican and seemed to be fading when a counter punch stunned him badly and a follow up combination caused him to take the count on one knee.

Regarding this afternoon the IBF Super Featherweight title fight is a good looking scrap between an Irishman and White Brit and Willie Hutchinson is the B side against Buatsi for an interim world belt of some sort. Josh Kelly fights an undefeated prospect too so this super card has many White contenders and prospects.

The main event will probably boil down to what Dubois can take and if he has the stamina to forge on after taking the power shots that recent Joshua opponents have crumbled to the deck or have been rescued by their corners.

PS the IBF Super Featheweight title is not on the line between Cacace and Worthington but the bout is still scheduled at 130 pounds . A bit of gleam has gone off this gem of a bout when I heard this...

Good on Dubois. To me he's the more humble fighter and has suffered a couple punishing losses. Many fighters fade away after losing as he did but he stuck to it and came back old school. The Hock gives credit where due.

Where does he go from here? A couple easy onesmaybe. If there is such a thing with his history.

Regarding the White fighters on the card Josh Padley scored a huge upset in the opening bout of the super card by dropping Mark Chamberlain once and out boxing the betting favorite I missed this one and caught most of the preliminary bouts on a silent screen as US college football dominated my Saturday afternoon.

Chamberlain was probably a fight away from a world level bout but after this shock he may need to right this wrong to advance to world level opponent.

Josh Kelly struggled with his late replacement foe but at the end of the day seemed to clearly out point his opponent but I only saw this on a silent screen while mostly watching college football. If the scoring was accurate this was a step back for Kelly as this bout was to be a showcase bout not a 50 vs 50 battle.

Willy Hutchinson was game until the final bell but was dropped twice with body shots and seemed to be on the brink of being stopped twice but rode out barrages by Buatsi to pepper the favorite. A bizarre split decision was announced but the score cards that favored Buatsi because of the knockdowns and Hutchinson losing a point for a foul seemed to be right to me.

Buatsi should be easy work for the undisputed winner unless both fighters wreck each other as he does not have the power to stop Beterbiev nor the boxing ability to beat Bivol.

Anthony Cacace pounded out a wide decision over Josh Warrington as he looked too powerful and maybe too vigorous maybe this was why the IBF refused to sanction the bout.

As for the main event the nursey rhyme of Humpty Dumpty comes to mind with saying all of Hearn's PEDs and men could not put Anthony Joshua back together again.

What a disaster, I knew he had a weak chin but he has been boxing for 15+ years and he gets caught with a long suckers right hand that dropped him in the first round and after that he was on vapors.

The British promoters kept on trotting multiple time loser Frank Bruno as a cannon fodder opponent for various World Champions but England at the time had nobody else at the world level. England now may have the deepest depth in the open division there is no need for this charade.

Short of winning a rematch violently Joshua is one step away from look as irrelevant as Wilder does in 2024....

PS the crown prince has made the fight available to all to see so there is no point in searching for a pirate copy...

This weekend seems to have a sparse amount of North American based White male prospects with only Vito Mielnicki Jr fighting on the undercard of an all White female title bout.

The British cards have a plethora of White prospects and a few fringe contenders in Maxie Hughes and Hughie Fury having bouts.

Note the Don King PPV card that had an all White WBC cruiserweight title fight is off due to the card being cancelled. Supposedly King was sick and does not have any serious succession plan in the works for his promotional outfit for his inevitable demise so it was implied the plug was pulled for this reason.

I hope the King controlled fighters can leave the promotional company at the time of his demise and do not have to go to court to win their emancipation from their contracts.

Also the Johnny Fisher main event was cancelled due to his injury a few weeks ago.

He is an underdog against unified Eurasian champion Janibek Alimkhanuly. He has a further glimmer of hope in that Alimkhanuly could not make weight in his last fight and might have problems this Friday too which could weaken him. If the Kazakh national fails to make weight this week again he will probably vacate his two titles and move up to 168 pounds.

I wonder if the Aussie promoters have a fighter on ice to fight the Russian national if these problems arise again for the Kazakh.
