This Jordan Parker is really something. He was on the 4 x 100 relay team that just obliterated the national high school record. Looks like they have him running as a 400 meter specialist. In this vid, he runs a 47 flat with ease.

Being that Jordan Parker is from Texas it reminds me so much of Boling. Boling was from there and a 400 meters guy the majority of his
high school along with some long jumping and a few other things. Kid isn't that tall but man is he explosive. Looks like he could have kept
running another 50 meters too. Great speed endurance.

Mason Dossett of Texas ran 13.27 in 110m hurdles at the Texas Relays.
That's equal No.5 all-time in high school.
You can see his race here at the 35 second mark.

Damn he just left them all in the dust. Wow was that fast. Incredible time for a high school kid. The next Trey Cunningham?

Wow!!
Watch Victoria Cameron dominate! the Texas 4A 100m final. You won't be disappointed.
11.35 - great time!
Although things are disappointing at the collegiate level, we have some incredible sprinters right now at the high school level.
Since the Texas Relays were this weekend, it made me wonder what happened to this super speedy, 2 time state champion.
Well, she graduated last year and is attending Tarleton State University (never heard of it), and is playing soccer, but not running track!
And so it goes with some of our athletes....

Pretty wild only two white girls in the race. One wins it, the other looked respectable

I think the other white girl is actually black with dyed blonde hair. Super high knee lift! Too bad she is focusing on soccer...

Thanks to Jack from NYC for the Mason Dossett post. I think I may have posted something on Dossett when he ran a windy 13.66 as a sophomore. Back then he looked like he had the potential to run a 13 flat in the future but always seemed to have a nagging injury or to clip a hurdle. He improved slightly his junior year but was inconsistent. His 13.27 puts him at #2 in the nation. He finally seems to be living up to the promise he showed in the 10th grade. He's 6'1" and 185 lbs. and will be playing wide receiver at Baylor.

The kid who won the 300 hurdles at the Texas Relays is Andrew Jones, a sophomore. His time of 36.75 puts him at #3 in the nation. Jones has also run 14.25 (1.7) in the highs.

#1 in the nation with a 36.43 in the 300 hurdles is Vance Nilsson of Arizona. He also has a 13.87 (-0.5) and a windy 13.78 (3.1) in the highs. He had a great junior year in AZ and he seems headed for an even greater year as a senior.

not all exactly high schoolers but 3 of the following are just that.

Chosen for Australia's world champs under 20 team we have:

MEN: Gout GOUT, 16, with PBs of 10.29 a 20.69 and . Teaming in the same events Sebastion Sultana (who just ran our 1st legs on our OGs qualifier in the Bahamas) who is 18, 10.17 and 20.61 Cameron Myers, 17, 3.32 x 1500 and 3.52 mile
WOMEN: Alexandra Stoilova, 11.36 and 23.17 and Torrie Lewis, 19, who anchored our women team to national records 3 times in a month and led them to an OG qualifier in the Bahamas, 11.10 and 22.92
But the biggest surprise was a 15 year old long jumper from Trinity College (Browning and Ollie Hoare's old school) , Mason McGroder who this season has jumped 7.73m (25'4")
I hope this and others chosen whose performances i have yet to look up usher in more strength in our track and field teams in the future.

Apologies if he's been mentioned elsewhere, if not it's time to be aware of and follow Drew Griffith of Butler (PA) High School who according to an article in today's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is the best high school distance runner in the country.

Drew broke the national indoor record for the 2 miles for high schoolers at a meet in Boston in March, running 8:34.91. He's also run a 4.00.77 mile; a sub-4 minute mile has only been run by 21 high school runners according to the link I posted below. He also runs the 3,200, definitely someone to keep a close eye on. He'll be attending Notre Dame.

This girl is only 17 and just ran a 1:57.86 and set a world record for this age group. Grainy video but still impressive! The only downside to this video is the female announcer in the background lol

Vance Nilsson not only broke Reggie Wyatt's national record (35.02) with his 34.83 in the 300m hurdles but he also broke Devon Allen's 110m high hurdle AZ state record (13.48) with his 13.39. Last time I checked, that time puts Nilsson at #3 in the nation in the highs and as everyone here knows Mason Dossett is #1. Nilsson has excellent sprinting speed--he has one of the top times in AZ in the 200m--and long legs. He should have no problem moving from the high school 39" highs to the college (and international) 42" highs.

The lanky Nilsson was able to run the 300 intermediates getting 13 steps between the hurdles, which suggests the transition to the 400 intermediates will not be difficult for him. Surprising, Nilsson leads with his right leg, normally considered a disadvantage because of the centrifugal force generated going around a left-hand curve.

Lets hope they(Florida) continue to develop him as the insane hurdler that he is and not try to turn him into an 800m runner...just sayin'

I don't think anyone posted this. Gatlin Bair decommited from Boise State and will be enrolling at Oregon on a full scholarship in 2026. He
is going to be on a 2 year Morman Mission until then. He left the possibility of running track in addition to football. I sure hope so as I would
much rather see him breaking records on a track than scoring touchdowns in the NFL. I will root for him either way but hope TRACK WINS OUT in the long run. Here is a short article about this subject.
