A bunch of cards this weekend and really only on Friday are White boxers the A side on the fight cards, less Johnathan Guidry on the sham WBA regular heavyweight title fight card. Bakhodir Jalolov fights in a probable cannon fodder fight against obscure Jack Muloway. So far nobody has gone the distance with the Azeri gold medalist and it would probably be a win for the obscure African to hear the final bell after 8 rounds.

On Saturday Guidry will fight an obscure obese club fighter named Dacarree Scott who is a Buster Mathis Jr clone who is roughly the same height as Guidry. Don't ask me to say who is going to win this one as Guidry largely counter punched against Bryan in his paper title belt challenge.

Another Saturday night card has former junior middleweight champion Jaime Munguia fighting Jimmy Kelly. Kelly is the B side and isn't a puncher who is going up against a murderous puncher at 154, Jaime also has home town cooking probably helping as he probably lost a title fight to Dennis Hogan who seemed to out work him but was given the B side treatment by the judges in Mexico.

PS, the main event of the King card has Bryan vs Dubois for the WBA regular title but the winner really is the number 1 contender for whomever emerges from the dust of the Usyk vs Joshua II fight and the probably unification fight with Fury. The card is a PPV in North America for 30 US but in England as far as I know it's free on BT sports. Don King who looks dusty can still talk a good game and even dedicated this fight to the Ukrainian people. This from a man who was convicted for stomping a man to death over a gambling debt...
 
Watching the fight from last night on a pirate copy on Youtube, Jalolov is ready for better opponents than what he fought yesterday. At one point the African based out of Belgium never landed a non jab and that was around the 5th round. Jalolov is ready for a tough cookie club fighter like Joey Daweko or a faded former contender or champion in the division. At 6'7" and 250 pounds he has good size and boxing ability he looks like a smooth boxing southpaw who is going to be a problem for any contender in the division if he doesn't fall apart with his first chin check, he also had one punch ko power too as he took out his opponent with one shot in last round.

PS if any posters can find a feed for the King promoted card the PPV is an afternoon PPV that has the main event starting apx at 5:45 EST.

Updating the cards for the day Johnathan Guidry won his bout by spectacular ko over his rapidly tiring opponent. Guidry won the NABA Gold title(whatever that means), this could set him up to shoot up in the WBA rankings and possibly get a shot at the regular title in x fights.

As for the main event Bryan resembled veteran character actor Leonard Earl Howze who played a retarded athlete in The Ringer and he basically fought like a Special Olympian against Dubois. Dubois looked as mechanical as ever but he has power and took out the awful and obese Bryan. Dubois would get white washed by Fury and would need to get lucky again Usyk so Warren will milk this title and could sign the suddenly useful Lucas Browne for a first defense.

Jimmy Kelly was flattened by Jaime Munguia but not before he out boxed the wild slugger for 4 rounds and made him look foolish. In the 5th round he walked into a bomb and had a delayed reaction crash to the canvas. After that his equilibrium was off and crashed similarly two more times and the referee stopped the fight with Kelly not looking good on his feet but having clear eyes.

Note I missed White Mexican Oscar Duarte(not to be confused by the soccer player with the same name) who looks like he could be a useful prospect and will need to be monitored in the future.

Batyr Akhmedov will face Afro Dominican Alberto Puello for the newly vacant belt. He is a Russian based Eurasian out of Uzbekistan who has been based out of the US for his recent fights and has a controversial points loss in WBA regular title fight.

In the 4 belt era if each governing body has an agenda it's near impossible to retain all 4 belts as a fighter can only be in one place at one time. Taylor doesn't have that 'American privilege in boxing' that the likes of Charlo's, Wilder, Spence, Haney have.

Bakhram Murtazaliev( Russia) has been Jermell Charlos mandatory for years and still Jermell hasn't been stripped and there's no sign of Murtazaliev getting his shot anytinlne soon. It was was the same when Kudratillo Abdukakhorov was Spences mandatory, and Dillian Whyte for Wilder. Luke Campbell got shafted by the WBC whereas Haney got everything given to him on a plate

Judging superficially from his record he looks like a decent ESPN level fighter(the old level of ESPN) but every time he stepped up to fringe world level he was stopped or lost on points. The only name fighter that I recognize that he beat is Marvin Camel who is the first cruiserweight world champion in boxing history. He's also half Black and Native American and entered the ring in a Native American attire (I think he is half Black Foot). But at the time of the victory Camel was on the skids and descended to a name opponent collecting pay cheques.

I wonder if his death is due to underworld activity as many boxers when their careers are over have been used as muscle by organized crime groups. Being of at least partial Italian ancestry it wouldn't be a stretch that he could have been involved with a Florida organized crime group.

Now seems to be as good a time as ever to do a weekend round up.

The first fight of the weekend involving Briedas defending his IBF cruiserweight against fairly obscure Samoan(really Eurasian) Australian Jai Opetaia. I thought this would be a white wash until I looked up the odds at an online book and Briedas was less than a 2 to 1 favorite to beat his opponent. With odds like this I figured that Opetaia would be a live dog and could get home town cooking in a tight fight similar to the Hornet with Pacman a few years ago. After watching a pirate copy on Youtube it seems like the right fighter was given the decision but Briedas seemed to give the fight away as much as the challenger won the fight as the veteran champion didn't go for the knockout until he couldn't win on points on the score cards. Briedas seemed to be a good combination away from knocking out the challenger in the 11th and 12th rounds but couldn't find perfect punch to start up the finishing combination. A rematch should be in order and if Briedas starts off the rematch in a faster gear he may pull out the victory.

