Gatlin Bair had an impressive double yesterday at the BYU Invitational, running 10.25 and 20.47, both into a slight headwind.
That 200m time is 2nd fastest in the country (high school).
Gatlin is an incredible sprinter. I wish he would continue to run track to see how far/fast he can go.

Brody Buffington ran a 10.15 (0.6w) in the heats at the East Coast International Showcase!!!
In the finals, he ran 10.29 (1.3w), finishing 2nd to 10.28.

I believe his 10.15 is 2nd all-time (white HSer) to Matthew Boling.
Here is the final where he finished 2nd by 1/100th of a second.

I find this mildly strange...Bair, Boling, Buffington, Bolden, Bolt, Browning, Blake, Beecher, Borzov. Two of the fastest people in one of the schools I attended were named Beard and Boone. Lol.

Does anyone here have a Milesplit Pro Account? They have the prelims with Brody Buffington running his p.b. of 10.15! I really
want to see this video. It's available for members of Milesplit Pro Account.

wow did he tighten up the last 20m or so, the winner caught him from behind quite easily in the 100 final.

It sounds like Brody shot his load in the prelim and didn't have enough for the final. I wonder if he will cut a little of the bulk as he moves forward with his sprinting career.

Wow!!
Watch Victoria Cameron dominate! the Texas 4A 100m final. You won't be disappointed.
11.35 - great time!
Although things are disappointing at the collegiate level, we have some incredible sprinters right now at the high school level.

Other notable sprint news from Texas:

Luke McMullen won the 3A 100m and 200m Finals - 10.53 (2.6w) and 21.23 (1.5w)

Austen Diggs (a junior) won the 4A 200m Finals in a great time of 20.82 (1.3w) and came 3rd in the 100m - 10.57 (1.4w).
His 200m time is tied for 5th fastest in the country.

so that is a great example of an incredible block start. Cameron had the race won within 5 strides and pulled away for an easy victory. Great time! Boling and his coach need to watch this race......

this year, there were no eye popping times in Arkansas high school track, but there were plenty of White champions in the sprints and jumps. i’ll only mention a few ...

perhaps the most interesting prospect is freshman girl, Skylar Sterritt. she won both the 100m and 200m at the 5A (the second largest track classification) state championships, beating several favored “real” affletes. she also took second in the high jump and sixth in the long jump at the state meet. even more impressive, she took second in a photo finish at the Arkansas Meet of Champs in the 100m. she still has three more years to compete at the high school level, though she is a multi-sport athlete.

the girls’ winner at the Meet of Champs was also one of ours, senior Anna Woolsey. she was the top overall sprinter on the girl’s side, posting the second-fastest 100m in the state and setting a state record (then re-setting it) in the 400m. competing in the 4A classification, Woolsey won titles at the state championships in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and pole vault, and took third in the hurdles. at the Meet of Champs, she once again shined despite the cold, windy, rainy conditions, once again taking home titles in the 100m, 200m, and 400m.

will post about the boys side later ...

This is a 200-meter race between 3 of the top high school sprinters in the U.S. Buffington, Assinga, and Nyckols.

Brody Buffington is built like a football player so with his size it's not easy to hug that curve on the 200 meters. He did an
a little better than his last race but I must say his closing speed down the straightaway was amazing. If he had another 10 to
20 meters he would have caught and passed the winner. He just gives up so much ground on that curve.

Since this race though Buffington now has increased his 200 meters p.b. to 20.59! So he is improving by leaps and bounds!

Gatlin Bair ran 10.15 in the prelims of the Idaho 4A Championships.
He followed that in the finals with a time of 10.31.
So now, both Gatlin and Brody Buffington have run 10.15 this season. Incredible!

I would love to see them race each other.

That is incredible jacknyc. To have 2 white country kids be the fastest 100 meter sprinters in all of high school in the same year! It
really makes you wonder if more kids are waking up to what they can do? For a few generations whites in America have been told
that they cannot run or jump. It's constantly in your face in real life, movies, music sports and all of the fake woke culture. Well it's
good to see that many of them are fighting back against these stereotypes and old wives tales. Both of these guys are amazing.
The fact that Gatlin Bair did it as a high school junior is insane. If only he would give up football. Maybe after his mission he will have
a change of heart. What a huge loss for track if these are his last races ever! :(

Couldn't find his 10.15 uploaded yet but here is his 10.25 and 20.47 double win several weeks ago.

I don't follow sprinting closely enough to know if this girl has a bright future past the high school level, but Dani Prunzik won the 100 and 200 three straight years in the highest high school classification in this area. She's going to Penn State:
Very good times. She should be a solid sprinter in college.
Of course, one never knows. Some high school phenoms completely fizzle out in college; while other high school no names, go on to great success.
