That kid has some skills, smooth athlete!

That's Collin Chandler, a 4-star, 6'4 SG from Farmington, Utah. He's a high school senior but is more of a class of '24 than '22 prospect because he will take the next two years on his Mormon mission. The 247 recruiting site has him ranked #30 nationally and the #6 combo guard in the nation. BYU, Utah, Stanford, Arizona, and Gonzaga are all considered leaders (along with Oregon, bleh!), but I don't know how the scholarship situation or decision timeline comes into play. With that recruiting profile, Chandler can pretty much pick his spot. BYU may get lucky here.

Who knows, maybe Collin Chandler if he picks BYU could be another Jimmer Fredette type. He seems like more of a passer and slasher but two years is a long time. I just
hope he doesn't regress too much. Hopefully he can play some pickup basketball on his off time on the mission.

Benjamin Schroder commits to Oklahoma. He is a 6' 7" forward from Germany. Led Germany's under 19 team in scoring.

Not crazy about the team he is going to but the Ok. Sooners lucked out with this kid. Great athlete with good handles that can pass, shoot and defend. His dribbling
skills are amazing for a 19 year old big man. Many guys in the nba don't have as good handles as Schroder and he is 6'7. Very impressive!

New HC Porter Moser might be better! He was very fair while at Loyola Chicago. OU did have Reeves and Manek last few years as well.

White players are underrated and disrespected by the scouting services as a bloc. There also seems to be a natural "cap," subconscious or not, on the percentage range of white high schoolers featured by the scouting industry. The point guard position is going the way of football's defensive backfield in terms of excluding whites at an early age from consideration.

Meanwhile, the few players who garner attention are often destined to be major contributors. Here are the top-ranked high schoolers from 247 at the moment.

Class of '22
#8 Kyle Filipowski, 6'11 C, Duke
#32 Gradey Dick, 6'6 SF, Kansas
#36 Colin Chandler, 6'4 CG, uncommitted Utah lean (taking a mission year)
#44 Donovan Clingan, 7'1 C, UConn
#48 Isaac Traudt, 6'8 PF, Virginia
#56 Jaden Schutt, 6'5 SG, Duke
#58 Isaac McKneely, 6'4 CG, Virginia
#60 Kam Craft, 6'5 SG, Xavier
#65 Alex Karaban, 6'7 PF, UConn
#68 Jaxon Kohler, 6'9 PF, Michigan State
#70 Dylan Anderson, 7'0 C, Arizona
#74 Justin Taylor, 6'6 SF, Stanford
#84 Tyler Nickel, 6'8 SF, North Carolina
#87 Rowan Brumbaugh, 6'4 PG Northwestern
#90 Fletcher Loyer, 6'3 SG, Purdue
#92 Zach Keller, 6'9 PF, Wake Forest
#96 Joseph Pinion, 6'6 SF, Arkansas
#100 Eli King, 6'3 CG, Iowa State
#106 Brendan Hausen, 6'4 SG, Villanova
#116 Ben Shtolzberg, 6'5 PG, Creighton
#122 Aidan Mahaney, 6'2 CG, St. Mary's
#123 Joe Huribert, 6'10 C, Colorado
#124 Camden Heide, 6'5, Purdue

#81 Bron Roberts, 6'10 C
#82 Austin Ball, 6'7 SF
#86 Andrej Stojakovic, 6'6 SF
#87 Reid Ducharme, 6'4 SG
#88 Owen Freeman, 6'10 PF
#106 Pryce Sandfort, 6'6 SF
#109 Parker Friedrichsen, 6'3 SG
#110 Maki Johnson, 6'3 SG
#111 Gus Yalden, 6'8 C
#116 Asa Thomas, 6'5 SF
#128 Drew Steffe, 6'5 SG

Sadly, I’d say the class of 22 top 150 is much better than the average year. 15% which probably lines up with an NBA draft.

Kyle Filipowski in my honest opinion as a life long basketball fan is vastly underated at the number 8 pick. There are not even close to 7 high school kids better than him. The
kid can do everything. Duke as always seems to get the cream of the crop. I don't like what they've done with our guys lately. Hopefully the trend reverses.

Good for Gonzaga to keep the pipeline going!

Chandler would be a huge get for BYU. Fits good for what they're trying to do.

Didn't know where else to post this, so it may have been posted elsewhere, but this sort of thing REALLY gets my fists clenching. Look at the size of that mannish looking bitch who just cheap shots the other player. States she's the daughter of an NBA player. Wonder which?

i don’t know how he projects to the collegiate level, but Eli Ellis is doing this to everyone:

as an aside, this is the type of aggressive, tough, no excuses mentality, playing style, and work ethic that White kids need if they’re to re-take their rightful place in the pantheon of sport.

One of the best high school kids in the country is only a sophmore. Reed Sheppard is the real deal. The kid has already scored 50 pts or more twice this season!

Oliver Miller? Not that he was violent, or maybe Shaq. I don't think it's Marcus Camby with his willowy build.

Peja Stojakovic's son Andrej is one to watch! 6'7 Wing who is physical enough to play as a 4/5 in HS. I'd love to see him choose St. Mary's and star there as a True Freshman. Though I believe at some point? Bigger offers will pour in.

https://247sports.com/Article/Basketball-recruiting-Andrej-Stojakovic-Peja-Stojakovic-179803094/

This is great news but I hope he is patient. St. Marys would be great but I would prefer he goes to a school where we can see him more on national tv. I used to love watching
his ded play or he was one of the best european players in the nba back then. Drazen Petrovic was as well but he died tragically in his prime. There are so many great athletes
from that part of Europe. It's almost like the breed them to become stars. Good luck to Andrej in the recruiting process.
