stop for just a second and think of the kind of team you could have just with the guys in your last post, Don...
in the secondary we have:
CB Steve Gregory, who, i believe is second all-time in the Big East in pass deflections despite playing conrer for less than three full seasons.
CB Dustin Fox, the most athletic player on the national championship Ohio State team who started as a sophomore.
S Mitch Meeuwsen, a multiple all-conference pick in the Pac-10.
LB Rocky Boiman, an athletic linebacker who started at Notre Dame since his sophomore year.
LB Spencer Havner, an all-American at UCLA who was one of the top linebackers in the nation for two years and perenially up for the Butkus award.
i'd say that would be a serviceable group to start our defensive unit... and on offense:
WR Kevin Kasper, who holds 3 All-Time NFL Combine speed records and is the all-time best receiver to play at Iowa and one of the best kick returners in the NFL.
WR Troy Bergeron, the Arena League Rookie of the Year with legitimate 4.3 speed broke the Arena League's single season receiving record
as a rookie with 1,372 yards and 31 touchdowns.
WR Jimmy Farris, a Division 1-AA all-American who was the Redskins second leading receiver in the pre-season.
OT Rob Petitti, an all-American at Pitt who was the first Pitt o-lineman to be a repeat all-conference performer since 93-94, and he earned it three times. started all 16 games for the Cowboys last year.
hmmm... i'd say these are some really shiatty players...
