A reversal!!?

Side note time. Being from NY if you commit a burglary the most time you can get ( if having no priors ) is a year in jail or 6 months and 5 years probation though you only do 2/3 of the time.
In Indiana some kid burglarized a store ( with no priors ) and got 20 years in prison. Why is there such a discrepancy for crimes from state to state? Just wondering.

Usually if there is a crime wave of a crime quick laws are written up to discourage the crime from being committed again and to punish violators of the law, whether this deters potential criminals is up for debate.

Simpson got the lengthy term because he confined his victim while using a firearm. If he did it with physical force or just took the memorabilia his sentence would have been about 2 years less a day.

Poor Feech, was sorry to see him exit that show so quickly even as he was a rarity in not being offed.

But I think O. J.'s too old now to do much criminal damage anymore. He hasn't aged well. He'll probably spend most of his time golfing and getting some easy celebrity gigs. Sad to say there's a significant portion of White America that still adores him.

The kind of Whites associating with Simpson now are either stripper types or criminals.

The memorabilia dealer typifies the type of "friend" Simpson has these days. If I had my "friend's" personal affects there is no way I would sell them without giving him or her a heads up on having them and why I was selling them. The dealer was only interested in peddling Simpsons photos because he was owed cash by desperate sellers.
Just associating with criminals could get Simpson in trouble and Simpson doesn't get it like he didn't the day he got a get out of jail pass from the biased jury. His self serving statement of leading a conflict free life prior to the bungled robbery sums up his mindset.

Not certain what to make of this, as if a man is not in his right mind he cannot be held criminally responsible for his actions, though this man, ex NFL player Brian Price, would be liable for replacement of the glass door he ran through. Strange behavior nevertheless:
