This should be helpful to Skowronek and Koski. Although Harris is listed as a tight end, Sean McVay had been talking him up as simply a receiver:

Rams TE Jacob Harris suffered ACL and MCL injuries in the Rams' Week 9 loss to the Titans and will miss the remainder of the 2021 season. After touting the former receiver's unique skillset in the summer, Sean McVay was unable to carve out a role for Harris. The rookie's debut campaign ended without a reception on 15 offensive snaps. Though, he was made active every week this season for his special teams prowess. He'll look to earn a larger role on offense in his second season.

I can't help but think about the line "the freaks come out at night" when I heard Newton and OBJ are signed today. The Rams are making a Superbowl push but will OBJ temper his personality to be a team player for once his life...https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32608165/odell-beckham-jr-finalizing-deal-los-angeles-rams

I doubt it!! It also pretty much guarantees Kupp won’t lead the league in receiving. The rams have one of the best receiving cores in the league wth!!

"They had a good thing going, like a complete offense," Johnson said. "I don't know. I just feel, like, from being in L.A., I know for a fact the offense runs through Cooper Kupp; even in the run game, the pass game, the screen game, it kind of runs through Cooper Kupp. So obviously, Odell's a big name and he's going to want that attention as well. It will be interesting."

Agreed guys. Just a distraction imo Can't have Kupp being the Alpha WR.

Damn I feel terrible for Woods but that should mean that Skowronek is WR3 and Koski is WR4 this weekend. I wonder how long until OBJ is inserted and they never use Skowronek again.

I’m high on Skowronek, if given the opportunities he can become a consistent receiver in the NFL. Learning from Kupp will benefit his career tremendously.

I think Cooper will still lead the NFL, however he definitely won't hit 2k, which was a possibility before. He is on pace for 1924 yards with the extra game, it just would take one big game to put him over but it's less likely now.

Woods getting a serious knee injury is huge as Kupp would have been thrown to even more this year and past seasons except for the perceived "locker room" need to feed Woods a certain amount of targets.

Beckham hasn't gone over 1,052 yards in a season since 2016 and since then he's had two lost seasons due to injury, including a torn ACL just last season. He may do well in the Rams' high powered offense but he's not a superstar anymore and may not even qualify as a star. Baker Mayfield has had no problems finding and feeding Jarvis Landry, and even the previously unheralded and unknown Donovan Peoples-Jones this season, making Beckham's mewling look pretty ridiculous but of course not unexpected as it's par for the course for him.

I know they felt the need to sign someone with a huge name as they want to win a super bowl. I just hate that this guy like so many other premadonna athletes is
just a lockerroom cancer. Hope it doesn't mess up the chemistry of the team. I also feel the NFL doesn't want Kupp leading the nfl in receiving yards. Call me crazy
but that's my honest reaction. Get another guy to take many of the receptions away from Cooper Kupp. The NFL goes out of their way to screw so many of our best guys.

Bringing in an over-the-hill, ball-hungry prima donna like Beckham was bad juju for the Rams franchise. The football gods have decided that Cooper Kupp will ascend to the throne of Best Professional Football Player this season. Les Snead tried to flout the will of the football gods with this ridiculous headline-grabber. His team has been punished appropriately with the smiting down of Woods. Kupp will achieve his rightful mantle by hook or by crook!

I'm hoping OBJ promptly blows out his knee. Then he'll have plenty of time to hang around in rehab in Hollyweird.

Appearing on FOX NFL Sunday, Jay Glazer reported Rams seventh-round rookie WR Ben Skowronek will start Monday night against the 49ers and fill Robert Woods' (knee) role.
The Rams have a "package" of plays drawn up for Odell Beckham in his Rams debut, but Glazer noted OBJ and Woods "play different positions" among the wide receiver group. It sounds like Van Jefferson might be the biggest loser in the Rams' wideout room after OBJ's signing. Skowronek has played 37 offensive snaps this season, catching all three of his targets for 30 yards. He's huge at 6'3/224 and will help out in the blocking department after Woods was so crucial in that area of his game. We doubt Skowronek sees many targets.

Ben Skowronek will not play today due to a back injury suffered on Friday; Landon Akers has been called up from the Practice Squad to replace him.

Matt Stafford is reportedly banged up even though the Rams had their bye last week, which isn't good news for either him or Cooper Kupp:

Ari Meirov reported, "Rams QB Matthew Stafford is "all banged up" and has been dealing with a sore ankle, pain in his throwing arm/elbow, and back pain that has been described as "chronic," per @diannaESPN. The #Rams are in freezing cold Lambeau Field today to take on the #Packers."

I'll keep an eye on Akers! Stafford should be fine, even if he is beaten up . Tough guy. Aaron Rodgers has a broken pinky toe aka Covid toe. Should be a great afternoon matchup.

A new all-time low for Weenieworld?

The Rams have a 52 percent pass rate since Week 15, the seventh lowest in the NFL over that span. Head coach Sean McVay has made a concerted effort to establish the run and lean heavily on the team's backs when game script allows. Perhaps spooked by Matthew Stafford's disastrous late-season decision making, McVay's offense has become one of the run-heaviest in the league over the past month. That wasn't always the case: LA's season-long pass rate of 59 percent ranks 11th in the NFL, and their pass rate over expectation was among the league's highest during the season's first month. The new approach has translated to hefty volume for Sony Michel -- who had 13 carries on Monday night against Arizona -- and Cam Akers, who led the team with 17 rushes in LA's Wild Card win. Akers, recently returned from a preseason Achilles tear, totaled 55 yards on the ground but had several long runs called back on penalties. Look for the Rams to once again go run heavy in the Divisional Round against Tampa, hiding Stafford as well as they can.

I enjoyed seeing Weddle back out there too. Reeder and Gaines are both coming into their own as well.

I think you're right. There's a blurb about Kirk Cousins below the one about Stafford that's almost as vicious. I can almost envision the young, sobbing girlyman who's churning out today's hate propaganda.

Haha.

I'm assuming Weenieworld has remained mum on Prescott?! Last stupid play call aside by Moore, Dak has been a game manager. Nothing more. Highest played QB in League and he choked against San Fran.

Jared Goff was a solid franchise quarterback (of course viciously attacked by the sports media) and Stafford is an upgrade over him. How any sports writer can think Stafford needs to be "hidden" behind a run game is laughable.
