Mike Trout becomes the youngest player to reach 100 stolen bases and 100 homeruns at 23 years and 253 days. Alex Rodriquez was the previous record holder at 23 years and 309 days.

Trout was 2 for 4 last night with 2 HR's and 5 RBI. Giving him 101 HR's and 104 SB's.

How could that be possible. We all know that the media tells us only a guy like a Ricky Henderson can acheive such a thing. Lol. This kid is the most exciting player in baseball. Amazing talent!

What irks me are tribal sportswriters who keep trying to tell everyone how much better Giancarlo Stanton is. I remember one article - recent - in which the writer (one of the usual suspects) was gushing over Stanton being beyond a doubt the best young player and hitter in baseball, and he managed to never mention Trout once. Trout's melanin content is obviously too low.

Trout slowly moving up the stat sheet!

He now leads the league in Runs: 1st 22, OBP. 2nd .441, SLG. 3rd .619, HR. T4 6, OPS. 4th 1.060, and

batting .333, T-10. Oh yeah, T-5 in stolen bases with 6 and hasn't been caught this year.

T-10, 6 in doubles.

He's in the top 10 in 8 of the 11 major categories. I'm not sure who else in the league has those stats!

.....and I don't think he's really heated up yet!

Watched him crack a homer against the Giants earlier today. He is my favorite MLB player right now. I look at what he has done at his age and shake my head. LOL. He's already so well rounded, and then I look back at my days whiffing at the plate...

Mike Trout answered "RUNNING BACK".....When asked "If you were a Football Player; what POSITION would you play; Safety or Linebacker"?

Can't locate the Spring Training Interview done on ESPN a couple months ago...but liked his answer...at 6'-2" 230 he can fly! Wonder what his 40 time is?? Would love to see him play RB in the NFL...but seriously doubt they would allow it...probably move him to Middle Linebacker...

Easy to be an Angels fan because of Mike Trout!

Part of the reason why White Americans continue to remain the majority of stars in MLB, much to the consternation of the anti-White U.S. establishment, is because the Caste System drives them from football and basketball to other sports like baseball.

Don't know if that's the case with Trout, but between the "baseball academies" that have been established solely to recruit and develop urban (black) baseball players and foreign ones (Dominicans, etc.) but not in rural (White) areas, everything is being done to spread the Caste System to baseball, with limited success. Blacks just aren't that good at baseball, and the black talent pool is already spread very thin propping up the Caste System in football and basketball.

I have no doubt that Mike Trout could be a successful tailback in the NFL if he had chosen that route and been given the same opportunities that black RBs get from the peewee level on.

In many rural white communities (at least in the South) there's football, basketball, and "ball". Everyone plays ball. The various kids play everything else from lacrosse to fencing to wrestling to golf, but literally everyone starts out playing ball. Ball needs no introduction.

Whites are often spread thin, even where they are the majority. Anyone think that John McEnroe couldn't have been a good boxer? I knew a complete spoiled brat all_American tennis player in high school who could have been an outstanding running back or corner. The guy went to college on a tennis scholarship. Not a bad move.

Blacks play football, basketball, run track, and used to box. That's it. VERY little lacrosse, soccer, wrestling, tennis, golf, baseball, skiing, hockey, fencing, volleyball (some do, but limited, and mostly girls if they do), triathlons, power lifting, Olympic weightlifting, or anything that isn't football, basketball, or track (not so much field events).

Is that still true for the young kids? I noticed at the construction of the last couple of charter schools that there were no baseball diamonds but soccer fields. The softball diamonds that I played on for years and years have been sodded over and made into soccer fields. There are huge soccer tournaments near me but I have never seen any baseball tournaments.

I know there is still a core of people that have kids that play baseball and they haul them all over the region to go to various tournaments. But I have not seen the local sandlot baseball diamond with kids playing on it for many years. I'd guess that baseball is going the way of most other sports, a specialized pursuit for kids with helicopter parents who live to take them to games, camps, tournaments, and spend lots of time and money in their kids hobby.

I think that's the trend, if not the present reality. Specializing early is a way for white parents to live through their very few children. Sandlot games are a thing of the past in most places because neighborhoods aren't safe. Too many dindus, perverts, and other undesirables are around. Soccer competes with baseball because it can be done early on. Nothing against our European posters, but soccer in the U.S. is largely pushed by leftwing *******. It's not the sport's fault that it's promoted in America by dildos, but that's the truth. Hispanic kids only play soccer. A few around here wrestle in the winter, but they are outliers.

