The best day in Castefootballs History!! The next best will be when Toby Gerhart goes for over 1000 yards!

Christophe is a legend. They will talk about him decades from now. He will always be the first white sprinter to cross the barrier. No one can ever take that away from him! What a nice kid. He has to be so pumped up right now. I doubt he will get much sleep all weekend.

The most amazing thing is that he did it after running 3 races in two days. He had to be a little tired and the pressure was immense. What a superstar!

Thank you Christophe for making this one of the happiest sports days of my life!

There are not enough icons or emotioncons to express the happiness I feel. It is official Don and cannot be changed. The wind was legal by a mile. This kid can run a sub 10 with or without the wind.

I already changed the title Jimmy. Please excuse me if I get a little drunk today. You guys have no idea how long I've waited for this magical moment. I feel like I won the lottery. I'm so proud of this kid. I can only imagine the pride his parents must have because I love the kid like he is my son. He deserves this moment. Pepe has worked so hard.

Only two things can top this moment. One is a gold medal at the World Champs or Olympics someday. The second is for him to beat Bolt and break the world record. Remember guys that he barely turned 20. He should get alot faster. I'm also hoping they catch some more of the drug cheats and the world record isn't a riduculous 9.58! It reminds me of Flo Jo because it is chemically induced in my opinion.

Oh well. Anything is possible.

As they say in the James Bond Movie, "The Spy Who Loved Me"......No body does it better!

Another toast to "The Master".

I feel very glad for you, White Lightning. You've been patiently predicting this day for a long time, when many others didn't have hope! Have a few on me and everyone else here.

Fantastic! I knew nothing about track and field before finding this site, but after visiting this forum it's really become a hobby for me to follow our guys and this is some culmination to 3 years of doing this! Even more so it's a GREAT achievment for white athletes!

What's so cool about this is that it's really a beginning point, not an end point. He's done this with such ease and consistency. The sky is the limit.

And I hope they do catch the Jamaican drug cheats.

I agree freedom1. He is only scratching the surface of what he is capable of. The kid just could eventually end up being the fastest man in the world. Anything is possible my friends. Don't ever tell Christophe that he can't do anything. The kid is so mentally tough. He is head strong and driven to be the best. People will have to respect him and fear him.

The 200 meters heat is only a few minutes away. I wonder if he will be racing? If so, good luck to Christophe. Please don't get hurt with the race agains Bolt and Powell in a couple of weeks and the European Champs only 3 weeks away!

One question guys.

WHERE THE HELL IS BRUTAL? Hahahaha.Hehehehe. Only blacks can run fast. They just don't make big tall white guys anywhere. What an idiot he is! He is so stupid and ignorant!

No one younger than Christophe has run faster this year. Only four men of any age have run faster.

With only a little luck, he could be the #3 rated 100m sprinter by the end of the season.

"Remember, by comparison, at the same age, none of the sprintersran a sub10! Carl Lewis had run only 10" battery, Tyson Gay ran 10 "08, Asafa Powell 10" 12, and even Usain Bolt had only 10 "03! When you know ... is that a sprinterreaches maturity between 24 and30 years, that dream of being the fastest man in the world could become reality!

Wonderful news! Now, that the mythical monkey (sub 10) is off his back, he can simply relax and become one of the greatest sprinters of all time. The sky's the limit.

I don't know how he could run being on cloud nine and with all of the interviews he is doing. Despite all of this, Christophe qualified for the finals in the 200. You could tell he was takingit easy.He has to be exhausted with this being his 4th race in a day and a half. Hopefully he can try and get a little rest and tommorow he can win the finals in the 200. Double champion of France in the 100 & 200 meters has a nice ring to it!

One thing I forgot to add. He is now also the French All Time Record Holder in the 100 beating Ronald Pognons old record.

The man. The legend....Christope Lemaitre!!!

Great accomplishment for Pepe! Naturally, I can't seem to find much "news" in the MSM about this event. at Track & Field News, the "bible of the sport since 1948", I can only find an entry in the commentary section. Here it is. There are some interesting comments.....

This is truly a great day! I hope this is the start of many good things to come this year. Hopefully the next will be Gerhart going over 1000, if he can average close to 5 ypc he will need only around 200 carries and average 63 yards a game, which could happen the way Peterson runs and how long workhorse runningbacks last in the NFL. Its only about 13 carries a game which is reasonable to expect his first year sharing carries with Peterson.

Man this is great , I didn't expect it to happen so soon! I don't know how I will celebrate yet.