In the afternoon Christian Hammer was beaten from pillar to post less some chin check right hands that didn't faze the so far iron chinned Mulatto Joe Joyce until the referee showed mercy on the veteran fighter after the 3rd knockdown of the 4th round and stopped the fight without a count. Joyce will stay as the mandatory of the winner of Usyk vs Joshua II.

PS just before the weekend Taylor was stripped of another 140 pound title and will now vacate the WBC title and now only holds the WBO and IBF belts. He is rumored to be negotiating to fight Jack Catterall in a highly anticipated rematch of their controversial first fight.

This fight was on the undercard of the Briedas fight. A scary-looking ko.
 
This fight was on the Joyce vs Hammer undercard. Cunningham was down a good 5 minutes. A poor job by the ref by letting it continue.

It starts at 515 PM EST I almost missed this one as British fights usually start at 6PM EST. Chisora entered the ring to Elvis Presley muisc, similar to Presley on his comeback tour in Hawaii this could be the last roundup for him...

After 3 rounds I have to 2 to 1 Pulev. He seems to be timing Chisora now and sees what he is doing but as with any heavyweight fight one punch can change the fight.

After 6 rounds I have it 4 to 2 Pulev he sees what Chisora is throwing and is basically boxing him from the outside and grabbing in the close quarter fighting.

Chisora probably won the 7th as he cut and seemed to outwork Pulev so it's 4 to 3 on my card for Pulev.

I missed the 8th and 9th round so my scoring is off but Pulev won the 11th so it could be draw or a narrow win for either fighter.

The judges scored it a weird split decision 8 to 4 in rounds with two judges for Chisora and one for Pulev.

Kubrat Pulev deserved to win today 116-112, but I didn't expect him to get the decision in the UK over the woman-beater Chisora.

I found it weird that Pulev fought a few hybrid boxing/MMA fights since the Joshua loss but when they mentioned his age on the broadcast, now it makes sense as we was becoming a pay cheque fighter as once guys turn 40 and they are independent of a major promoter they chase fights.

Chisora has been chasing fights for years as he has been the B side in every fight he has been in at the world or near world level since Fury vs Chisora I. Chisora talked about being the B side of a Wilder comeback fight and I supsect Warren would give Chisora a low ball offer to fight paper champion Dubois for his WBA regular belt.

Showtime has a card tonight with a White prospect, contender on the comeback and in the semifinal bout Adam Kownacki in a do or die cross roads bout against a Turkish opponent who fights a similar style to the Polish-American brawler.

Vito Mielnicki fights somebody named Jimmy Williams on a free Youtube fight. When a blue chip prospect is on an under card bout usually it's a squash fight but Mielnicki has lost to a cute club fighter type. I suspect the PBC match maker won't make that mistake again and Williams should be a face first fighter.

Sergiy Derevyanchenko is fighting Joshua Conley. Again it's another obscure fighter and a loss here would all but end any chances to get in a big fight without some sort of miracle run, where prospect after prospect are beaten by the "Mechanic". This fight is the headliner of the Youtube portion of the card.

In the semifinal bout for the card Kownacki fights large brawling Turk Ali Eren Demirezen. The Turk has a similar style to failed prospect from the early 2000's Samil Sam. This fight could steal the show if Adam still has his chin in tact and fights at the high volume he used to. The Kownacki who defeated Arreola would probably beat the Turk but after so many wars with various PBC B side guys and the two losses to Helenius you have to wonder what Adam has left chin wise. Another loss and Adam himself will become a B side PBC guy similar Washington and various other PBC guys.

Note Kownacki weighed in at 251 and change and the Turk was 262 and change so Adam is the lighter guy for this cross roads bout.

One down two to go as Mielnicki teed off on his limited cannon fodder opponent and forced a stoppage with Williams on his feet but taking a frightful beating. I don't know what Vito will learn from this fight beyond the basics of pacing and placing punches with the lights on and fans cheering. Williams to his credit was always there fighting with his limited tool box.

Two down and one to go as the Mechanic pulled out a clinical beat down of his club fight opponent. After four rounds the fight was about even and Sergiy swept the remaining rounds on the score cards and had his opponent hanging on at points of the fight.

In the semifinal the Turk outworked and battered Kownacki after the first two round but Adam took a pounding and gave ground but didn't go down. In the end the scores were 6 rounds to 4 and two score cards were 7 rounds to 3 all unanimous to the Turk.

Kownacki while not shot has to go back to the drawing board as this opponent was tailor made for him and he still couldn't get the win.

Negro "British" Olympic silver medalist Whittaker won against a handpicked opponent. If you hear him talk and see how he behaves in ring, I don't know how any English person supports him.

Main event went our way as Chris Smith got the nod versus Chamberlain to defend European and Commonwealth titles

hes mixed raced (half white), but yeah he's annoying af, I think he'll be hated here in the UK with that cringe personality and style.

Pat Mccormack - also a Olympic silver medalist fought on the same night, But his fight didn't even end up being shown on TV. Mccormack is a big talent but it was huge mistake signing with Probellum.

 
Michael Conlan fights Miguel Marriaga this Saturday, coming off of a TKO loss to Leigh Wood.
