Considering that they signed him to this deal when he was in the middle of his massage ordeal, I doubt it. It’s just part of the sunk costs of TNB.
That’s exactly right. They knew all this and signed him anyway.

This deal is so exceptionally bad factoring in Watson has nearly zero marketability due to his proclivities. Then there’s the divisiveness of the contract with teammates. “They paid this scumbag, what? And he’s not even good”.

Honestly, the Browns needed Watson to play like Tom Brady 2.0 otherwise this was always a doomed deal. Now you can’t make a dime off this guy nor have a winning team. Plenty of schadenfreude to enjoy here.

Don’t worry guys. Analytics told Cleveland to be 100 percent upsider. LOL

they can collect data until they are blue in the face, but until they are collecting the accurate IQs of each and every player then all the data is for nothing.

I'm locking this temporarily as there is a 2024 Browns thread, which is what we should be posting on now. Same for the other 31 teams. The general threads are for use in the offseason or until a write-up is done for the new season.
