Chang at least seem to make things happen on the field, they should give him a whole game to see what he's made of. Hell, they're 0-3 and totally hopeless.

another great game by Jesse on very limited opportunities.... and my Als won by the way, finnally. lol

and by the way, keep an eye on the Ralph brothers, they are Wyoming alumns, and canadians. Brock plays for the ti-cats, brett for the stampeders, they definitly are rising stars in the CFL, Brock got a 100+ yard game with a TD today

Yesterday, Lumsden finish with 11 carry for 158 yards and a big run of 66 yards and another. + 5 catches for 68 yards.
Now in the season he is the 3rd best RB with the most yards and 37 carry for 298 yards = 8.1 yards per carry!!!
He is the best running back of the CFL BY FAR
And he don't got enough carry..that stupid...anyway..

He isn't the best RB in the CFL, but he has the size to make it in the NFL.

Here is a comparison between Lumsden and Charles Roberts, the CFLs top HB.

Roberts: 67 carries for 342 yards (5.1 yards per carry). 13 catches for 136 yards. TOTAL: 478 yards on 80 touches and 6 touchdowns

Lumsden: 37 carries for 298 yards (8.1 yards per carry). 11 catches for 150 yards. TOTAL: 448 yards on 48 touches and 0 touchdowns.

Excuse me? He isnt the best RB???? Yes he is..Lumsden got no touchdown 'cause he don't have many carry in the red zone and the Tigercats are not often in the redzone! They have one of the worse oline in this league..comon man..if you've watch Robert play and Lumsden, that obvious that Lumsden is better. Lumsden got a better acceleration, Robert have a better top speed, but Lumsden is more strong, better hand, better blocker...

ok lumsden has 0 touchdowns

but has a 8.1 YPC average

and 30 less total yards on 32 less carries

Try the official CFL site. Lumsden is under utilized because the Ticats might be the worst team in the league. Trust me the management thinks the world of him as he is the first Canadian to start since maybe Orville Lee way back around 90'(I'm not counting Lapointe and others who have started because of injuries).

Yup, that highlight video is a must see fellas, the guy is N.F.L. material. It's a shame his next chance will come only when he will be 27, if he ever decide to grace the amercian people of his presence, which I doubt.

The CFL has a caste system also, although not as strong as the NFLs. I doubt Tre will get playing time. Lapointe got screwed over, he was the best RB on his team but was always a backup. The CFL has brought in too many black American casteoffs who arent better than the white players but for some reason get most of the playing time at the skill postions.

Well the caste system in the CFL doesent work by race..It works by nationality...American (white or black) are always first for that in deptchart at skill position..That stupid.Edited by: lumsdenpower

There is a rule of 20 Canadians minimum on every roster.

From what I have seen, the CFL is just a slightly less dominant Caste System than the NFL, and it is also based primarily on race. I remember seeing coverage of the Shreveport CFL team in the early to mid 90s and they didn't look much whiter than most NFL teams.

not for the skills position!.. like 70 percent of the canadian player are not a wide receiver, running back, corner back, quarterback..

Lumsden's dominating performance last week, caught some folks attention. here are some blurbs, but even now he still gets some caste commentary...:

Facing a Lions defence that had surrendered just 131 rushing yards in its previous three games, Lumsden exploded for a career-high 158 rushing yards on 11 carries - an average of 14.4 yards per carry. The third-year Ticat also led the Black and Gold with 68 yards receiving.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

This marks the first time Lumsden has earned CFL Player of the Week honours.

But Hamilton running back Jesse Lumsden made the previously impenetratable B.C. run defence look more like Swiss cheese.

BOMBERS KEY ON LUMSDEN

Jesse Lumsden's breakout game against the B.C. Lions last week caught the Winnipeg Blue Bombers' attention, now they're trying to figure out how to stop the Tiger-Cats running back.

"You think he's an inside power runner but if he gets an edge, he can turn it up, he can take you outside as well," Bombers defensive tackle Doug Brown. "It's really being very disciplined in your gaps and maintaining the integrity of the defence is really the way to slow him down. You get one breakdown, he's going to find it and he's going to exploit it."

i still think that if he keeps it up some NFL team will go after him. if they don't they're more stupid than we thought.
