Another example of the obsession with white receivers alway being compared to Proehl or Welker etc.

Closeup: Wide receiver David Anderson
David Anderson is being mentioned in the same sentence as Steve Tasker  by fans, not the Texans' coaches or players.
Tasker, who was
drafted by the Oilers, signed with the Bills after being waived. He
played on four Super Bowl teams and became one of the best special
teams players in NFL history.
"Sure, that's a
compliment, but the truth is I hear comparisons to just about every
white receiver under 6 feet," Anderson said with a laugh. "I've heard
Don Beebe and
Steve Largent.
"The one I'm hearing now is
Wes Welker."
At 5-10, 196, Anderson is taller than the Patriots' receiver, who had more than 100 catches last season.
Anderson, who had
12 catches for 131 yards and a touchdown last season, is the kind of
player that a team's coaches just can't cut loose.
"I'm so much more comfortable in this offense now," he said. "I'm playing with a lot more confidence."
Anderson, a
seventh-round pick from Colorado State in 2006, is a special-teams
demon who makes enough good plays at receiver to stay on the team into
the regular season.
For the second season in a row, he's probably going to force the coaches to keep an extra receiver
