As much as I hate some of the criticism coming Leinart's way, I also believe the ball is in his court a little bit. Similar to the way Aaron Rodgers took over the Packers after Favre and never looked back, the best way Leinart can shut up everyone is by performing well. I'm hearing some reports that the Cardinals may give the starting job to Anderson, so we'll see.

Worst case, Leinart can always start somewhere else fresh, as he's young enough. After all, even AHDIW was on the bench for nearly a year and a half and it took a horrible 0-6 start to the year last season to give him the job back.

The difference is that Rodgers was truly allowed to take over his team's offense; he was clearly going to be the man forhis entire first season as the starter and likely at least one more after that to prove himself. Leinart plays three so-so series in a preseason game and is crucified, even though his sumo o-line is below average and neither Boldin (traded) nor Fitzgerald (injured) were playing. This is a Heisman Trophy winner and first round draft pick who isn't getting anything remotely close to a fair opportunity.
And it's not as if Derek Anderson is the people's choice; he's also loathed by the Caste media and its DWF clapping seals, just not as much as is Leinart. This isfirst and foremost a get Matt Leinart witchhunt.

The terrible offensive line play is really swept under the rug as is the lack of any running game while Leinart was playing. Derek Anderson has a big arm but lacks accuracy. Larry Fitzgerald is a top tier receiver in the league but they have no running game or other real receiving threats. Max Komar has shown promise but does not play with the first team. Neither Hightower nor the highly Overrated Chris Wells have shown any real strength in the running game.

Yes Don, my assessment would only be true if Leinart is given the keys to the team for a full year, no questions asked, and let's see what happens. The non-commital, wishy-washy way in which Ken Wisenhunt has handled this matter has been embarrasing on his part. I think the issue comes down to confidence and trust. For some odd reason, Wisenhunt doesn't appear to have that trust, and it's grossly unfair to Leinart. A change of scenery may be the best option at this point, heck, with Hasselbeck on his last legs and Whitehurst still an unproven commodity, why not Seattle and a re-unification with this old college coach? It's a bit of a tough sell being that they are division rivals, but it may be the best solution for Leinart if he's screwed over in AZ this season.

Personally, I don't this Leinhart is that great of a QB, but we'll see. He certainly ought to get a good chance to shine this year. He's been able to hold a clip board for one of the best QB's ever, you know, the supposedly "washed up" HOF/stock boy. Now, he should get his shot this year. He certainly deserves it. I'd like to see him succeed.

Leinart's preseason stats so farin 2010? 19 of 23 (82.6% completion percentage) for 161 yards, 1 TD pass, 0 interceptions, quarterback rating 110.3.

In the one preseason game from 2009 I could find stats for, Leinart went 24 of 38 for 360 yards with 3 TDs and 1 pick against Green Bay. Truly, even for the Caste System and the anti-White self-loathing that animates this culture, the campaign to destroy Matt Leinart before he even gets a fair chance in the regular seasonis one of themost patheticever.Edited by: Don Wassall

I agree with you Don. He has only had very limited opportunity so far. He has been very good apparently in pre-seasons, but both good and bad in the regular season in these limited chances. Hopefully he'll get a legit shot this year and next. If he were black, even if they pulled him this year for a veteran while trying to make a run at the playoffs, he'd certainly be back with the Cards next year. He'd probably resurface somewhere for the next 3 or 4 years in the NFL getting chance after chance and only disappear if he was truly awful ie. what it appears is happening and may conclude this way with Tarvaris Jackson.

I agree completely with Don- the campaign to end Leinart's career, and affix that white-only "bust" label to him, is almost unprecedented. Only Cade McNown's situation was probably worse.

The double standard here is about as glaring as possible. Jason Campbell was given four straight years as unquestioned starter in Washington, with no competition ever allowed. Kind of like Kordell Stewart's unlimited chances a decade before that. Byron Lefwich was the unquestioned starter for at least 3 years or so, and was only replaced by another black, David Garrard, who has also been given years to start with no competition allowed. Even now, with Luke McNown clearly outplaying him, and his obvious limitations at the position, he remains entrenched as a starter. Josh Freeman was simply atrocious as a rookie in Tampa Bay- flashing none of the potential that Heath Shuler, Cade McNown, Brady Quinn, Matt Leinart, etc. have flashed in their very limited chances. He is the unquestioned starter this season, and no matter how poorly he plays, he will be given at least another year with no pressure from any competitor. Michael Vick was horrific for years, and had Matt Schaub watching from the sidelines, but only his dog fighting business ended his starting career in Atlanta.

Now for the white QBs. Heath Shuler was never given the job with the Redskins. He had to look over his shoulder at Frerotte from the very beginning. Cade McNown, despite flashing more potential than almost any young QB in recent memory, was constantly vilified in the media, no matter what he did. This is a guy who threw for 275 yards in the second half (entered the game at half time), in his first ever NFL appearance. I watched that game, and the announcers never said one word about the phenomenal, unprecedented performance he put on. Jim Miller was competing with him during his entire, short tenure with the Bears. Brady Quinn has been given what, 10 NFL starts, scattered over three seasons? Always with Derek Anderson competing with him. He is already a "bust" in the brainless world the DWFs inhabit. Matt Leinart held the NFL rookie record for passing yards in a game, believe it or not, until Matt Stafford broke it last season. As noted, he has never been given the job for even a single uninterrupted season. Do you really think his USC backup, Matt Cassel, is a better QB than Leinart? Cassel is actually being given more of a chance to succeed.

