Good Music Videos

A classic song from Uriah Heep, a pretty much forgotten group now that was big for a while, circa 1972 or '73. I hitchhiked with a friend to watch them in concert at the old Civic Arena in Pittsburgh when I was a teenager. I hitchhiked a lot for a couple of years, usually with a buddy or a girlfriend, sometimes alone. We still had a semblance of a free country then, even girls sometimes hitchhiked alone. Unimaginable today; I can't even remember the last time I saw a hitchhiker.

Here's a video of Top of the Pops dancers dancing to Creedence Clearwater Revival's Green River. Compare this to the crude, lewd stuff they do today like twerking.

Can't find a better man! Probably the only line I know but my local rock station plays it often!

One of my favorite rock songs of all time is by Guns N Roses. "November Rain" just never gets old. I dedicate this to my sister who died about a decade ago and she loved the song as much as I do. :)

Extra Point, you dirty dog!

That was certainly the definition of “good music video”. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic song indeed and glad it reminds you of your sister! RIP.

The last quarter of the song is perhaps as epic as any in the rock ballad genre. Truly amazing instrumentals.

Here's a classic, sad song from the Doobie Brothers and Michael McDonald, who has a great voice and who had a memorable career as a solo artist. The lyrics reflect what a lot of well-meaning but duped men have gone through in life.

Thank you my friend. I still love her and miss her even though it's been a long time now. She was far too young to die. Yes the ending is epic. Love Classic Guns N Roses.

The Gin Blossoms' music holds up really well, some of the best music of the '90s. This gem may be their best song:

Here's another good song by The. Cult. Fire Woman.

Here's another good song by the Gin Blossoms. Found Out About You.

Here's another song from that era, Swing Swing Swing. This song was written by Louis Prima. This version has Gene Krupa playing on it.

Since this is Memorial Day I thought I would post this song from Tim McGraw.
