I was thinking about Slade Bolden's commitment to Alabama. He will probably end up at receiver. If you look on his twitter he has videos of him at various camps and all the videos of him are at receiver. So I think Alabama was a better choice than LSU, Bama has played 2 white wide receivers the past two seasons. And I'm sure Daboll sold him on being Julian Edelman as he has seen what white guys can do first hand.

Some other news Coleton Beck received a Virginia Tech offer. I think that's the one he's been waiting for. I would still be cautious as I don't know why they offered so late in the process, but I would bet that's where he ends up now.

That's exactly what happened....they sold Slade Bolden on the Julian Edelman-role...yeah Bama getting graduate-transfers Richard Mullaney(Oregon State) & Gehrig Dieter (Bowling Green/SMU) definitely helped. LSU coaches dropped the ball on this one + already have several WR's committed.

Scanning 24 7HS Recruiting 100 Top Safeties for 2018' ...i am baffled...Have to go far down the list until you see a white Safety at #66. Are there really 65 Safeties across the country better than the Best white DB?? After that there is a decent run of white Safety prospects 4 of next 8...

#66 Evan Stewart 6'-1" 205 (NJ)..... Boston College commit
#68 Kevin Brennan 5'-11" 200 (NJ)....from powerhouse Don Bosco Prep....headed to Boston College or Rutgers?
#71 Quinn Brinnon 6'-0 185 (CA)....under recruited..Offers from Fresno St; Wyoming; San Jose St; Hawaii; Nevada; Army; etc...
#74 Trent Ingalls 6'-1" 175 (WI)....Wisconsin commit
#88 Ray Robinson 6'-2" 205 (CO)...Colorado commit

Just 5 of 100...not including #83 Will Overstreet(UT) mix?

Another day, another talented white walk-on committs to Wisconsin. John Chenal will be joining his brother Leo Chenal (class of '19 scholarship player )

https://www.buckys5thquarter.com/20...onsin-football-recruiting-john-chenal-commits

6'3 220 LB/RB
4.58 speed

If he was an upsider he'd have 20+ plus offers! Wisconsin continues to be underrated yet fertile recruiting ground, mostly because scouts refuse to venture past Killwaukee and open their eyes to the state's plethora of blue collar pale faced talent.

LB Marty Strey also committed as preferred walk -on!

And since no one else gives them a scholarship offer, there's no reason for Wisconsin either; so they just give them a "prefrerred" walk on offer, whatever that means.

Even J.J. Watt had to "walk on" at Wisconsin...here's his Caste journey:

Regarded as a two-star recruit by both Rivals.com and Scout.com, Watt was ranked neither among the top tight end nor among the top defensive end prospects in his class. After official visits to Central Michigan, Colorado, and Minnesota, Watt chose to play for Central Michigan under coach Butch Jones.

Watt received a scholarship offer from Central Michigan University and matriculated there. Watt has stated that he was led to believe that as a tight end, he would have the opportunity to score touchdowns. At Central Michigan, he played 14 games, compiling 77 receiving yards and 8 receptions. Watt's coaches suggested that he move to offensive tackle, but Watt decided to forgo his starting spot and scholarship to walk on at the University of Wisconsin, where he played as a defensive end.

And, I don't think it was even a "preferred" walk on offer, either.

On Sunday post above by Heretic just to reiterate that commit to Virginia Tech is speedster all purpose back Coleton Beck. To say he is a high priority here at caste is an understatement. We need more of this sort of thing. Power 5 schools getting white players with elite top of the scale speed.

Thanks for the updates...nice list Celtic DB & Heretic
Good call Rocky on RB Gadek; weeks before he Broke the Texas Single game record. Now they finally notice

Coleton Beck to Virginia Tech...are they really going to allow Two White Tailbacks(Coleman Fox/Soph.) on the SAME Roster?? Surely they'll get the itch to move one of them to the more appropriate Slot Reciever .....BTW so far this season Fox is averaging nearly 6 yards Per carry...(36 - 211 - 1 TD)

Cincinnati has produced elite talents like Travis Kelcie; Connor Barwin & Derek Wolfe....will keep an eye on DE/TE Dylan O'Quinn...you never know!

599 yards rushing in a single game, wasn't a blow out (no garbage time).....
Thanks 22 for seeing that.......Kid is only 170-180 lbs.....Needs a few more bowls of Wheaties, but deserves a D1 offer.........
