Arizona State received a verbal commitment from three-star LB Christian LaValle.

"It's an attack based defense with a lot of blitzing. They told me they like me as a middle or weakside 'backer and I'm fine wherever I play, I just want to get on the field," LaValle explained of his pledge to HC Todd Graham's outfit. Scout.com's Greg Biggins calls him a "classic tough, physical inside backer who plays with a non-stop motor," adding that "[h]e's very smart, instinctive and has a high understanding of how to play the game. He loves to hit and plays with a nice edge to him." The outlet ranks the 6-foot-1, 228-pounder as the No. 5 inside linebacking prospect in the state of California.


Boise State received a verbal commitment from three-star 2018 QB Zachary Wilson.

"I decided to go with Boise State because I feel it was a perfect fit for me developing as a QB. Having Coach Harsin and Coach Hill as QBs in the past is something big, learning from people who know what they're doing and who have been through it all," Wilson said. The Draper, Utah, native was not shy about offering up a few big names he models his game after -- those being Aaron Rogers and current starting QB for Boise State Brett Rypien. Wilson (6'3/200) is one of a number of prospects who has announced plans to ink up with a program of choice during the new December signing period.

Payton Copher the QB/ATH from Har-Ber High School in Arkansas received an offer from UL-Monroe! Big time offer for him as his only other offers were service academies and D2 schools. Kid can fly though and is very explosive.

Thomas Rush plays RB for Marysville High School in Ohio. He was committed to Bowling Green but de-committed and is now committed to Minnesota, but they said he will start out as a LB.

Hey Dolphin. I am 99% sure Austin Nagel is the brother of Northwestern wr Flynn Nagel. As is usual in college recruiting ; if somebody being recruited has a sibling at a school the former usually gets offered a scholarship. So I expect Austin to wind up at Northwestern though nothing is written in stone.
I had never heard of Talan Alfrey. I hope he does not got to BYU as they always recruit many white wr's and they all seem to go on Mormon missions and I swear you never hear of half of them ever again. I find it strange that no black BYU player has ever gone on a Mormon mission that I can recall although either did rb Luke Staley. I thought it was mandatory for all their athletes to do as such.

McCaffrey dude, you are probably right as Flynn went to Lemont too. As for BYU, I don't think you have to go on a missions trip. You don't have to be Mormon. I know they recruited a LB from Florida who was Catholic and was committed to them but ended up going to Boston College.

Syracuse wants him as a wr but the only info I can find on him is that all other 9 schools want him as a defensive back. Meaning he plays corner in high school but with 4.4 speed and being white he is now a d back which is castespeak for safety as we all know by now.
The second corner back is Clint Smullen out of California. There is absolutely nothing on the internet about him other than a Facebook picture. Espn.com has him getting offers from Utah and Hawaii. do you know anything more about these kids? Thanks.

I have posted about Nate Bauer. He is a stud! Plays for Archbishop Hoban along with Garrett Houser. I haven't seen anything about him committing to Maryland though. I read an article about a month ago where he said he wanted a Pitt offer and if he got one it sounded like that's where he would end up.

As for Smullen I had never heard of him. The ESPN profile says he plays for Orange Lutheran in California but he's not listed on their hudl page or on their maxpreps roster.

I enjoy finding these guys and watching their tape. I know some people just want to know about the guys that are getting D1 scholarship looks. But there are so many white skill guys that get overlooked. I post about those guys who dominate in high school but don't have any offers to show the amount of white kids getting screwed. I actually started doing this research because of a conversation with a friend of mine who said there aren't white kids who are better than black kids getting the scholarships. I knew that that wasn't true and from researching abut these kids have validated my thoughts.

Some good news Elliott McElwain the RB from Hewitt-Trussville High School in Alabama committed to Army!

Also Virginia Tech got a commitment from a RB from Florida. So it looks like they won't offer Coleton Beck, who is from Blacksburg, led the local high school to a state championship, rushed for 2,000 yards, and has world class speed with his 10.41 100M and a 4.28 40 at VA Tech's camp. It's utterly ridiculous. I hope he goes to Virginia and haunts VA Tech.
