if i saw the photo correctly, a White cat took second in the boys 200m, Tyler Floyd from Washington state.Mia Brahe-Pedersen wins the Nike 200m at the Nike National HS Championships, in a time of 23.25 (no wind)!
Marek Zakrzewski followed up his Championship Record from the semi-finals, with another CR in the finals, winning the gold in a time 10.32 (0.6w).
Congratulations to the 16 year old!
He's the fastest high schooler in Europe.
I'm just glad the Swede didn't win.
He was cocky and full of himself in the heats.
Today he was served some humble pie!
in the boys 200m opening heats, the three fastest performers were all our guys, including 16-year-old Italian Eduardo Longobardi whose 21.18 was well clear of the rest of the field. there’s still a lot of running left to go, but our guys have made a nice start.
15-year-old Charlotte Henrich (Great Britain) won the girls 400m, running a personal-best 53.54.
Mia McIntosh could just be the next Sally Pearson in the 100 Hurdles someday. What an epic performance. Thanks for posting that Jimmy Chitwood.
I was looking at the European Under 20 Top Lists in the Mens 100 Meters. Marek Zakrzewki is ranked 3rd even on that list and he is only 16 years of age. Another thing to consider is that he ran times
in the low 10.30's three times and with little wind. That obviously means it's not a one off and he can replicate this again in the future. I also like his speed endurance as he has proved he can run rounds.
This kid could really become the male face of Polish Sprinting in the next 8 to 10 years. We might just be looking at the male version of Ewa Swoboda!
