I agree whiteathlete33. Gradkowski's been there all the way through this mess. When they make the switch, he should get to start.

It's really unbelieveable that any organization would be so crazy to keep a guy like russel at QB. He's killing them. I don't think the Raiders would be a bad ball team if they had a good QB, or even a mediocre QB.

Gradkowski is not the best QB out there, to be honest. i've seen him play a lot for Bucs and he was mediocre.

still, mediocre would be about 3 notches up from what they have now.

I agree with Backrow. I realize that Gradkowski was just a rookie with the Bucs, but he looked pretty bad most of the time. Most of the offensive production when he was in the game came from his running / scrabling ability.

He plays alot like David Gerrard, tons of boring dump-offs and short passes. Obviously, he'd still be way better than Jamarcus.

Also, there is also the issue of "do the drunk white fans even know Gradkowski is white?" He's super-tan at all times, and looks like a black QB to your average moron. I know many here have proven that he is in fact white. I wish him the best, but would rather see Frye play.

I think the jury is still out on Gradkowski. The Bucs were pretty awful in '06, going 4-12. Gradkowski was unexpectedly made the starter as a raw rookie by mad QB scientist Gruden after Chris Simms had to have his spleen removed. Though I don't see the Raiders being much of a team to get a second chance with. Any chance Andrew Walter had of being a starting QB in the league went down the tubes when he was forced into the starting role in Oaklanda few years ago with one of the worst offenses in NFL history.

IMO as poor as Gradkowski has looked, I think Frye is even worse. He is another one of those limited ability QB's like Gradkowski who can move a little bit but seems to be a dink and dunker who doesn't have a lot of accuracy past short range. Like I said before, I believe the Raiders had their QB at least for a couple of years in Garcia, and were fortunate to get him, but they let him get away in favor of DuhMarcus. Now they have to pay the price and they are going to have no hope of a future until they wise up. Edited by: Bear Backer

The entire league is going to be forced to wise up given how awful most of the black QBs have been. DuhMarcus, Vince Young, Jason Campbell, all recent first round picks. Meantime, since 2004 there have been a slew of great and near-great white QBs entering the league, and very few flops. The disparity in performance between white and black QBs has been enormous in recent years. You have to go back to 1999 when McNabb was drafted for the last good black QB. No amount of disguised affirmative action can cover up the obvious.

There have been so many black quarterback flops in recent years. Almost every single black qb has been a bust. Russell, Wallace, Akili Smith, and Campbell are just a few.

Now in his 3rd year and Russell is still horrible. There seems to be a consensus even among the caste whore media that Russell is a bust. It's kind of like they were looking around to see who would be the first to stop making excuses for him and declare him a bust. Then, it was ok for everyone to go ahead and state the obvious.

Lack of leadership, work ethic and intelligence. That sums it up.

Lesson to the Raiders: Don't draft a franchise quarterback whose otherwise normal name is preceded by a Ja. (See the next overhyped, overrated, black qb: Jacory Harris.)

Does anyone know how much of the HUGE contract Daumarcus will get to keep if say, he cut after the season? I am sure the Raidas are not on the hook for the entire salary they gave him for being a big dufus black out there pretending to be a NFL quaterback not quatoback!!!

How nice, from one "afflete" bust to another. Riding home from the UGA game last night, "Duhmarcus" came up as another example of "afflete" QBs who're hyped to the gills coming out of college, then are exposed in the NFL.

Davis is senile and probably thinks that he somehow gets rejuvenated after huffing Duhlardass's dirty jock straps.

Culpepper and Russell look like twins. Twin affelets who suck at being a quaterback. Man, you would think that a man like Al Davis would know this fool would not be able to make it.

I think Al Davis has the on seat of dementia or worse. If Russell got anything close to 37 million it should be called the greatest robbery with out force or fear. Man, how utter stupid the Raidas were. I am just speechless how this affelet and his agent was able to con and get that much money. Just Wow.

There are times I wonder if he even knows who his coaches and players are. You could probably prop him up and he would babble on about the great Arthur Shell.

Russell is the forebearer of the other affeletic specimen, Andre Smiff, the soon to be major bust lineman with the Bengals. Oh, Ok we need him, he is great, oh, he is holding out for over two months. Hurry and sign him, no need to "see the goods" or try him out. Fast forward to 1st day at training camp. Smiff is close to 400 lbs. During elementry drills, he breaks a bone in his ankle. His injury was do to his obeseness.

Glad we signed him to over 25 million. At least we have him on the non active roster. Hope he recovers fast. OH BROTHER!

Another affelet another robbery without force nor fear.

Davis still wants Russell to be the starter. He will never admit he made a mistake by drafting this afflete. Honestly how good did they think fatboy would really be?

WA 33 yeah, but there is going to come a fork in the road, where the Raidas say screw this affelet. I predict that moment is two games away. If I am Davis I say cut your loses(literally)now!

Russell IMO has the maturity of an 8th grade black boy(Can I say that? F..k Yeah)with the IQ of 63. What a total waste of money and roster spot that should be in a whites hands. I haven't read the sports press up in Oakland, but I suspect they can't be kind at this point.

But If God should toss DauMarcus a bone and some how he happens to be on the field while his teammates make a win happen, the media will be comparing him to the next Warren Moon.

Its sad that I have to look forward to Sundays and reveal in a Affelets non performance, sorta like I watch the POTUS now. Wierd times.

From Rotoworld. DuhMarcus, following all the other disastrous highly hyped black QBs, may be the straw that breaks the camel's back when it comes to the Great Black Quarterback Experiment, at least as far as drafting them way higher than they should be:

Profootballtalk.com confirms CBS analyst Boomer Esiason's report that JaMarcus Russell has been fined heavily for tardiness and weight problems. Russell has reportedly missed multiple team activities, and his behavior was described as a "pattern not an aberration." Every bit of Russell's progress from late last season has been wiped away by a lost offseason and horrendous play early this year. Once again, there's no light at the end of the tunnel in Oakland.

Does every afflete act like a child when something doesn't go his way? The NFL must love dealing with these king sized children.

Those are not the usual kinds of problems a NFL starting QB brings to the table. Couldn't happen to a more deserving team and fan base.

I wouldn't say all of them, but there is definitely a trend that is much more than mere coincidence. Of course this has also a well established pattern in the greater American black community as a whole since the 1960's civil rights hoopla. Blacks have actually taken a giant step backwards away from equality. I am not old enough to remember the black community being anything but the large race hustle that exists today, but from what I am told, there was a time where they at least had a little dignity and self respect. I actually do think the NFL enjoys dealing with the tantrums and the childishness. This seems to be what the cultural Marxists wanted all along with regard to the blacks and the NFL is of course part of the Marxist society re-engineering apparatus. You don't make equals by all their wealth redistribution policies and race baiting. You make a class of useful idiots who are wholly indebted to the Marxist machine for their livelihood and "well being".

The Great Black Quarterback Experiment has been the great hope of sportswriters for 40 years now. I recall a piece in Newsweek by the late Pete Axthelm during the summer of 1969 on several black QB's who were playing in the preseason games that year. James Harris of Buffalo was the one who became a starter for a time.

The idea was that if blacks were "allowed" to play quarterback they would show the same, if not better, traits of intelligence, poise, and leadership as white quarterbacks.
