Funny how he mentioned to have the Jamaicans come to Aix-les-Bains....thats the problem, Christophe wont leave his surroundings. He should come to the US and learn new techniques in power/speed development and have someone overlook him. Trying new venues, training ideas is good for the body - stops the plateauing effect.

another interesting fact is that he didn't mention carraz...

That was just a joke. Christophe is conscious that he has to train with world class sprinters to reach next level, which can't be done without leaving his town of Aix-les-Bains. Good news.

Last paragraph states that Christophe will visit the US once again, possibly to train. Like I said in some of my previous posts, Lemaitre made his best progression after his 3 week training stint in Florida about 2 years ago. I think he knows what he needs to do.

He needs to get a little more muscles in his torso.
His first 30m are always very weak, really impossible to run fast times 100m with bad first metres.
So for him is very hard to get sub10, and by now only 9.95 with medium wind.
Im sure that he will improve his 100m although i see him with big future and better progression in 200m where he could to get 19.6-19.7 the next years.

He can get to the low 9.8's and 19.5 for sure with added power. I believe this 110%!

i dont think that 15/100.
He never will can to get so power like bolt, powell or blake first 30m.
But 0.05-0.10 i think that he could to improve in the future in first 30m.

Improvement first 60m

Ok, ZELLGADIS , let's think about an improvement of 0,1 the first 60m.

Here my timetable for improvement:

0,03 sec. 0-10m
0,02 sec. 10-20m
0,02 sec. 20-30m
0,01 sec. 30-40m
0,01 sec. 40-50m
0,01 sec. 50-60m

lacktating yes, it is possible that improvement in 2-3 years perhaps.
It would be great, with around 6.41-6.43 with good reaction around 0.14x
And 9.80-9.85 like his peak i think.
But it will be very very hard for Lemaitre to get that improvement in first metres.

He is really slow in that part of race compared with big sprinters.
Im happy if he improves a few the next year and he can to break his basic time(9.99 since barcelona semifinal 2010)or 9.9 low without big wind.
In 200 i wait sub 19.8 of course, this year he had bad luck in that semifinal in London OG :icon_sad:

Great news...exactly what all of us been saying the last 2 years...needs to work harder and longer, the rewards will eventually get there...the fact he started training season much earlier than ever mean he is hungry to win..not to place 3rd!..it is a matter of time when the world will see something special and out of the ordinary. He has the potential, the most "natural" gifted speed athlete.

100m 10,15 sec.

After 20m he's only second ... and then he wins with perhaps ... 7-8 meters margin/lead.
Nothing new ... but we all think, that he's learned the lesson. :icon_wink:

Lemaitre: A lifestyle to change 11-9-2012

[h=1]Athletics-FRA:Lemaitre: "A lifestyle change"[/h]A stop for two weeks because of a sprained left ankle, Christophe Lemaitre Friday attended the inauguration of the Halle Stéphane Diagana Lyon. The opportunity to make a point about his injury and his good intentions ...

"How is your ankle?
I feel almost no pain. Monday, I should be able to start the footings. In the meantime, I eat the weight every day.

How did you hurt exactly?
It was during the ceremony Interclub young (Dijon). I was in a rush, I ran and it was a bit of a mess. There was a table, I do not know what she did not care then and I wanted to release it. But I cleared too quickly ... In any case, I am not mounted on it.

Does it mean that you are always a little wacky?
Always, yes. But it is also what allows me to run fast.

Among the decisions to be more professional, which is the hardest to implement?
I started the workouts twice a day and it does not bother me. Aerobics is a big project and I'm already jogging longer: two laps racetrack at each meeting, which is twenty minutes whereas before I did nine or ten. It's still very tiring. It was also planned to have more treatment sessions, it does not bother me. But nutrition is a big project. I started but it is still far from the result. I try to vary my meals more even if it is a little hard to eat fish and vegetables. But it is not yet as if I ate everything. It is a way of life must change.

you an idea of your program this winter?
We will do as in previous years, with two or three more meetings France Championships (February 16-17). And perhaps the European Championships (March 1-3).Gothenburg is not completely removed, but we do not know yet.

How have you experienced the weeks following the Olympics?
I was a little tired and a little dried mentally too. A little low morale because of the results ... This is largely my fault. Because I had lifestyles that were not the ones I have had.

2012 is one year rotten?
That's for sure! Apart Championships in France and Europe, and my last meeting in Rieti, it has been a year rotten, that's for sure! I want to delete. Do as in 2011 with medals and being under the regular 10''. "

This is great news, I can't wait to see the results.

I agree that this is very exciting news. As far as the results, we should see some this year but it will take more than one year of proper diet and strength training to see major dividends. If he sticks with it, by 2016 we should see guy that is capable of times that will even put Jamaica on watch. This kid is a prodigy and he can really be a star that will continue to change perceptions about white speed. He has the potential to possibly become the fastest man in the world someday but everything would have to go right. Seeing a few of the yamaicans get caught would also be a huge boost.
