Very affletic play! I could see why talking heads get giddy at his upside.

Second torn ACL for Beckham, who already looked noticeably slower than he used to. This one could finish off his career. Likely inadvertent good news for Kupp, solidifying his go-to position that much more.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Odell Beckham tore his ACL in the Super Bowl against the Bengals.
OBJ writhed in pain after a non-contact injury just before halftime in the Rams' Super Bowl win. The free-agent-to-be had caught two of his three targets for 52 yards and a first quarter touchdown, creating separation at will and out-muscling Bengals defenders. The injury -- his second torn ACL in two years -- is a devastating blow for Beckham, whose resurgence as a pass-catching force in the LA offense was a bright spot of the 2021 NFL season. He'll likely settle for a short-term deal with a good offensive team where he might serve as the WR2 or WR3. Kansas City has rumored interest in Beckham.

Rams are letting Troy Reeder go as a free agent. Let’s hope he lands somewhere else.

The Rams signed Allen Robinson, who is a very solid possession receiver, or at least was until last season but that can be attributed in part to the mess that was the Bears under The Rodent.

Robert Woods is coming back from a blown out knee and like Robinson isn't a speed burner. So I'm hoping this means Cooper Kupp will be used more on the outside than before. He's a great piece who can be moved anywhere and effortlessly get open. Robinson shouldn't hurt Kupp's value.

I’m glad the Rams are keeping their foot on the gas. But, I guess they’re not ready to rely on Skowronek as a top 3 receiver.

Ben wasn't quite ready for prime time as a rookie. Hopefully he sticks as the fourth receiver and shows enough in '22 to justify becoming the third receiver in '23. And there's no way of knowing when Woods will be close to one hundred percent coming off a serious knee injury.

Hopefully Ben Skowronek can take advantage. It would be great to see the best team in the league giving lots of playing time to two White receivers, reminiscent of the Patriots of not so long ago (who even had three White receivers on the field at times):

Coach Sean McVay announced Van Jefferson will undergo knee surgery this week and is uncertain for Week 1 against the Bills. The Rams host Buffalo to open the 2022 season in 38 days, and Jefferson will be up against the clock to be ready after a specialist advised a clean-up procedure. We assume it's some sort of scope for Jefferson, which is typically a 4-6 weeks recovery. On Monday, McVay again mentioned free agent Odell Beckham's name, though he wouldn't be an option to help the Rams while Jefferson is out, as OBJ likely won't play before November due to ACL rehab. Ben Skowronek, Tutu Atwell, Jacob Harris, and others will be in the mix for third wideout duties behind Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson.

Good news for Skowronek. So sad to hear about Van's knee. Next will be the 150lb midget Tutu.

Depth charts early in training camp often aren't very meaningful so take this with a grain of salt. But it does show that Skowronek is in serious contention for some action this season, maybe a lot of action if Van Jefferson doesn't get healthy.

Skowronek was listed as one of the Rams' three starting receivers on the first unofficial depth chart released Wednesday, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports. With Van Jefferson (knee) uncertain to be ready for Week 1, Skowronek will be first in line to join Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson in three-receiver sets. Skowronek has some competition for the No. 3 role, however, with 2021 second-round pick Tutu Atwell, Brandon Powell and Jacob Harris representing his top challengers.

Ben Skowronek should get a fair amount of work as the Rams' third receiver during Thursday's kickoff game against the Bills if Jefferson is out.

Van Jefferson (knee) didn't practice Monday.

It's tough to envision Jefferson playing this Thursday night against the Bills after he missed all of camp and the preseason and is now on a short week. OC Liam Coen talked up Ben Skowronek's blocking and ball-tracking on Monday, comparing him to Robert Woods. Skowronek, Tutu Atwell, and possibly even Lance McCutcheon would help fill the Rams' WR3 void if Jefferson sits.

This is great news. Ben Skowronek needs to put together some really big games to gain the confidence of Stafford in him more.

Good news for Ben Skowronek. Also, Sean McVay has signed a contract extension through 2026. There were rumors after the Super Bowl that McVay was going to retire and move to the broadcast booth.

CBS' Josina Anderson reports Van Jefferson (knee) is expected to miss multiple games.

Jefferson had already been ruled out for Thursday night's opener against the Bills. The 10 days between now and Week 2's matchup with the Falcons apparently won't be enough time to get right. Jefferson's loss leaves the Rams extremely thin behind Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson, though that is a problem most teams would take. Ben Skowronek and Tutu Atwell are the next men up.

TE Hunter Long is a solid player. Ramsey was always a head case along with being a good player. The Rams have done a bit of a fire sale after going all in for the super bowl purging mostly blacks from there roster so far. Rumors are swirling that Mayfield may end up on the Bucs to compete with Trask. If so, I hope the Rams get a quality player in the draft or via free agency.

I would prefer Mayfield stays with the Rams. If he is patient, he could take over the team in a couple of years. With Staffords age he also is
alot more injury prone now. I think Baker Mayfield fits in great with the Rams. We will see what happens.

It never ceases to amaze me how so many players get chance after chance. Sony Michel is an ok running back but not worth the time
or money that these teams put into him. What not go with younger guys that are hungry for the chance? Oh well, same old crap.

DB / LB Sterling Weatherford was released with an injury designation. Didn’t even realize he was with the Rams but disappointed to hear. With his size and talent, I was hoping he could break through as a rare White safety in the NFL.

Too bad about Weatherford. I saw he signed with them after getting cut by either the Afro-centric Bears or Wakanda Colts a week or so ago (can't remember which one).

He was a dominant force at Miami (OH) but as we know the caste system has a very high success rate at ensuring Whites don't get opportunities.

Typical Weatherford already cut from his 3rd NFL squad.. Injuries don’t help but damn.

Yeah our guys have to be perfect. Only guys with a darker natural tan get away with getting hurt. It's only football and injuries happen but
if your white it's the kiss of death to your career.

Looks like the Rams are parting ways with all three of their White defensive starters from last season:

The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue says the Rams are not expected to tender restricted free agent LB Michael Hoecht.
Hoecht is a former undrafted free agent who caught on with the Rams ahead of the 2020 season. Through four seasons, Hoecht has carved out a nice career for himself, starting 26 of the 51 games he’s appeared in while also starting all 17 games last season. In what was essentially a contract year for Hoecht, the veteran linebacker totaled 81 tackles, six sacks, and seven TFLs — all career highs. In addition to Hoect, the Rams are also expected to let linebacker Christian Rozeboom and defensive tackle Jonah Williams test the free agent market.