There are numerous other examples, but the point is obvious. Even the few white QBs given a few years to start- Tim Couch, David Carr and Joey Harrington spring instantly to mind- were unfairly judged. They all played for awful teams, with porous offensive lines, and still managed to display plenty of ability. Alex Smith was already being labeled a "bust" when he was given a half season last year, and despite having his impressive performance all but ignored by the jock sniffers, appears relatively safe as a starter now (especially with the far more despised Carr as his backup). And there are a few black QBs who weren't given unlimited chances. Akili Smith, for instance, really wasn't given many games to start, and played for a woeful team as well. Stil, overall the trend is clear, and the favoritism black QBs receive is so obvious that everyone should see it.

I like how Leinart followed Saby Piscatelli's lead, and bitterly complained about his situation. It's about time that these unfairly treated white players start publicly mouthing off. I sense that the situation is reaching the boiling point for many of these guys. No matter how brainwashed they are, they have to realize what's going on.

It would also be nice to hear Kurt Warner speak up for Leinart.

Matt Leinart met with Ken Whisenhunt Monday afternoon to discuss Leinart's problems with his head coach.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain">
Leinart suggested that the reason for his benching was due to issues
not related to performance. The reality is Leinart has not demonstrated
the ability to execute Arizona's vertical passing attack. Despite his
accuracy shortcomings, Derek Anderson is simply a better fit for the
Cardinals' system.

I'm guessing this is the leagues way of being "racially balanced." After all Jamarcus Russell was a colossal bust so they have to make one white qb a scapegoat so the bruthas won't cry racism.

Bigunreal makes some great points. I disagree, a bit, about Tim Couch. I know someone who's son was a practice squad player with the Colts a few years back. He told me when the Colts wanted to sign Couch and cut one of the otherQB's (both white), Peyton marched up to Polian's office and said something like "are you crazy". Couch had a soft rep around the league. He cried after he was booed once and like Leinart he was tagged as being "a party-boy" because he was married to a ex-Playboy model....overall, however, I get the sense from this person that his reputation was only a minor problem. Real problem was he had a very serious arm injury, which the media never mentions when they label him a huge bust.Just like Steve Emtman and Mike Mamula are both the posterboys fordefensive busts, even though both never stayed healthy. Couch tried a comeback around 2004, but his idiot agent had him sign with James Harris' Jags. He was soon banned for roids (to help his arm heal?) anyway and was gone.

Much like Couch, Leinart has the reputation for being soft and being a party-boy -- makes him a easy target for the media and the DWF's, who despise strong, confident white athletes.

Personally, just as an aside, I'm not a big fan of his off-field activities -- I know someone who's brother lives in Hollywood and he's seen Matt drunk in bars quite a few times. Also, I'm not sure why he dumped his classy, pretty blonde college girlfriend and young son** (which has been TMZ fodder for years) to chase after theReality TV skanks the Marxists have propped up to poison our minds, but that's his business. Seems like when a guy like Antonio Cromartie has 7 kids with 6 different women, it funny....when a Leinart refuses to marry his college sweetheart, he's instant garbage.

Two types of White quarterbacks seem to be despised more than others. One is the "California surfer boy" type exemplified by Leinart, Cade McNown, Kyle Boller, Rob Johnson and others. They seem to have everything going for them and are too "laid back" about it, which enrages the easily directed White masses.

The other type is the "Southern hick," with Eli Manning and Philip Rivers being recent prototypes. Manning in particular was the butt of endless "inbred" jokes early in his career. There's certainly no shortage of Peyton Manning haters either. Going back a ways, Terry Bradshaw was mercilessly ridiculed for his accent in Pittsburgh and was thought of everywhere as "dumb." Ironically the one person most identified with creating that reputation was a black player on the Cowboys -- Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson -- a member of a race not exactly identified with cerebral excellence. One of Henderson's lines was that Bradshaw couldn't spell the word "cat" even if he was spotted the "c" and the "a." The Cultural Marxistmedia, as anti-White then as it is now, loved it.

Matt Jonesfits both categories, as he'svery laid back and Southern, which undoubtedly has contributed to the national hatefest directed at him since the day he was drafted in the first round by Jacksonville.Edited by: Don Wassall

This is definitely true and extends way past the quarterback position. JJ Redick anyone?

I don't usually listen to the national sports radio talking heads, but today I caught a few minutes of the Cowherd show. I think the fill in host was black, I don't remember his name. Anyway, he was saying that Matt Leinart had not been given anywhere near a fair chance to become the starter in Arizona. He played a clip of a Kurt Warner interview where Warner said he didn't understand what the coaches were doing and that he thought Leinart had been treated wrongly throughout this whole ordeal. I don't know all the ins and outs, but I do agree that Matt Leinart has been shafted.

