Dustin Fox goes to Vikings.

I was hoping he was gonna make the nickel spot til Cedric Griffin got drafted. Oh well, a white CB on an NFL roster is still a victory, albeit a small one.

Dustin Fox is the 6 or 7 string CB. He didn't touch the field in the second string dime and nickel package but only made it on in dying seconds.

We have a black DB coach and black defensive coordinator so things aren't looking too good.

http://www.vikings.com/coach_detail_objectname_Joe_Woods.htm l

They have Winfield, Smoot and then Undrafted FA Devonte Edwards(Fox was a 3rd round pick last year) and rookie Cedric Griffin(2nd round) as Nickel and looks like Ronyell Whitaker(NFL Europe and Tampa Bay practice squad where the brothers hail) will round out the corners unless they want to keep their lowly 3rd round, national champion CB and undisputable cracker D. Fox as a 6th Corner.

But then again Rookie FA Charles Gordon from Kansas who runs a 4.65(Fox 4.47) should bless the team as a 6th with superior balance and field vision but he doesn't get back from knee surgery for a week-just in time for last preseason game.

I think the brothers had opposite plan for Fox than Greenway because Greenway was 100% going to make it. Fox WASN'T allowed to play special teams, just in case he made some great plays.

Of course, this years second round pick is knighted the 3rd string CB before camp started. Yes , but he just came off National Champion Texas last year and what championship did Fox ever win in College...ooops bury that thought

Another DB went down for the Vikes, Devonte Edwards.

In the local rag, Pioneer Press, they mention this opens up opportunities for Undrafted and hurt FA Charles Gordon and unhearalded FA Tony Beckham. Fox was third round pick last year that played CB for national champion Ohio State as a freaking sophomore!!!!
Again, 3rd Round pick!!!!

No mention of Dustin Foxin the article, who after watching him this preseason I have come to conclusion he is as good as any our back-ups.

This isn't unbelievable to us at Caste Football but to someone that is unaware of situation , it would be insane.

Read the article and decide for yourself

BTW, Fox played really well last night

Maybe the writer presumes Fox is still a safety, could you really blame him?

Fox just signed with the Eagles practice squad. I am not counting on a breakthough though

Fox is on the dirty birds now?! The other blackest team in the league (next to New Orleans). Don't anyone get their hopes up, he'll be lucky if the bruthas let him sit next to them on the bench.

On a lighter note, if anyones interested, there is Tim Dwight, punt return, high-light reel that someone created on youtube.com. Just go to the site and type in Tim Dwight, its there. Theres one for Wes Welker too.

Groundfighter,

Of course in the wire news release, he was listed as a Safety! This caste system thing is getting more ridiculous day by day.

<A name=346742>Eagles | Fox promoted to roster from practice squad
Tue, 19 Sep 2006 12:56:02 -0700

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced placing SS Dustin Fox on the team's 53-man roster from the practice squad.

Beat me to it but notice he is now a SS NOT a CB

great, maybe once he can start playing they can move him.. even if they don't it's one more white defensive back, it's not like we have too many of those!

I read on the eagles website how they are thin at cb and Fox was saying he might be playing some cb. It seems the Eagles love Considine so they might actually give Fox a fair shot.

I live in Philadelphia and the local sports channel (Comcast SportsNet) said that he will be a cornerback for the Eagles...

Great news occ, they are very thin at CB so hopefully Dustin sees alot of time

Great news! Keep us updated on how Dustin does. I hope he gets some time at CB soon.

Yeah guys, the Eagles are being very 'public' about this move. Go to NFL.com, then go to the Eagles website. Its plastered all over the front page. Video interview and all.

The Eagles also have a white safety who has played some, maybe they can see the field at the same time this week...

haha, cornerback it is! hopefully it will be a breakthrough! great video interview, thanks for info Ground Fighter

btw Eagles have a great site, you can see photos, get wallpapers and get a in depth pdf mediabio for every player!

soon we might see two white guys in their secondary!

Sean Considine is the safety OCC, he is a great player and is probably in line to replace Dawkins.

This is the BEST NEWS OF THE YEAR SO FAR!!!I am so happy for Dustin.Let's hope he can eventually start at corner there. He is as fast as they come and he has an incredible vertical. If they give him the proper chance,he will lock down some of the best receivers in the nfl. Finally a slight break in the Caste System. He would be the first cb since Sehorn if he eventually becomes a starter.Good job Philadelphia.First drafting Jeremy Bloom and now this. They even play Mahe at running back and he is samoan. Most teams might not even give him a chance at running back.

The Eagles are generally considered to have the best starting defensive backfield in the NFL. Three of the four are Pro Bowlers and CB Sheldon Brown may make it one of these years too. Only free safety Brian Dawkins is older than 27. At almost 33 he is probably nearing the end of his starting career which might open a spot for Considine or Fox down the road.

Right now the Eagles have just three white starters out of 22. Two of them are o-linemen, and one of them, Todd Heremanns, could lose his position to a black. Hopefully Fox will get some playing time, but Andy Reid isn't about to be a Caste-buster.

LB McCoy is a starter and had a huge opening game this season. Knowing Reid he might as well go back to the bench though, for no good reason at all...

as long as Fox will get a fair shot i will be happy. Right now he's listed as their 5th corner

Hate the Eagles and their anti-whiteness, but giving Fox a chance would move them up some in my book for sure.. good luck to Dustin!

here's the latest articleon Dustin's move.

check out the piece's opening statement... i don't think they knew how true it was.

As a high schooler in Canton, Ohio, Dustin Fox loved playing running back.

He wasn't bad, either, racking up 2,500 yards and 38 touchdowns for GlenOak High.

He had no shot at keeping the position.

"No shot" hmm I wonder why?
