Fedor is my favourite sportsman on the planet. As a Russian speaker i can testify that he speaks very intelligently and lives according to the 'true' Russian ways. He should be a role model to every other sportsman.

The nature of the sport means that anyone can lose in MMA - no matter how good they are. They fact that he hasnt lost yet is absolutely mindblowing. However I dont expect him to lost against Rodgers. Time and time again people have thought that perhaps finally hes met his match, and each time he proves them wrong.
Very well spoken "accesscrimea"!!

Accesscrimea, well said indeed sir. Fedor is one of my favorite athletes as well (thus my avatar). He is so no-nonsense, stoic & classy as a fighter. He's the polar opposite of the modern, thug "afflete".

Agreed! One more way that he is the opposite of the modern afflete is that he is good at what he does.

Thanks for posting that full card, Dixie. Almost as excited about that Mousasi fight as the Fedor fight.

Can't wait for this fight tonight even though I am not really an MMA fan.  These caste matchups will be great.

If you go just by the pictures, you'd think Fedor for sure should lose. He's just such a normal looking guy, like someone you would see watering his lawn out in the suburbs. Whereas Rogers is one scary looking dude.

I've heard Fedor described as "sleepy" looking.

I ducked out of a social engagement to stay home and watch this match.

Quit calling me, bitch. I'm not going to answer.

Fedor is fighting.

Hopefully Fedor destroys the afrolete.  After Valuev getting robbed in today's fight vs the Gayemaker I can't take any more losses.

Rogers did much better than I thought he would. Fedor still smashed him out in the second, but Rogers might have been on brink of a ko/tko win in the first when Fedor was being pounded on the cage and his face looked like a bloody mess. One thing though Rogers stamina came back to bite him in the ass as he was clearly the weaker guy in the second stanza.Edited by: white is right

A gassed Rogers ate a huge right cross landed hard on his head and Fedor pounced and landed 2 or 3 unanswered temple shots and the referee humanely stopped it.

arghhhh! what happened? how did he win?

To quote Fedor "I analyzed his data in my integrated ballistics computer... I mean I watched footage of him and found a weakness in his legs flaying and I executed program A36-B... I mean I took advantage of it."

That's why I love Fedor.

When Fedor was leaking Hydraulic fluid I was a bit worried there might be another stoppage, but not that Rogers could ever beat him.

Fedor KO 2. Rogers did ok in the first (though Fedor still took the round). The superior white athlete ended it with a highlight reel KO as the overrated, overhyped Great Black Nope went groggy and was saved by the ref.

Pretty much the same thing that Mousasi did to Sokoudjou.

And how good was the Shields v. Miller fight? Two superior white athletes putting on a ground clinic for 5 rounds.

Only the robbery of Valuev v. Haye put a slight damper on the day.

MMA is the white mans sport.
