Im a huge Denis Boytsov fan, and I dont mind Darnell Wilson as being his scheduled opponent, to be honest I think its a decent matchup all things considered. Just my own opinion.

Denis did not look impressive in his last outing (TKO 6 Matthew Greer), and he has been largely inactive, fighting very infrequently for the last 2 years (in fact, this will only be his 4th fight in over 2 years). Boytsov's career hit a high-note in 2009 with successive impressive TKOs over Garcia, Bidenko, and Gavern. Since then inactivity has taken its toll and Denis looks rusty. Right now, I think Denis needs a fight to gain him back his confidence.
Yes, after his long layoff he didn't look so good against the clubfighter Greer.

So he probably does need an opponent like Wilson right now as a stepping stone to get back to top level.

I just hope his promoter keeps him active this year.

Thanks for providing that stream and its great that the fight is easy to watch. Personally however I am working at that time and will be unable to watch the fight live. Shame, I would have liked to watch Boytsov/Wilson. Oh well, Ill have to catch it on youtube the next day!

Id love to see a Boytsov KO win. Chagaev as well, should win big if he wants to reenter title contention.

Nice double header and outcomes.

Chagaev doesn't try to be in shape no more, but he's still a very tough gate keeper.

Boytsov wins by KO 4.

It's the first time Darnell Wilson has ever been counted out.

The only problems for Boystov is his size. He won't be able to beat the Kltischko's because he's just too small. He has a small chance against Povetkin. He'd be better suited at cruiser where I think he could beat the likes of Steve Cunningham and Guillermo Jones.

Nice overhand right by Boytsov that put "ding a ling" on the mat. Wilson was all the rage 4 to 5 years ago as the next Tyson.

I hope 2012 will be an active year for Denis, leading to a breakout performance(s) He needs to stay active first of all.

I agree with WA 33, Boytsov needs to fight in the cruiser ranks. No way he can beat the K Bros. A Hellinius yes, K brother, no way.

I'd like to see him get in there with a serious heavyweight like Helenius or Chagaev. You know the heavyweight division is nonsense when Hasheem Rockhead is getting a title fight before Boystov. His best bet would be cruiserweight. He could make some good fights.

Boytsov looked sensational VS Wilson! As noted, nobody has ever knocked Wilson out before. He has been stopped twice but never knocked out. This fight he was knocked out and very early on, thats a great achievement and a testament to the punching power of Boytsov.

Boytsov is definitely the best guy at heavyweight 25 and under. Thats the whole point, is he's so young and he still has so much time to improve and manoeveur himself into favourable titleshots.

Alex Dimitrenko has been brought up as possibly being his next opponent and that would be a great fight. I'd favour Boytsov in that fight but Dimitrenko is quite a live underdog due to his size, recent form, and skills. I also agree that Boytsov is too small for the Klitschko's. At his age of 25, his best strategy is to wait it out until the Klitschko's retire, and then be a big player in the post-Klitschko scene.

I'd have to say Helenius, Povetkin, and/or Boytsov are the top guys other than Klitschko's. There are some decent black up and comers as well including Mike Perez, Seth Mitchell and Odlanier Solis (not really an up and comer but at his age still young enough to stick around for 5+ years). I would have to say I prefer the Euro3 though, and Im especially critical of Seth Mitchell (its never a good sign when a guy takes up boxing at 28 years old).

Klitschko's have been truly phenomenal alltime greats but I do admit there would be some very interesting fights in their aftermath.

I'd love to see Boytsov fight Deontay Wilder, Alex Dimitrenko, Manuel Charr, or even Ruslan Chagaev next.

This Deonte Wilder seems to be quite the rage for the wiggers and drunk white fans. Funny thing is, I don't see a legit heavweight on his resume. He does have a 100% KO percentage and is also 6'7 so I suppose he's considered a dangerous fighter due to that.

Yes, he is an American Olympian from 2008 who won a Bronze Medal, *not 100% sure* but I believe he lost to Italian silver medalist Clemente Russo. That category was won by the much better Rakhim Chakhkiev, Russian Gold Medalist now Cruiserweight Pro.

Wilder has numerous amateur losses to high profile European fighters and it remains to be seen if that will also equate itself in the pro rankings.

Wilder obviously has some talent, can hit, but he has been matched VERY SOFTLY and VERY EASILY thus far in his career. He has beaten 1 or 2 decent journeymen fighters, but thats about it. Ive also read that he has struggled in some of his easy matchups.

The bottom line is we won't know how good Wilder is until he steps up.

Yes I agree that all kinds of Wiggers and white-black supremacists seem to be backing this guy. Im honestly not surprised. Overhyped black American boxing star beating up cab drivers always gets a pass.

He already has twenty pro fights under his belt. He's going to have to step up his competition real soon. I'm thinking this guy is the black version of Tye Fields, both big guys who have some power but lose to every legit heavyweight they face.

Video of Boytsov's KO of Wilson:

Boytsov's next fight could be against Kubrat Pulev for the European HW title.

That would be a good one. Boystsov looked sensational as always, but time to move up. Both of them are undefeated. Pulev is much a much larger man, though. Boxing desperately needs at least one more heavy weight division for fellers just over 200, or even a little bigger like Boytsov, but there's no common sense in the sport, just corruption.

And speaking of corruption - Rahman's ranked 62 in the world by Boxrec, and they're telling us he's the "mandatory challenger". Money must have changed hands someplace

His manager's name is "Cohen" - need I say more? He's the same one who Shannon Briggs claims cheated him out of his purse after his fight with Vitali.

Its funny how hundreds if not more black fighters allow themselves to be hosed over by their management when its all said and done. I can think of only 3 fighters who refused to let it happen to them. Ray Leonard, Larry Holmes and currently Floyd Mayweather.

Mayweather's purses have gone up exponentially since he broke away from the bloodsucker Arum.

Manny Pacquiao generates more revenue for his fights, but his purses are a fraction of what Mayweather receives. Here are the numbers:

http://cdn2-b.examiner.com/sites/de...sh/19/68/196890e4b92de26d6c8c943a0fd8b436.jpg
If those purses are true Pacman is being ripped off. I wonder with the Rasputin Koncz as an "advisor" what is he getting after all the deductions. Boxing might have another story of a former boxer who made millions that is destitute or forced to hustle casinos and sport memorabilia conventions to survive.

Denis Boytsov will be back next Friday, April 13 fighting the durable Dominick Guinn on a card promoted by Felix Sturm.

Another Universum boxer, Sebastian Zbik, will be fighting Sturm on the same card.

Guinn has never been down. Will Boytsov be the first to put him on the canvas?

Boytsov wins by UD.

I was hoping Denis would be the first to stop Guinn, but it's good that he won.
