That was what I was trying to "awkwardly" express.

The money issue is likely another factor although that wouldn't be the case of the Oklahoma TE bolting or WR Ryan Swope never playing a down in the NFL.

We are going to have to learn to live with this new troubling reality. Which is why I get so upset when I see black defenders skull shot white players.
SL, I would think of it more in terms of Whites just making better judgements and decisions due to higher intelligence and better ability to think about the future.

Many blacks grow up thinking their only way out of “the hood” is to make it as an athlete or a rapper. They literally have no other plan and will just resort to criminality or welfare when “plan A” fails. Therefore you can understand that when a black athlete makes it big at a major D1 program or later the NFL, they are not going to let concussion concerns stop their ticket out of the ghetto. They’ll chance being a vegetable later in life. For one, they need the money as they spend (waste) it as fast as they get it. Secondly, they have high time preference so their only concern is the present. The contrast is the White athlete who can bank a few million, invest it wisely and walk away while they still can.

Sadly, as fans, we want to see our favorite athletes entertain us for as long as possible. We also aren’t the ones dealing with ringing migraines, painful injuries, surgeries and lengthy rehabilitations. If I was in the shoes of Kuechly, Luck, Borland or Swope, I can’t say I wouldn’t do the same.

This is spot on................Whites live for long term strategic planning.............they know that glory and attention is short term and fleeing. I'm glad to see Luke retire and realize there is more to life that being an "afflleet"......the majority of Blacks are impulsive and too emotional to think of anything beyond their bling laden, posen' and pimping social media fame...........to throw millions to a Black because they can run and jump is wasted money. We all know how fast they go broke after their career in sports.

Besides.............and its a fact, Black have thicker bone structure and thicker skulls..........with less cerebral frontal lobe brain mass.................let them take all the abuse as there is less damage to be done on their brains. Whites have something to live for after football...........but unless they get to stumble over trying to speak correctly on TV about their sport for a job, most Black players have no ability after sports to become an asset to society.

With the CTE issues as it is in the NFL..........I see less White families allowing their children to grow up playing football knowing the value of what a full quality of life over the long term means to their children.........

Black families?.............if you mean the 80% of those families which are Black welfare moms and their keeds they pop out on gib programs..........well all they just see is the money and bling carrot hanging in front of their noses.

It matters not whatever social situation Blacks are placed in......their lack of cognitive functioning within a modern Western society leaves most of them living a plantation existence and they don't have enough reasoning ability to figure that out other than blame Whitey.

I'm fatigued by the peak Negro all over TV programs/ads/news along with the NBA/NFL and college sports these days.

White men if you have young daughters at home set an example by not worshipping what is on that idiot TV box............

Your point, "only way out of the hood" reminds me of Sam Huff (Giants HOF linebacker) - The only way out of the coal mine for him was football.

I believe this is why Kuechly showed so much frustration in games this year, he could not play at the level he had in the past. He definitely had lost a step and just did not play liked he did two years ago. Injuries took a giant toll on Kuechly.

I don't think injuries affect White players more, they're just more likely to retire earlier now. Why? Because of the money they make. Stars can banks tens of millions before the age of 30 if they have money sense, while others like Gronk (and Kuechly) had substantial additional income from corporate endorsements. I hate to see Luke retire, but just as with Andrew Luck at the beginning of the season, this is likely to happen more often now. Retire in your late 20s or early 30s set for life financially without worrying about any more football injuries hampering your middle and old age and map out the rest of your life from there.

Correct. In 2015 Kuechly signed a 5 year 62 million dollar contract and with his endorsements, he will be OK. Something I'd like to add. I think he was frustrated with Carolina and the losing. I watched quite a bit of the Panthers the last two years and Kuechly looked very frustrated on the field. He didn't look like he was enjoying the game anymore. Adding to Booth's comments as well.
IMO.

A relatively good ending to a sad event would be the Panthers signing Nick Kwiatkoski to replace Luke. Kwiatkoski mostly rotted for four years in Chicago despite having starting talent and I'd love to see this tackling machine leave the Bears and excel elsewhere:

How Luke Kuechly's retirement could impact the Bears

Kuechly, 28, is considered one of the best linebackers of his generation. He's started all 118 games of his career with the Panthers, totaling 1,092 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 18 interceptions, nine fumble recoveries and two defensive touchdowns.

Kuechly will be impossible to replace for rookie coach Matt Rhule and the Panthers defense, but they could end up looking at two of the Bears' key free agents as possible candidates, depending on the scheme Carolina runs in life after Ron Rivera.

Nick Kwiatkoski and Danny Trevathan are both set to become unrestricted free agents and they were expected to have a long list of suitors before the Panthers' sudden need at linebacker. Adding another team to their pool of potential employers will only increase their open-market value and make it even more challenging for GM Ryan Pace.

Kuechly's retirement could force Pace to reevaluate his offseason strategy for either Trevathan or Kwiatkoski and make sure he has his preferred choice locked up before the spending spree kicks off.

It's possible this has been Pace's plan all along anyway. But Kuechly's shocking decision to walk away from the game will focus even more attention on this year's free-agent linebackers; the time is now for Pace to get a deal done.

It would be nice for Kwiatkoski to be picked up by Carolina, thereby assuring his starting. It would stink to have them grab Trevathan and have Nick remain with the Bears. Chicago would certainly have some upsider come in and "look" better that Kwiatkoski and back to the bench for him.

If Kwiatkoski re-signs with Chicago and is subsequently screwed again, then that's on him, much like Zach Zenner passing up the opportunity to touch the ball plenty with the Vikings in favor of returning to the team that did nothing but underuse him and periodically Caste him aside.

Very true. But it seems that many white players develop some sort of "loyalty" to their teams, something that you don't see with others. ZZ is a great example, but by no means the first.

I understand why he did it, but for us it's pretty bad, considering he was only 28 with potential 4-5 good years ahead of him. I suspect JJ Watt will retire soon as well leaving us with 2 superstars less.

I was talking to big program DT who got a camp invite and he said his body was breaking down by then after his 5 years of college and a camp and then that was it. It comes a time for all when the football cup is empty and some like me never had much in the cup to begin with.

Luke probably heard or saw that Wayne Cherbet had several concussions and now needs help to get home to function. I can not blame him. Anyone with two or more concussions is crazy to play in the NFL especially at linebacker.

Luke is joining Panthers as a scout. Hope he'll try to find a next Luke or Christian...

I went back and looked up some scouting reports on Luke Kuechly. Here's a collection from a site called Fanatical Yankee. Every one of the 6 scouting reports on this site talks about Kuechly's supposed lack of athleticism. They obviously "scouted by race" and bought into the racist stereotype that all white men are unathletic.

Kuechly, of course, was an elite athlete. He proved it at the combine and during his career.

They make up things to say. They write stuff like "lacks range but shoots well into tackles" or "narrow in the hips and lacks girth in the lower half". The way these guys write is almost like a semi homo erotic thing and it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of them are homosexuals. To say that the analysis of football players is over done would be a massive understatement. There are whole shows and websites dedicated to talking about these players.