Trout hits HR # 20 last night as well as stealing a base and making several great catches in the outfield.

Trout becomes only 6th AL player to hit at least 20 or more HR's, 4 times before the age of 24- a list that includes Mantle and Ted Williams among others...

For the second time in 3 games Mike Trout goes deep twice with HR's number 25 and 26!

Trout now is either tied or leads the AL in 5 categories!

HR's: T-1, 26
Runs: T-1, 66
TB's: 1, 196
SLG%: 1, .618
WAR: 1, 5.38

OBP: 2, 1.019
OB%: 4, .401
Hits: T-6, 98
RBI: T-7, 54
AVG.: 7, .309

Trout really starting to heat up! Hopefully, he'll continue after the All Star game. Could be looking at some career bests at the end of the season.

At 23, he's getting to the age where some of the great 5 tool players started going to another level. Guys like Mantle, Mays, ARoid, and Griffey Jr. I've already documented where he is in relation to Griffey Jr. He's way out in front of Jr. and starting to get into ARoid territory!

Yes! Trout with HR number 31. A Grand Slam! This guy is such an amazing player! Very good times in MLB.

Trout today is 3/3, 2 HR's and 5 RBI and game is not over.

Trout was scratched from the lineup for tonight's game against Houston due to a wrist injury he suffered in the first inning of Sunday's game while diving for a fly ball. He went on to go 4/4 and hit a grand slam, so I don't know what the problem is. Reports say it(his wrist) was a little stiff on Monday and he had an MRI done, but feeling better today. Hopefully, it's just precautionary and he'll be back in the lineup tomorrow.

Mike Trout in a little bit of a slump going into Friday nights game hits a HR for the 3rd time on his birthday!

Trout turned 24 yesterday, hit Homerun number 33 on the year and the 131st of his career.

How does he compare to other players at age 24? Take a look.

All time Homerun leader Barry Bonds, (762)
Trout's Homeruns at age 24, (131)
Barry Bonds HR's at age 24, (59)

All time hits leader Pete Rose, (4,256)
Trout's hits at age 24, (691)
Pete Rose's hits at age 24,(311)

All time RBI leader Hank Aaron, (2,297)
Trout's RBI's at age 24, (376)
Hank Aaron's RBI's at 24, (399)

All time total bases leader Aaron, (6,856)
Trout's total bases at 24, (1,270)
Aaron's total bases at 24, (1,243)

All time runs scored leader Rickey Henderson, (2,295)
Trout's runs scored at 24, (451)
Rickey Henderson runs at 24, (368)

All time walks leader Barry Bonds, (2,558)
Mike Trout walks by age 24, (322)
Barry Bonds walks at 24, (161)

Most of these all-time leaders set these records because they we're obviously good players, but they played for over 22 years. Trout's stats are better at this point, but the question will be; can he stay healthy and how long will he play?

Hopefully, he will be around for another 18-20 years. I would love to see him break some of these records one day!

Great write up Carolina Speed. Trout is showing himself as a once in a generation player.

As long as he stays healthy, he has a very good shot at beating at least some of those records. Does anyone here who watches baseball know why he's not stealing bases anymore?

He moved down in the order and as his power has developed it seems that they just stopped giving him the green light to steal.

After hitting 31 HR's and 2 Triples through the first of August, Mike Trout has hit 3 triples and only 2 HR's since the 1st of August.

Wow! Trout is in a real power slump. I hope he's OK. There's a lot of speculation out there right now about his wrist that he injured while diving for a fly ball back in late July.

I wouldn't worry. All the greats go through slumps. Trout is a future hall of famer without question.

Yes, finally Trout hits a HR(34) in his first AB today. His first since August 7th! Hopefully, he's starting to heat up!

Right PHillisFan! It seems Trout may be coming out of a month long slump. He was 2/3 with a Grand Slam and Solo shot and 5 RBI's last night. He has hit 5 HR's in the last 10-11 days. His 37th and 38th HR's set new career highs for him.

Despite the slump Trout remains in the top 5 statistically in most major AL categories, including leading the AL in OPS.

If he can remain hot, he may just eek out a second MVP!
