I posted this live performance of Calypso by John Denver earlier in this thread. He was a unique, quintessential American talent.

There's no music video for this song. Just an album cover.
I stumbled upon it by accident, since I had never heard of the band before.
I'm surprised it hasn't been scrubbed from the internet, given that it takes a vague shot at the (((Disney))) Corporation and abortion.

Here are the lyrics, if you can't make them out:

Looks like now the Beatles weren't so bad
Mr. Manson makes the Four look fab
'Cause death and evil is what sells today
And Walter Disney's spinnin' in his grave.

Grandpa's Woodstock acid wasn't brown
President lit up and passed it down
The days of outrage have all gone away
I bet that Disney's spinnin' in his grave.

Remember back to days when
Kids were kids and it was fun
And the kids didn't carry guns
While we were pleasure hunting
We got tricked like Elmer Fudd
Brainwashed by the media.

Inconvenienced by a small mistake
Mother chooses to exterminate
I wonder what the forefathers would say
The land of the free, home of the depraved
I bet that Disney's spinnin' round
I bet that Disney's spinnin'
I bet that Disney's spinnin' in his grave.

Fun fact: Rammstein made a walkout song for Vitali Klitschko that was rejected being deemed "too hard".

I’ve always been a fan of Audioslave. RIP Chris Cornell. The guitarist, Tom Morello, is an annoying left wing activist and self described socialist, but he is a very good musician.

Morello used to be in Rage Against the Machine (may still be for all I know if the group is still together). That group was/is a bunch of open communists.

So is System of a Down, which admittedly has made some very good music.

Doesn't surprise me at this point that most actors/musicians are openly communist. Even though they have talent, it's obvious why they were chosen to be in the limelight. Rage sucks, System has several songs I really like. Recently heard some new music from them as well. All it took was Armenia going to war with Azerbaijan lol.

I agree that Rage Against the Machine is awful.

The White Power music scene was getting pretty big in the U.S. about 25 years ago, though it was always an underground phenomenon. It had gotten big in England before that, with the groups Skrewdriver and Brutal Attack leading the way. Some of the these groups had real talent, others were more garage bands. But the talented ones gave up any chance of making good money in the corporate music world by standing for what they believed in.

As a teen and young adult I liked Rage - this was before I was completely awake to what was going on in the world. Always liked there music when working out but sometime in my mid 20s I just said F these bozos and deleted there music. Morello is a communist and one of the biggest leftist blowhards from the 90s rock music scene. A typical celebrity leftist who is a millionaire yet spouts marxist nonsense and openly attacks "the patriarchy". That whole band is just 4 hypocritical millionaire ******** who have benefited from the corporate communism that runs rampant in modern society.

System of a Down is a solid band - their drummer is actually a pretty ardent Trump supporter but the lead singer is your typical left wing nut.

"Rage Against the Machine" and their communist ilk are a joke - Communists ARE the machine, and have been since the late 1960s. Those types are just hypocrites who want to enjoy the fruits of capitalism for themselves while pushing communism on everyone else. Those are also the same hypocrites who always say:

1. White people are privileged
2. Except for me, Mr. or Ms. White Liberal. My special understanding of minorities' pain makes me the only white person who isn't privileged.
3. White people got their stuff by being privileged and should give it all up
4. Except for me, I earned all my stuff and should get to keep it

Yes, their attitude is "Communism for you, capitalism for me."

I've been delving into the artistic history of white people. In doing so I ran across an article by a music critic attacking Lawrence Welk and others who played similar music, such as Sammy Kaye. I'd never heard of Sammy Kaye. So I decided to hear for myself. The critic's article had the opposite effect that he intended. Instead of disliking it I found some good music. I rejected everything the critic said. Here's Sammy Kaye and His Orchestra with Harbor Lights.

Both Clapton and David Bowie were regarded as sympathetic to Britain's National Front for a brief time when it was at its peak in the mid-1970s.

I'm continuing to delve into the artistic history of white people. This is possibly the first jazz record ever recorded. The Original Dixieland Jass (sic) Band with Livery Stable Blues, 1917. They were early innovators of jazz.

Here's a pretty good cover band called The Neighborhood Picnic Band. Here they do a cover of the Knickerbockers' Lies.