It looks like Derek Anderson will be the starter in Arizona. I predicted that a month ago. I always thought Anderson was a good quarterback and in Arizona he will have a decent offense to work with. Max Hall and John Skelton have supposedly looked impressive as well.

Don,
Do you remember the CBS pregame show before Super Bowl X? This was in January 1976, 3 years before Hollywood Henderson's act at Super Bowl XIII.

Joe Namath and Burt Reynolds spent about 10 minutes doing Terry Bradshaw jokes. In other words, how dumb Bradshaw was. It was worse than what Henderson said. Much, much worse.

Some people back in Louisiana called CBS with angry protests, believe it or not. After the game, Namath came on and apologized, sort of. With his trademark grin, Broadway Joe said the jokes at Bradshaw's expense were "all in fun" and that "Terry is a great athlete and quarterback."

Burt Reynolds publically apologized to Bradshaw on the Johnny Carson show, I believe. He and Bradshaw became friendly and were in a few movies together.

Now, can you imagine if Namath and Reynolds had made "dumb" jokes about James Harris (then the Ram starting QB) or Joe Gilliam?

One of my faults is that certain things stick with me. It was nearly 35 years ago, but I remember this incident vividly.

Our good pal "Chucky" had this to say about Matt Leinart. From Rotoworld:

ESPN's Jon Gruden denounced Matt Leinart Wednesday for not taking advantage of his prime opportunities in the NFL.
<div>
"He's clearly been average," said Gruden. "He hasn't been a guy who's
really taken control and choked the opportunity that's been given to
him, and obviously there's something missing there." Jonny Sunshine
criticizes players with extreme reluctance, so it's notable that he's
willing to publicly knock Leinart.

Yet we never hear this self-hating white criticize any of the affletes who have lengthy criminal records and can't even show up to camp in shape.

There may be some truth to the fact that Wisenhunt just doesn't like Leinart. From Rotoworld:

Former Cardinal Anquan Boldin told 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore Wednesday
that he's not the least bit surprised Matt Leinart was unable to win the
team's starting quarterback job.
<div>
"Honestly? No," said Q. "I've ... witnessed the relationship between
both Matt and coach (Ken) Whisenhunt. So I'm actually not surprised."
This does lend credence to Leinart's idea that the odds were already
stacked against him, but -- again -- he didn't do anything in the
preseason to make Whisenhunt's choice difficult. Look for Leinart to be
off Arizona's roster by Saturday.</div>

One of my faults is that certain things stick with me. It was nearly 35 years ago, but I remember this incident vividly.

Bradshaw became sort of a recluse because the ribbing he took early in his career. Even after all the negative energy thrown in his direction, he overcame it and evolved into a master QB surgeon. Unlike most QB's today, he ran the show out there on the field. However, he had difficulty picking up the NFL game in the first few years, just like most QB's in my opinion. Anyway, the ridicule in the early years put Terry on a lonely, long road, and he never fully enjoyed his HOF career as a result. I still remember his last game. He hadn't played all year because of his arm injury and the Steelers needed a win over the Jets. So, Terry went in there, ruined arm and all, and got the win for his Steelers. He looked pretty good out there, too. The game had become automatic to him, just like Favre today. Favre doesn't really need much practice at this point in his career. He could go out there and light it up on his extensive experience and knowledge of the game alone.

Thanks for the memories there SH and Don.
Wasn't Hollywood Henderson a big time coke head? He was the worm that won 2 lotteries too I think. And blew most of the money I heard.

Anyway, the media will use any tools to knock down White QBs if given the chance. Besides 'laid back Surfer boy' and 'Southern hick', they also use 'under sized small fry' for guys not scout prototype size. They did this with Doug Flutie.
My Dad said even Joe Montana was disliked by the media and they said he had a noodle arm and was 'too smallish' to withstand NFL seasons...they rode him he said until 'The Catch' game. No one thought he was going to last more then 4 seasons out of ND.

My, how they were wrong.
Montana was hard to pinpoint..a cerebral aloofness about him, but had respect from his teammates and always delivered. He was also a QB much tougher then what he seemed. Remember his back surgery, in '87 I think it was.

I think they tried to portray the 'dumb card' with Elway too his first couple of seasons. The media loved when he sometimes went to the guard instead of the center.
I think because Elway was so excited and tweaked sometimes. He said it took him nearly 8 years to actually learn the game and not try to just over power it.

Bradshawhad a slow learning curve, but once he "got it," he became a Hall of Famer. He made a lot of great plays but rarely had gaudy statistics. He was all about managing and winning the game, personal stats be damned. Ben Roethlisberger is the same way, which is why he's led the Steelers to two Super Bowl wins on teams significantly less talented than the Pittsburgh juggernaut of the 1970s.

The CS proponents are retards. Elway's major was either economics or philosophy (I've read both). Yeah, dumb.

just the fact that Elway went to Stanford should prove them wrong... and he graduated with a degree in economics.
