If all the stuff Thrashen says about MLK is indeed true than I take back what I said, he certainly is SCUM. The term "has some character flaws" was a Weak.J.Riggins lol statement on the issue if Thrashen is correct.

Tough J. ask yourself this "Why in the world would MLK records be sealed for 50 years?" Its not like our national security is at stake. The atomic bomb classified files were not sealed for 50 years, why is Kings? I will tell you why, if the truth came out, blacks and alot of White people would be shocked and depressed. That would give way to blacks rioting in the streets or turning to booze or drugs. They would become more of a burden than they are now. They could not deal with the truth. Just a small part of the dishonest crap our government peddles in, so that blacks won't be further traumatized by reality and their lot in America caused by their inability as a collective to succeed on their own. That is why.

It so happens that Jimmy Clausen wears jersey No.2, the same as Newton. Right after being drafted, Newton demanded No.2. I don't know how it stands at present.

Well, I hate to say it, but I think Newton will have some success in the NFL. He won't be a good quarterback, but he might be able to win games with the Panthers.

Miami's "wildcat" ultimately failed because they started out using runningbacks. There was no real threat of the pass with them. Cam might suck as a quarterback, but he actually is a quarterback rather than a runningback. And I believe that Carolina will have no choice but to shift fully to a full-time wildcat scheme (might even copy Auburn's playbook). By taking Cam as the #1 pick in the entire draft, they need for him to be successful* in order to make that selection pay off. And let's not forget Under Armor's massive endorsement deal with Newton. They're even more on the hook. Cam has to be a superstar or they've just wasted a huge chunk of money. Who knows what kind of influence these clothing companies have on the sport?

Lastly, consider the NFL itself, which is constantly tweaking its rules in order to shift the game to the spread offense. Cam could very well be walking into a situation that is shaping itself to fit him rather than the other way around. And there's always the CM angle of the NFL. There are no longer any fools left on this website who deny the fact that the NFL craves successful minority Quarterbacks. What actions they take to ensure this are not fully known. But is an absolute truth.

*Newton can be "successful", as I have written above, without actually winning games. As long as he is accumulating offensive statistics (and generating highlight clips), then he is a "Superstar" and the Panthers (and the NFL) can sell him to the DWFs who buy tickets and merchandise. Call it the "Denard Effect", on whom I have written extensively.

Demands? Whats next, hes going to have the veterans carry his pads? He can have number 2 because that is where he belongs on the depth chart, and his career will wind up a big number 2.

lol the wildcat, howd that work for Pat White? Auburn's offense wouldn't work in the NFL, coordinators would figure out how to stop it, and NFL players are too out of shape to run the hurry up like Auburn. Look at the first game the Dolphins beat the Patriots with the wildcat, and then look at the second game, didn't do anything. BTW if you have ever seen Newton throw, its about on the level that Ronnie Brown had when in the wildcat, he cant fit passes into tight spaces, can't make NFL throws, cant anticipate receivers getting open, so he might as well be a runningback, because he can only throw to wide open receivers, except that he is 6'5 which will make him more prone to knee injuries. And as big as he is, he still doesn't like contact. He isn't a physical runner like Tebow, when he got dinged up in the national championship game he ran timid afterwards, they looked at his back after the game but it wasn't anything serious, just the normal pains of getting hit. If he doesn't like being hit in college imagine someone like Cushing or Clay Matthews hitting him.

The NFL is making offenses more favorable to spread offenses, but at the end of the day, you have to pass to win, and since he doesn't have elite speed he won't be able to put together many highlight runs without the threat of passing. Personally I think the 4.59 time is BS, I think hes slower than that. I don't even think he will have the success of Young or Vick because coordinators weren't prepared for that. Over time these guys got figured out, Vick wound up with Reid who has a talent for making black quarterbacks looking good, but over the season he got figured out, plus he has good receivers like DeSean Jackson, who do the Panthers have? an aging Steve Smith who wants out. He knows hes not going to look good with Newton at qb.

But you could be correct, he will probably have a few games of running around against horrible coal black defenses. I really don't think he cares about being a successful quarterback even if he wanted to, the same thing that happened with Russel, who would be mediocre if he put in the work, like Young who actually cared about playing. But I think he will handle failure the same way Young, he will flip out. He wants to be an "entertainer" and "icon" but I don't think he knows what type of work ethic it will take to be one as a quarterback. Auburn's offense is simplistic, a high school offense compare to the NFL, a spread guru that has a similar offense as Auburn said he could install his offense in 3 days. Hes never lost a college game and doesn't know what its like to face that kind of criticism. My guess is, after a few highlight plays, nfl coordinators adjusting their schemes to stop him and taking real NFL hits after scrambling, and he turns into a poor man's David Garrard, one read and then dump it off to the runningback or tight end.

But I could see this scenario after those things happen : in order to not look bad, he will probably play up some minor injury and take himself out of the game, then Clausen will come in with a year of experience, and just might show that he has the ability to be an NFL quarterback, the thing they drafted him last year to be. It could wind up like the Brooks/Delhomme situation, which is the best scenario for Clausen. Delhomme showed that he could play when Brooks was out with an injury, Haslett put Brooks back in later in the season even though Delhomme was doing great and Brooks was still injured (which leads me to believe it wasn't that bad). They got rid of Delhomme and he took the Panthers to the Superbowl the next year, Brooks was out of the league a few years later. At one point, pretty much all of his backups were starting while he was out of the league, Bulger, Delhomme, and JT O Sullivan.

Or Newton could have a legit injury, come back and suck and have the msm constantly talk about how it weren't for the injury hed be a pro bowl qb, kind of like Daunte Culpepper after his knee injury.

If Carolina really wants something out of Newton they should put him as a pass catching tight end.

I originally thought that Carolina wasn't going to take Newton, but as the Draft got closer, I figured that Carolina looked at "who/what" was out there and just couldn't justify taking sumo Dareus or overrated Von Miller.

By circumstance, they were almost forced to take someone from a "glamour" position. A.J. Green was out there, of course, but he too is overrated, and only Colin Cowherd will remark about his thin-frame and bring up the question of "durability."

The PTB didn't force Carolina in my view. They didn't have to.. This simply wasn't a "strong black draft class." The question is, just like with JaMarcus, if they weren't selected #1 Overall, who would have taken them?? Both could have "fallen" out of the Top 10 in my view.
