how was he cut? it's simple...he has a skincondition that is prohibitive for the tailback position in the NFL, and nearly anywhere in America once you leave high school.
if you watch him run and catch, he is almost identical in style to Shaun Alexander, one of the most productive backs in the NFL, except Lumsden can block a little bit. they are also of similar size and build. if you put long sleeves on them and put them in the same uniform, then let them do their thing, you'd have a hard time telling them apart. however, you will NEVER hear anyone in the media compare Lumsden to Alexander. they'll use the same old tired cliches of "throwback," or he's like "a smaller, faster Alstott" (which of course means he is nothing like Alstott at all except for skin tone), or "he's the second coming of Brian Piccolo." they will do anything to prevent him being compared to the "real" afaletes of the day...
